The Paintings I did on top of my Drum
Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker

LOL, Yes indeed love those sweets, esp., baked. I never heard of or saw a Rhubarb ’til I was in my thirties, volunteering on a small farm in the mountains. I’m from the ‘south’ in the US, and I don’t think we did Rhubarb. Lots of other veggies though.

Yes I will take a look at those next 🙂
I think that I have solved the profile pic
scenario (For Now Anyway 🙂 lol)
Like a wally I had added some of my profile
pictures as the rating ‘R’ and as that is for an
Adult audience it will not show on lots of sites…
I click the ‘R’ rating when my Space is not on
the Private setting as I wouldn’t want anyone
under eighteen to be looking at the nudity, or
indeed some of my horror scripts, not that any
are gruesome enough to scare anyone, but it
is just to prevent any sensitive peeps from the
shock… sort of thing…
Okay slice me a big piece of carrot cake,
I am hungry for it, hey the cake cheeky 🙂 😉

I have bay leaves in my kitchen for the first time. They grow them at the Botanical Gardens. Boy do they have a lot of leaves! They are pretty dried and in vases, but I haven’t learned to cook with them yet. And, I really don’t know what pickling onions are. Will have to check that out. Awesome recipes 🙂

Honestly, I never ate too many pickled things. My dad used to eat pickled pig’s feet. Yuk. But, since the Alchemist has been talking about how good these foods (not pig’s feet but veggies) are for us, my curiosity is peeking. I look forward to trying some 🙂 Hugs, xoxo

I love the roasted red cabbage recipe and will give it a try. You also grow your own cabbage Sue which even tastes much better of course.
I usally steam cabbage by only adding oil in a pot, just a few table spoonfuls and covering it with grease paper before putting on the lid. Do have to stir it every few minutes while on low heat. Add salt and pepper and also very nice way to eat.

Good Monday to you Sue, Seems I can always find a bit of time on this day. I don’t think I like Mondays, not really. So, I find photos or visit your blog. Is much better than doing chores or running errands.
I’m going to cook some ‘red cabbage’ this week. I didn’t cook much, if at all, while my son was away, but ate a good home-cooked meal last night (that he cooked). Boy was it a good!
I have lots to do this week, but hope I can write a little and share some photos. We’ll see. We went to the botanical gardens yesterday and they were having a private event. (We only got in b/c we’re volunteers and needed to water the gardens for the Horticulture Therapy group). Many little five and six year old folks dressed up in black and white and played their violins. A private little concert for their families! I played with my camera in the herb gardens using colorful backdrops so that only the plant shows up in the image. Was fun and have a nice photo of an old time Rose bush.
Hoping your week goes well 🙂 and that you don’t mind my Monday morning chatter here on your Healing page. It’s a very nice place to visit. I like the way it feels here.
Peace and Good Wishes,
Michelle.

Hope you enjoy your own red cabbage Michelle,, And glad you ate.. You dont eat enough me thinks!!!!! so happy that your Son cooked you a lovely meal… Hugs to you my friend and anytime you want a Monday or any other day of a week chat feel free.. xxxx Love Sue xx

Unfortunately Michelle the strawberries and the raspberries haven’t faired so well.. Many rotted due to the constant rain storms.. so, we have only had around Half a pound in weight.. I was so disappointed after all my efforts… But we are not on our own.. as waterlogged and flooding has affected many places in the UK.. Love to you xx

Yes the weather is much improved and its not all bad, we lost the soft fruit and some crops like parsnips, carrots, and swedes had to be dug over as they were drowned and the seeds didnt set.. Lucky though my Hubby set some carrots in a raised bed, these are doing fine.
We have been weeding this morning, and even after all the rain had to water the beans etc as the wind has soon dried things out.
Our seasons are too short here, we only get one stab at it, as the Frosts get everything later on..

HI, Sue; I finally made some time to read through this. Yum looking recipes! I used to make gingerbread cake as one of my Christmas items; we all loved it. I kept the boys away from sugar for the most part, but at Christmas we had all the baking one could want. I’ll have to try your Red Cabbage dish; I love all that family. I won’t be cooking really until I have my own place, so likely in 2019 sometime. But I know where to find you! 🙂 Thanks for sharing all these, by the way. I have some idea how busy you are.
