Inhale Peace, Breath out Love.

 The woman sat with eyes closed, shutting out the high pitch sounds that buzzed within her ears. She took a deep breath exhaling slowly.

The rhythm of her breathing soothing her mind. She felt her shoulders relax not realising the tension held within them. Her breathing became deeper as she felt herself tumble backwards into a void of love which held her suspended in its black velvety blanket of the Universe

She floated Free, held securely by the threads she had previously woven.

Each a Time Line, a silver thread almost invisible they reached out in all directions across time and space.  Each thread linked to another she hung there like a tiny dew drop in a massive spider’s web.

The woman tugged at the thread, she saw how the whole web vibrated to her touch. Everything was interconnected.

ALL is vibration.

She was searching for Truth, would she find it? Could she ever begin to explain it and would others ever recognise it?

The woman didn’t know, it no longer seemed important, because those who were meant to find the Truth would, in their own time and space.

She kept on breathing in the peace of the velvet void. Knowing the threads would all emerge when their time was right to be exposed to the light.

She breathed in deeper still… as her breath exhaled a gentle sigh of Peace..


On Sunday 6th January begins another Free to join live meditation broadcasts with Spring Forest Qigong Master Chunyi Lin, who is hosting a Chanting & Blessing Meditation with Three Tibetan Monks. They will begin chanting and meditating their blessings into the waters, with the intention to fill the water’s energy with these powerful sutras. This will carry positive energy to all the world.  They are chanting A Prayer for all Living Beings.

Letting Go, and Be Happy!

 

Letting Go.

 

I’m going to start with a short story from a book

  [“Called 15 ways to be a Happier You.”.Tia –Chi  Chi Kung]

Feeling bad may not have been a conscious choice, But what about feeling bad, about feeling bad?

A businessman came to see me and shared how everything around him had collapsed. He was financially bankrupt, his relationships had broken up, bills and debts flooded his desk. On top of that he was an alcoholic and his health was poor.

As the seconds ticked by, John recounted his miseries again and again. It was like a vicious wheel, everything he thought he shared revolved around the centre of his suffering. As he talked, I pointed to my watch and commented, ‘John, no one could deny you the right to feel that you are in a bad situation. And now…. You were in a bad situation… each moment passing by, you have a choice how to choose to be….now and now… and now, three seconds have just passed by…. how you choose to be now is your choice..

He listened, he took some deep sighs and realised—perhaps for the first time in his life—that he had this freedom of choice. He replied, ‘I think I know what you are saying. It is like compounding interest in the bank. Each moment of negativity can be compounded’.

I responded, ‘You’ve got it John, You could feel bad about having felt bad and the next moment, you could feel bad about feeling bad about having felt bad, about having felt bad…Or  you could actually release that old pattern and start anew this moment… and this moment.. and this moment now.”

End Quote.

 

There is a John inside all of us who at one time or another gives up hope and feels really down. If you are in such a situation now, gently accept how you are feeling. You did the best you could. Your bad feelings of feeling bad about feeling bad were simply your way of coping with the situation and you want the situation to get better.

Here is a visualization for you to do..

You are your own inner gardener with the ability to compost your negative thoughts and feelings,

Visualise that you are sitting in a beautiful garden.. See all the beauties of this garden See all your blessings and give thanks for them Then..See to one side of you beautiful garden in the corner some magic compost bins.

They are always here to use, day or night. All you have to do is your letting go exercise.. Imagine you are letting go of any negative feelings by placing them gently into your compost bin. Know that over a period of time your bin will turn all those ugly thoughts and transform them into a rich ‘black Gold’ to once again enrich and make your garden grow. Knowing that through your experience you will be stronger. Trust that once you have put the negative thought into the bin it will be dealt with.

If you are not a gardener.. Then why not visualise a huge Angel hand.. and you place all  your worries and negative thoughts into Gods hands. And it will be taken and dispersed of as the angels feel fit.

Also clearing out the old and making way for the new.. Recycle all the things you no longer use, give them away or give to charities.. see how good it makes you feel.

Start a garden.. it doesn’t have to be a big one, potted plants, a herb garden. Compost your own vegetable wastes. Feel good about making something grow, And then let that feeling grow inside of you.

Watch a funny film. Laughter is truly a magical medicine. There are many ways of ‘Letting go’.

I am re-learning again to let go of all the feelings and emotions that I have let build, which I know has contributed to letting the ‘stress’ build which I know has made me feel ill.

One of the first Qi Gong Exercises is to find your peaceful happy self by releasing and letting go…..  Even if you do not know how to do Qi Gong.. You all know how to breathe..

Breathe in deeply and evenly and as you breathe out release and let go.. Put all your problems into that bin or into God’s hands and you will soon find how lighter you will feel… I imagine all my problems as grey particles or smoke coming from within as I breathe out. Why not give it a try and see how you can Breathe yourself to a more peaceful and happier you.

Healing From within~ Qi Gong

Recently I made the decision to retire from work.  I have over the past few months become very lax in my daily routine.. Of cleansing and meditating.. And to be honest my body is letting me know as certain aches and pains return within my muscles.. 

I know that I have to get my own house in order ..

When I became very ill several years ago I put myself though a daily ritual which gradually increased my health and fitness and mental alertness.. While I was ill I joined a Qi Gong class, me being me I was going to try anything to help my FMS. Fibromyalgia  And it worked along with positive thinking, affirmations and a belief in my own bodies ability to heal.. I went from Fatigue and not being able to walk far and full of pain, to walking a total of 8 miles in one stretch. This didn’t happen over night, but over several months of altering my life style and thinking processes and  practising Qi Gong.. I practise Spring Forest Qi Gong at home. I still have regular Acupuncture sessions each month which I can whole heartedly recommend.  

So why have I let myself back slide??? I guess because we become complaisant and I took on more work within my job role. Also sitting down and not exercising is as bad as overdoing things too, For muscles cease up and joints become stiff.   The stress of my job which has over a series of months built up to a pitch where once again my body has reminded me to slow down and take stock.. And led to my decision to spend quality time with family. Tension has a profound effect upon our muscles as we do not allow our body to relax as it should. We should also look at what we put into our bodies too. Diet has an important roll to play in our well-being.  

Qi Gong is very gentle exercises with controlled breathing techniques that help the body become more supple and the mind more active.. The breath when you breathe deeply oxygenates your blood stream more fully, and I needed that oxygen to flow to my muscle tissues. When I joined the class I was surprised that some ladies of 60 plus attended, and now low and behold I have also reached that magic six O..  and one bless her was in her late 70’s.. Even more surprising I found that the eldest lady could touch her toes and was once upon a time reliant on a Zimmer frame, and could hardly walk let alone touch her toes..

So Once again I will begin,, And start to heal from Within.

Qi Means ‘Breath’ and ‘Air’ as well as energy.

 

Gong Means ‘Work’, ‘Skill’, and achievement.

 

Qi Gong Therefore means ‘Energy Work’, ‘Skill of Breath’ or ‘Energy Skill’.

Qi Gong helps you to cultivate your energy, and thereby cultivate your health.

 

How does this work?

Each of the movements and breath along with visualisation techniques has meaning. During the exercise a message is delivered that invokes a reaction within the body. The body then responds by toning, strengthening or nourishing a specific area, or the entire metaphysical system.

Chinese medical philosophers uphold that perfect health is the result of Qi Flowing through out the body via a series of channels called the ‘Meridians’.

Ill health is believed to be caused by blockages within these meridians. The meridians have twenty major channels. Twelve, which are linked to the human organs, and eight whose function is to act as conductors, and reservoirs distributing energy. There are also many more minor channels linking up to this grid.

 

Regular practice of Qi Gong will help to improve neuromuscular co-ordination, fine motor control, and central balance, whilst the simultaneous breathing practice contributes to a relaxed state of body and mind.

 

I can speak from experience that it has helped greatly with my own muscular condition. And helped to get my mind back on track.   So why not give it a try.

Thirty spokes together makes a wheel for a cart.

It is the empty space in the centre of the wheel

Which enables it to be used.

 

Mold Clay into a vessel;

it is the empty space within that creates the usefulness of the vessel.

 

Cut the doors and windows in a house;

It is the empty space inside that creates the usefulness of the house

 

Thus, what we have may be something substantial,

But its usefulness lies in the unoccupied empty space.

The substance of your body is enlivened by maintaining

the part of you that is unoccupied.
