Where I dwell.. In Peace..

Hills of Derbyshire Peak

Hills of Derbyshire Peak

I enjoyed reconnecting to the place I grew up in. The Derbyshire Peak District. on May Day. Even though I have now lived away from this beautiful place for more years than I lived there, I still consider it home.

We had a wonderful Lunch at an old haunt of ours called the Barrel Inn..

Barrel Inn

Barrel Inn

This old pub is dated from 1597, it often gets cut off in the snow pictures Here  And I would roam the hills as a child with no thoughts of the dangers as there are today.  Below is a poem I wrote a while ago, but I thought it went well with the photo’s I have taken recently.. I hope you enjoy..

Peace it the place I dwell..

Up in the mountains… casting a spell

Of tranquil bliss, where Eagles soar

Away from man’s roar..

The Hills around where I grew up.

The Hills around where I grew up, the view from the Barrel Inn

Peace is the heart of natures Bliss

A rivers tears and dewdrop kiss

A leaf that floats across the sky

The smell of Earth, I ask her why

Wild Primroses

Wild Primroses

I feel her lonely heartbeat score…

I close my eyes……I feel Peace.. And More…

Peace is the quiet breath in early morn

When one opens your eyes to early dawn

Spring Lambs

Spring Lambs

When shadows no longer hold the dark

But when Peace is filled in Dawns red Heart..

Listen to the song of early light

When birds rise bringing their delight

Into a Day they worry not how to survive

But they Sing their joy as on wings they dive

Peace is the closed eyelids of a babies sleep

A mother’s love in whose arms she keeps

them tight and safe within slumbered dreams

I close my eyes…. I feel Peace … And More….

Bamford Wier

Bamford Wier A Painting of Mine.

Peace is the sweep of artists brush

As colours create the mountain hush

As clouds roll by on heavens sky

Peace is the shooting star that falls from high

But the best of these is as you close your eyes

As you hear the silence of your inward sighs

Listen now to the Peace within

as your mind is emptied of cutter and din

For I close my eyes ….

I feel Peace….

And More……………………..

March Energies: Dancing to the Light of the Moon..

Photobucket

Tonight is anther Full Moon, and to those who are astrologers know how these energetic cycles and phases of the planets impact upon our personal lives..  The dance of the heavens have always been a mystery to me, but one in which I have always been intrigued with.

As I look to the night sky, with an inner knowing of belonging to a far greater source of Oneness within our vast Universe.  The Moon’s own energies I know from experience plays a great part in the ebb and flow of our own emotional tides, and why wouldn’t it.. For we are Water based creatures over 70% make- up of water.. So as the Moon affects the tides of the oceans, is it any wonder it affects our own rising emotional tides within..

I read an article recently which said March is the Maker Month, I liked that, as I had already started to plant my seeds in their trays which now line my window sills.. And already after only one week I can see them beginning to sprout new growth.

I also read my Horoscope, something I don’t often do, which said within March issues may come up for review, and some things may appear intense, as the cosmic energies combine with some human actions.   Those of you who connect much more wisely than I on the astrological plane will know much more upon the alignments of planets than I do.

My own energies have been shifting, and I have had to learn how to feel comfortable within these changes.. Knowing if I assist in keeping my own energies in balance, I also help create a more balanced world.

Winter has been a time to rest, rebalance, and for me its brought about issues that I needed to revisit and heal. Learning to nurture ourselves is important.. But this also means not just our outer body with healthy food and exercise.. But also we overlook the many things we keep locked within us.. These last two months have allowed me to go within and face head on some of those hidden hurts I had thought were dealt with.. Yet there they were as large as life knocking upon my heart to be viewed once more.

That inner Knowing is also yelling out to me to keep calm, as the world around us can seem to explode into chaos.  I found myself being caught up within its chaos, And some of my wisest WP family here were very kind in helping me look from another perspective upon the view I was choosing to see from. And I am never too proud to admit to standing back from myself and viewing myself from a different perspective.

March is the beginning of Spring, where new growth sprouts forth. I feel March is already making me look within and seeing my ‘higherself’  I feel excitement, I know I am growing too, and around my home we have cleared spaces, cleared out items no longer needed… And so as the outer world is de-cluttering so too the inner world de-clutters the debris of held onto emotions…

The ‘Outer and Inner’ Worlds reflect back to us.. Yet so often we do not look in the mirror to see the cause of the problems we create within our ‘Outer World’ often stem from our ‘Inner World’.. It reflects back to personal responsibilities..

Today I revisited an Old Poem.. which speaks about the Moon.. And I wonder how many poems there are about the Moon? And this phase within our present cycle is making us navigate through our hearts wisdom..

March is feeling energising, and I am recharging and trusting again that inner guidance to take me out of my Winter dormant phase.. We are all of us Moving through these cycles. The Moon reminds us we are not alone, for we can amplify things as we move through our personal phases. But each individual change is also connecting us through the global changes we are experiencing..

As Above, So Below..

Love and Blessings..

Wipe away the Dust

Spring heralds in the time we start to feel like cleaning out those cobwebs and opening windows as we join in with Natures Growth of Renewal. Its a time to spring clean and plant seeds, dig the garden, and tidy up those overflowing cupboards.. No? you mean you already did? I bet there is one thing you forgot to Wipe away the dust from …

Your Mind!

Wipe Away the Dust

Wipe away the Dust form the Layers of your Mind

Crawl out from the Darkness, seek the Light and find

Answers to your questions are there for you to see

Look deep within, Begin with ME,

~~

Many times my voice cries out to be heard

Often I hold back, in case I’m thought absurd

But the time now has come to seek answers I need to find

As I wipe away the Dust from the Layers of my Mind

~~

Calling me home the layers begin to peel

Life plays out its dramas, just go with what you feel

To change the thought your thinking, go within and listen well,

Alter the reality in which you dwell

~~

Wipe away the Dust from the Layers of your Mind

Perceive a new Horizon, allow yourself to shine

Blow away the cobwebs of the Web that holds you tight

Look beneath the Darkness, start and shine your Light

~~

Brighten up your thoughts, let go of ‘Woe is ME’

And soon you will see through the veil of reality

The illusion of perception and the Data we receive

Peels back more layers of those who would deceive

~~

So wipe away the Dust from the layers of your Mind

For the TRUTH is out their

And it’s up to YOU to find.

~~

Green Grow your Garden Oh!

Green is a combination of the colours yellow and blue, each of which brings its own unique energy to the overall feeling of the colour green. Garden 1

Blue brings calm and peace, while yellow radiates liveliness and high levels of energy. Like a marriage  between these two very different colours, green is a unifier of opposites, offering both the excitement of yellow and the tranquillity of blue.

It energizes blue’s passivity and soothes yellow’s intensity, inspiring us to be both active and peaceful at the same time. It is a mainstay of the seasons of spring and summer, thus symbolizing birth and growth.

Green is one of the reasons that spring brings so much excitement and activity. As a visual harbinger of the end of winter, green stems and leaves shoot up and out from the dark branches of trees and the muddy ground, letting us know that it’s safe for us to come out too.

My Garden in the past

In this way, green invites us to shed our layers and open ourselves to the outside world, not in a frantic way, but with an easy going excitement that draws us outside just to sniff the spring air. Unlike almost any other colour, green seems to have its own smell, an intoxicating combination of sun and sky—earthy, bright, and clean.  Like new mown Grass..In the best-case scenario, it stops us in our tracks and reminds us to appreciate the great experience of simply being alive

Green balances our energy so that, in looking at it, we feel confident that growth is inevitable. It also gives us the energy to contribute to the process of growth, to nurture ourselves appropriately, without becoming overly attached to our part in the process. Green reminds us to let go and let nature do her work, while at the same time giving us the energy to do our own

May you each continue to Grow as Mother Earth pushes us all up through the layers of negative Dust we have accumulated, to find our own new shoots of Green Growth.

Spring Vortex

Connecting Back to our Earth Mother

Spending time in nature allows us to feel at one with other living beings and to find comfort in the nurturing embrace of our Earth Mother. You can’t help but experience a different sense of self while walking in a wood.

So many of us have waited for Spring, as we have endured either the wettest or coldest winter in a long time.. So when at last the Sun peeps out I am one of the first to head for my favourite walks among the trees.. Just having the Sun revitalise us and enrich our Vitamin D supplies needed for healthy bones makes us feel so much better..

My walk looking out over some of Robin Hood Country

My walk looking out over some of Robin Hood Country. I am standing upon a converted ‘Slag heap’ of waste from a local Coal mine which closed in 2003. This land has now been made into a Nature Reserve.

We spend so much time indoors, focused on the busyness of our lives and disconnected from the earth. But much of what we truly need can only be found  in nature alongside trees or by the sound of running water.  There is so much to be seen.. And it was really good to hear the birds in the tree tops chirping away as they too must have been ready to dry out their feathers.. I saw many busy collecting nesting materials as they began to rebuild their nests..

Being in nature connects us to the earth, grounding us as we walk, unhindered by concrete, upon her. Surrounded by other living beings, both bigger and smaller than we are, we remember that human beings are simply one form of life in this vast universe. The standing ones are now starting to sprout new growth from their long sleep as they wake up revealing their blossoms..

Even if you live in a city or find it difficult to travel to a forest or the countryside, there are many ways to reconnect with nature. When you step out of your door each morning, just pause for a minute and close your eyes long enough to let your senses absorb your surroundings. Listen and breathe deeply, until you hear the wind rustling through branches, smell rain on damp grass, see the sparkle of morning dew, or frost. Enjoy the magical Mist. Take in the sights, sounds, and sensations we experience that are part of nature, which can remind us of all the gifts our Earth Mother brings us each day.

Spending time connecting with nature nourishes the soul, reminding us that you we are never truly alone, and renews us by attuning us back to the earth’s natural rhythm of which all nature is a part..

Enjoy Spring!

As we remember we are One with All of Nature

Blessings ~Sue

The Season Of Choice

I wrote this poem when I was watching the Icy blasts of plummeting temperatures in the USA a few weeks ago, and how the snow storms were affecting everyone over there.. According to the  World Meteorological Organization (WMO), which monitors global weather, the first six weeks of 2014 have seen an unusual number of extremes of heat, cold, and rain—not just in a few regions as might be expected in any winter, but right the way around the world at the same time, with many costly disruptions to power systems, transport and food production… As you all know we expect to have Rain in Britain, but this is the wettest Winter on record  I believe since records began. But the last couple of days we have seen the SUN!

I hope where ever you are you are the weather is improving.

Spring IS on the Way!

This are part of some pre-scheduled Posts  and I will be catching you all up Very Soon ..

Crocuses in Snow

The Season of choice.

Blizzards of snow in Icy blasts

Falls from the sky like shards of glass

Biting your face and taking your breath

Temperatures plummet bringing Icy death

~

Gone is the beauty of softly formed flakes

Drifting and freezing on rivers and lakes

Branches that bend and twigs that do snap

All who go out pull on mittens and hat.

~

But what of the birds? What warmth so they find?

Huddled together in shrub tangled vines

And what about Fox held up in his den

And all our four-legged, what of them?

~

Do you give them a thought? Do you give them a crumb?

Have you spared a thought? For our Animal Kingdom

And what of the homeless who sleep on our streets

Have you thought of their plight as you sleep beneath warm sheets?

~

Winter is harsh as it culls out the weak

And the mist rolls in closer even as I speak

Seasons are our barometers of life

Like the elements of Nature combining love and strife

~

Then there’s the Spring with new growth and birth

As we push on upward seeking self worth

Summer is the garden of beauty and play

As we experience the colour of life every day

~

Autumn are the years we mature and let go

Like the leaves from a tree we float with the flow

Winter can be a lonely place and cold

Holding Seasons memories as we grow old.

~

So whatever the weather of storms in Life

Hold onto your heart the Sun of all light

Fill yourself up with gratitude and love

By loving each other, we shall ascend up above..

Peaceful Beginnings

Having taken time out recently from my Blogging Community I’ve become aware just how many of us are now seeking to alter our own personal space as we ‘Tune in’ once again to our own personal Vibration.

Spring is all about renewal, rebirth and growth and I think many of us are seeing how important it is for us to find Balance in our modern day to day busy life styles.

As I type, the whole world every moment is re-tuning, altering and raising her vibration as evolution takes us on this next phase of our Earthly Journey.  Many of us may feel we are in uncharted waters, each of us waiting in expectation of this next phase of our existence.

My own personal changes have I admit been hard to adjust to. Why? because I’ve always had an active working career while being committed at the same time to my Spiritual work. This year I promised myself to pursue the things I love doing, Painting being one. Slowing down and learning to take things in your stride, you would think easy. But its hard to change the habits of a life time as we learn to say that little word No to others as we learn to please ourselves more.

Spring Vortex Spring Vortex

As our vibrations alter more and more are now recognising the ‘Signs’ which are there for all of us which guide our daily lives. I picked up a spiritual magazine the other day, and as I flicked through the many pages of ways of connecting to your higher/inner-self I smiled as I read the many advertisements to enrol in this course or that. It reminded me I had been on my Spiritual Quest for the best part of 40 years as I pursued this and that as I’d gained my diploma’s in healing and other alternative therapies.  I had read the spiritual books which line my bookshelves, I had done the various meditation techniques, I had done the vegetarian years..

Now it is time to listen to that small voice within. Each of us hold the keys of knowledge, and the higher your vibration rises then more of you will learn to tap into your inner vibration,

The Knowledge is within.

You will learn to discern with your intuition, your feelings,  for you are unique only you can tap into you. You will know when its time to change. What  you may also notice as your vibration alters is that your body may hurt as you adjust to your new found frequency. You may have headaches, Pains in your bones, stomach upsets. Your memory may appear to play tricks on you. You may find the company you keep in your circle of friends start to clash.  You may get the urge to change jobs, careers, location.. You need to know this is the time for regrowth a time for balancing. Shedding past trauma’s, letting Go of old wounds.

When life gets too much,I rebalance by getting out into Nature, or sitting in my own silent space painting or knitting.   We are all to often bombarded with negative energies as the communications systems overload our brains to bursting point with Negative news. Its hard to re-programme your mind which for generations have been influenced by our upbringing and surroundings.

If we look to Nature we see she doesn’t argue or strive to be superior, you will find she thrives by co-existing with her neighbouring species of animal or plant. Just open your eyes and see how everything is interconnected at some level.

We are not separate from Nature, we are part of her, but somehow we’ve come to believe we are superior-knowing better than Mother Nature, thinking we can do a better job. As a consequence we’ve interfered with and upset the Balance of her exquisite creation.

Anyone who lives out in the country knows that when man leaves his scars upon her, deep though they maybe, once man moves on, Nature eventually will reclaim the land back, restoring, reseeding and regenerating. If you look how water flows, you will see it finds its own path, Nature too is finding her path, always evolving, restoring and adapting.

Mankind has lost much of his direction in the pursuit of Material Wealth. We have lost that flow with Nature, we have forgotten how to breathe and adapt. No longer are we at one with our Earth as we think ourselves Separate.

I see many now floundering in this vortex of Greed caught in the material trap. Panic setting in as instinctively people feel those changes now taking place around our world.  Our senses are telling us we have to alter our way of being. We are feeling our Energy Changing, you will start to question and seek out ways and means of reaching a more peaceful state of BEing

By all means go on your Pilgrimages, seek out those sacred sites, read your spiritual books, this is all part of our journey as we raise our vibrations, its called Enlightenment. Its been a huge part of my own path. The higher and faster our vibrations resonate, the Lighter we become as we move away from the denseness of Matter.

But nothing beats the journey than that of Self Discovery as you visit that sacred place within your own soul.

So as Spring is the time we feel energised as we clear out the clutter, do yourselves a favour and clear out some of the debris from your minds and listen to that small voice of silence. Find the time to connect to your own Sacred Space that place which vibrates in harmony within your own being.

Breathe in the energy, become at one with the moment, make this a ritual as you let go of your stresses, go with the flow, let go of your thoughts and find that place inside. And as you learn to let go of your thoughts you will learn to reside in the spaces between them. Listen to the Pin drop, and become the pin.

This is a time where we need to keep Calm and Peaceful, This is the time for Peaceful Beginnings as we let the walls of our Fears fall away.

Learn to connect again to your Inner-self

and learn to love your True Light.

I know I AM

Blessings to you All..

Spring~ Snow~ Outlook~ Happy!

I have to admit, that Spring here in the UK is still far from being sprung. And I also admit to have been feeling the chill of not only the weather but the chill of the collective thoughts out there.

Like the weather I was getting bogged down by the various energies I was  allowing myself to be exposed to… Which reflected in my venting in my last post..  Snow Man

From time to time we all of us need to take time out away from stressful situations. I know speaking to others I have not been on my own in feeling this way. Our state of mind can range from having no recollection of  where we put our car keys, or in my case last week walking all the way to the allotment gate with the key I thought unlocked the gate, to discover it was my patio door key I had in my hand! duh!!, to wondering if we’re seeing things clearly when everyone around us seems to be in denial of what’s going on right in front of their eyes.

Part of my frustration stems from others being so blind to what is happening right in front of them, as they seem oblivious to the workings of this world. This was brought home to be as a nudge from the Universe on The Liberated Way’s post entitled ‘You Are Significant’ I just loved the way he used the dialogue from the film Never-ending Story which again brought home the fact that its the way we each view our world which brings it either into a spring of growth or a long cold winter of despair.. Please go and read his post  HERE  It also brought home to me, that I often think my own small contributions to change is insignificant.. Alex’s post renewed my own faith, that we are all of us Significant Beings, we each just look through our own  windows of perception at life.

For most of us, we just need to step back,  take a deep breath, and regain our composure. Then we can decide what course of action to take.

I read a recent post by my good friend Vision Keeper on her blog       One World Rising  post Beware! Information Overload and I so resonated with it, as I knew that was exactly what I had been exposing myself to. As I got caught up in the drama of the self same tool I tell people to avoid.. The Media!,,

When we feel out of sorts and in that overload kind of crazy mode of mind as confusion often sets in, it often comes as a wake up call that things are out of balance in your world. So taking time out for yourself to regain that balance is all important.

So many of us are looking forward to Spring, when everything starts to renew itself as the buds sprout forth from the hedgerows and trees and the Greenery once again comes to life.

We often look externally from ourselves to find that peace and happy space.. For me I retreated and painted, It worked for I found that balance within as I painted what had been on my mind.. Trees..  Trees are balance, they bring to us our very breath. Take a look here at the symbolism of Dreaming of Trees   I have had the urge to just paint spiritual impressions of trees recently… I was going to share it on this post, But I think I will wait until I paint another tree  first… I Painted this one some time ago which I entitled as above so below.. I intent to portray the seasons with the next four paintings.. So I will wait until I have finished them all before I share them..

Instead of my painting I want to share with you a video.. Its only 2  minutes long.. Enjoy! and Spring is inside everyone of us but that we open our hearts and let it spring forth..

Oh and thank you too for all my new subscribers I just looked at the number and it now stands at 333 Smile another significant number with meaning for me.. Oh isn’t Life Good! Open-mouthed smile

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love...
