Blackberry and Apple Chutney

Having a huge amount of Blackberries this year growing in our allotments behind our shed, I have picked and frozen many.. So imagine my joy when I came across this recipe ..

Turn down heat and allow to simmer for about 35 mins as you allow liquid to reduce, so do not cover with a lid

Blackberries picked and soaked to clean them.

Then add your Blackberries and cook for  a further 10 to 15 minutes..

I’ve got far too many apples Sue and dad’s blackberries plus the wild ones so I must give your recipe a try as it sounds very tasty. I can imagine it will go well with creamy goats or sheeps cheese. Thank you. Lolxx

Fantastic recipe, not very difficult to make it.
It sounds like a very pleasant salad-dressing;the idea of spreading it on cheese and having it with crackers is perfect!I suppose,it’s the best way to finish your supper and help the digestion process too.Thank you for sharing it with us,darling Sue 🙂 xxx

It is a lovely simple recipe.. I made it this time, I didn’t sweat down the onions, I cut them more finely into very thin shreads and placed them with the apples, cinnamon, balsamic , sugar vinegar etc and cooked all together for 40 mins on slow heat.. until all nice and soft and thickened.. Then add the blackberries I cooked for a further 15, Perfect..

I had some last evening with some cheese and crackers for supper.. 🙂 Oh and yes a glass of red wine went down a treat 🙂 with it lol.. xxx Hugs Sue x

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
