Friday Facts ~ What has happened to our Hearts?

Scrap Metal Cars

Do we really understand the fragility of Life?

Have we ever thought of consequence and all the Strife?

So we can run around in cars and have our pretty things

Have you ever thought of all the pain we Human’s bring?

dozer-deforestation

Have you ever thought just what it’s like to have your home bulldozed

And have you thought how hard it is to find enough to eat

When driven from your home

Chimpanzee

To Walk for miles to find a drop of water

And then to find you face a gun and you come up for slaughter

Have you ever considered just how you’d feel if orphaned you were left

As your mother became a trophy with her skin stripped from her chest?

Did you never spare a thought for the Ocean and her depths?

A dumping ground for all our waste no longer we respect,

It’s time to understand that we cannot turn away

For we are each responsible for the world we live todayoverpopulation-scales

We humans have tipped the scales as we destroy with tools of greed

It’s time to re-awake and replant a caring seed

We all have to try and make a difference.

Lives are short, so people don’t bother over the consequences of their actions – but our world needs to be kept in a better state for future generations! 😦

Love and hugs always Sue! 🙂

We can all make a difference through one person at a time. A smile, a kind word or a helping hand. All we have to do is open our heart up to others needs.
    Love to you, Sue!

Aww Sue…this made me feel so sad, especially the words and the pictures of the little chimpanzee and the tiger pelts 😦

I was reading a book and to come into our power and to own it as Divine magnificent beings that we are, it comes with responsibility. The responsibility to wield that power for goodness, to wield that power with grace and compassion to not only the others but also to all creatures, both great and small. Each time we fail to do so then we are given another chance to come back and redo it.
Also…when we treat every thing with love and care, then every thing works to treat us with love and care…we are indeed responsible for every thing in our lives…there will come a time when we just won’t be able to play the victim…because it won’t be bought .

Have a wonderful and beautiful weekend Sue!!

That sounds to be one wise author of that book, and yes so very true ever action has a reaction!… and a consequence … I try not to kill anything, and even the insects now-a-days I get dismayed if I inadvertently kill one.. I keep the thought I can not save everyone or everything in my mind… because not everyone is here to be saved… But we are each responsible for our actions and you are so right with your last sentence…

there will come a time when we just won’t be able to play the victim…because it won’t be bought

      Love and Light Shree…. ~Sue

Oh Sue, your words and images. What are we to do! Mankind capable of so much greed and shortsightedness. But also capable of so much poetry and beauty. We are a very strange species. Thank goodness for dogs. To remind us of the continual need for unconditional love.

Excellent, Sue. So well written, so well said.

Also, I didn’t tell you – I really appreciated this video. My gosh that guy is shining, hey 🙂 His spirit is so shining.

I couldn’t help wondering though ‘how does he make his money?’ ‘how does he pay rent at night?’ I mean I DO DO DO understand we’re all sucked in on this treadmill, but you DO have to sustain yourself.

I’ve got a little bit of work, nothing permanent. Only one day of work this week. Has me feel concern and desperation about how I will afford the next rent and so on, you know.

    Anyway, blessings, Sue 🙂

    Hi Sue,

Loved reading this post. Indeed, what has happened to our hearts? As I think of this question, the following comes to my mind.

We have allowed our hearts to become hostage to selfishness and exploitation of fellow humans. But is this new? Not at all for as we think of it, has the world not been witness to such exploitation and immoral actions in the name of commercial and business growth and expediency? History shows that this has been happening for millennia and in fact picked up pace after the industrial revolution. And has manifested in unusual ways ranging from slavery, colonization, wars and overthrow of elected Governments.

The questions that brooks answers are:

How could we link commerce to activities based on values, fair-play and human dignity?
How could we bring in transparency into our production and supply chains so that each stage could stand scrutiny?

“We have allowed our hearts to become hostage to selfishness and exploitation of fellow humans. ” I couldn’t agree with you more Shakti,
Yes we perhaps forget all those things as you have mentioned such as ” the industrial revolution. And has manifested in unusual ways ranging from slavery, colonization, wars and overthrow of elected Governments.”

We live in a world of Competition instead of Co-operating with each other… We Compete instead we should perhaps learn ways in which instead of tying to be top-dog, we can find ways of co-operating by helping solve our various problems…
Transparency means revealing just how much we rob each other! especially in business deals and how Fuel prices are pumped up in cartel’s to keep them high…

I would just Love that we could have that transparency and fair-play…. but for some the rules of fair-play and integrity are low on their lists when Profits are top of their agenda …

But I live in the hopes that at some point in our distant future we could learn to Share.. and Care……
      Blessings Sue

Hi Sue, your blog is frighteningly alive, when we contemplate all that mankind does harming our world, its magnitude when multiplied globally is catastrophic.
There are those who are aware of our actions and are making an effort to highlight and overcome the problems to some extent, makes you wonder if we are too late.

Yes, I know Ian, for some in some places it may seem as if it is too late… But I am the ever optimist who hopes Man-kind will wake up to his actions as he learns the answers to his problems do not come from gathering to him all that he desires by trampling over others. As I hope once again he see’s that when we live with open hearts we have all we could ever need… Call me naive, but deep down I believe we one day will all need to face ourselves and the only battle that needs to be won is with oneself! 🙂
Thank you my good friend, lovely to see you here, and give my love back to Ana, I am pleased she enjoyed her trip back home and Well wishes are sent back in return…. 🙂

If we connect with one thing, nature, then all the above troubles would slowly evaporate like the morning mist.

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
