Sometimes there comes a time to take some time out, and re-connect back to the things which bring that wholeness of being.. Time is passing us all by ever quicker. And I have a very busy month work-wise coming up in February. So if I do not get chance to drop by, you will know why..
Those whose energies I have connected with, I know will still be here upon my return.. I have a few scheduled posts, in the works, so if I am late moderating or getting around to view your posts, please understand that sometimes we need Time out for Silence… I wrote this poem last year and will share it again for those who missed it..
Silence booms in an explosion of sound
Splintering static high pitched and loud
Morse Coded downloads in intermittent bursts
The Cosmos is talking-Do you hear its verse?
I escape to the mountains and I run to the sea
But its chatter surrounds me as I long to be free
I hear cries of children, laments from the old
Each on a journey their stories to be told
The Elephants and Dolphin their cries go unheard
Yet I hear their low rumbles and clicks how absurd
Each voice in the matrix-every thought in the mix
A Planet in Crisis- will it ever be fixed?
So I turn down the volume as I shut the outer door
As I meditate inward finding higher-self law
Here I seek Peace in the stillness I find
The Key to the Cosmos we turn in the mind
All things are great and all things are small
The Mind gives them power and shall overcome all
The Universal Plan- I am part and unique
Each one is searching to fit the pieces they seek
And the answer is simple- but we make is so hard
With the choices we choose as we shuffle life’s cards
It seems we chose greed, possession is King
Forgetting how to love our fellow Human Being
But it’s never too late for we each have a heart
To alter our ways – To care is a start
So clear out your Anger, your hatred and greed
Listen to your heartbeat –Start sewing Love Seeds
See you ALL Very Soon!

I too have an urgent need for something at least resembling silence just now! It’s not likely to happen but a good night’s sleep consisting of a few more than 3 hrs long would do nicely to be going on with! It’s difficult sometimes to take time out for yourself away from the demands of others without feeling terribly selfish and guilty. They usually think so too which doesn’t help much! But we all need time out just to do our thing, whatever that maybe…I’ve been working on that recently…trying to understand where the frustration and resentment was coming from, because it’s always the wrong people you get mad at when the source is often entirely different. It’s amazing how you can turn yourself into a slave of almost anything you choose, then blame the world in general for that status and yet find it so complicated to re-discover the mostly very simple and blazingly obvious reason, and therefore the solution for and to it all! I’d just started to take back control then wham bang! Off we go again on the same old merry go round as yet another person or circumstance is allowed to become our master! Seems to be an endless cycle of pulling self up mentally and reminding/giving self permission to step away and do your own thing sometimes and that’s it’s ok to do so…no need to feel bad or guilty…and then straight back into old ways again till next time! Soooo annoying lol… and draining!! 😉
And I particularly liked this verse of your poem…
“Silence booms in an explosion of sound
Splintering static high pitched and loud
Morse Coded downloads in intermittent bursts
The Cosmos is talking-Do you hear its verse?”
Wolfie hugs 🙂 xx

As wonderful as it is it can become like an addiction.
It needs to be balanced or it takes over our life.
I realised I was leaving no time for some very important things, as I explained in my last post.
Sue we must enjoy this life we are blessed with and use it wisely.

Hello dear Sue…
Such a thoughtful post… You are right silence is essential.. We must rest in silence if we really want to listen to our inner voice. Also it leads to a deeper connection wit reality and moreover, with Nature.
I love the idea that you have highlighted above, meaning that the key of the cosmos will turn in our minds as we meditate.
Once again I agree with your holistic perspective when you say: All things are great and all things are small.
At the need as you have said we are all connected and maybe also “puzzled” as we are pieces of the Universal secret Plan..
I h ope you have a groovy day & weekend ahead, xo Aquileana 🙂

Beautiful poetry.
Back in 1966, my wise old grandmother taught me the secret to never really needing a time for silence. She taught me the value of scheduling each and every day, and scheduling personal time off for each and every day. That, of course, is the time for silence, and as long as I following my daily schedule, I get time off for silence each and every day, which is how I have avoided the burnout syndrome that has afflicted so many of my friends throughout the years.

It’s extremely important to find silence once and a while. It’s one of the reasons that when the electricity goes out during a storm or something, I actually get excited and enjoy the quiet time, while everybody else is freaking out about how they can’t get on their Facebook because the cell phone towers lost power. It’s absolutely crazy just how much noise EVERYTHING produces, even the transformers outside on the power poles and their hum. You don’t even realize it’s there until it’s not, and you realize just how much noise we put up with all day every day. It’s like when you visit Mammoth Cave here in Kentucky. In one of the tours they take you down into a relatively deep part of the cave, and then they shut off all the lights for about 10 seconds. All your life you “think” you know what darkness is, but when you’re several hundred feet underground in a cave and they turn off all the lights, you really realize what “real” darkness is. Likewise when the electricity goes off, you really realize what “real” silence is.
Even out in the woods it’s not uncommon to hear a plane flying overhead from time to time, or somebody’s dog way out in the distance, or the echo of an ambulance going through the cut-through several miles away. Silence is something I think we need as a species, just some quiet time with no distractions to reflect on, well to quote a book, life, the universe, and everything. The problem is that we’re running out of places on this planet where there isn’t some kind of man-made noise.

Dear Lois,
I have missed our interactions upon our posts, and today I am feeling much brighter .. The time out has done me good.. and I will be sure to pace myself in future.. I confess to have taken too many shifts when things were really not very pleasant with the challenging behaviours encountered in them.. That along with seeing World events got to me.. And I was not feeling 100% well in myself either, so everything became too much.. Luckily I saw the ‘Signs’ as I was getting emotional.. The Time out for reflection and ME time has helped tremendously… And its another Lesson well learned upon my road, that I too still need to nurture Me…
Thank you Lois for your concern and friendship.. I so appreciate you being there .. xxx Hugs Sue
