Snow is all gone here in AB … my yard is cleaned up … waiting for rain and warmth now … then finally green … sigh … smile … happy spring to you, my lovely friend. Always, cat.
That’s good to know at last Cat.. its been a loooooong Winter for you over there.. The warmth will soon make the new shoots start sprouting and the Green will soon be back for your short Window of Spring Summer.. Love and Blessings dear Cat.. xx
Thank you dear Cat for taking the time to view my home garden photo’s Big smiles now the snow is melted.. Happy Spring also xxx Big Hugs your way xx Sue
Your garden is beautiful! When my ancestors left England around 1530 or so they left the Green Thumb gene behind. None of us since my Grandmother has had a lovely garden. 🙂
Must be lovely to have traced your ancestors green thumb back to 1530 in England.. 🙂 and a shame it didn’t come along within the generations to follow.. But it is never too late to start.. and your love of nature is obvious.. A garden can be started within a pot plant or two 🙂 and I am sure you could create your own green thumb 😉 Lovely to have you visit today.. Have a wonderful week 🙂 Sue
It’s my Mom and Sister that have the Genealogy Bug and have been tracing family roots for decades.
I’m not very attentive and tend to forget about water and feeding the pots and plants I do have. Flowers, and plants have to be pretty darn hardy, and thrive on neglect to survive my yard. I have always admired a great garden though.
Arrgh well, at least you can pick plant that like lots of sun and do not mind going without water for a while.. 🙂 Cacti have wonderful flowers and I have several on my window sills indoors and they love being neglected LOL :-).. Have a great week.. xx
What a lovely, peaceful place this is. You have done a wonderful job of creating a sanctuary. Well done, Sue! That is a space I would fall in love with.
I needed to revisit this as the grey descends upon us here in the Pacific Northwest. In these parts we call it the Big Dark, referring to the four months of very short daylight and seemingly constant gloom skies. Thank you for a touch of color on this November morning.
Its that dark outside today Bill that I have got our indoor lights on.. The rain is coming down like sheets, so I understand those dark dreary days that are short of daylight… I am happy you landed upon this ‘Touch of Colour’ my friend and I hope it brought a little brightness to your day. Revisiting this post myself today as floods ravage many parts here in the midlands and snow now is falling upon the hills in Wales and Scotland, I too needed the memories of these flowers..
Take care my friend and thank you for browsing among my garden.. 🙂
I wanted to brighten the day so I came here to soak in the beauty of your garden Sue. I can feel the love ( and hard work ) that went here! So lovely 🌺🌷🌹
Same here Sue. I’ve never seen so many blooms at once here. My gardenia’s which have been so stingy with just a couple of flowers are so full of blooms they are hanging to the ground ! It is beautiful isn’t it?😍🌷
