What Perceptions Do We Have of Ourselves and Others?

The Needles Isle of Wight

The Needles Isle of Wight

Coming back from our vacation takes time to settle back in, being waited on and being chauffeured around beautiful sights, over indulging on beautiful food all of it spoils you.  Then you arrive home put everything in the washer, catch up with the garden, and its like you have never been away, and two days later, you feel like you need another holiday to get over the first.

Except you return home holding those wonderful memories of the peace and the beauty of your surroundings, as well as the companionship of those new acquaintances you have met for such a short time whom you will never see again. But for that short time their energy and humour enriched your own experience and you hope your own company enriched theirs.

You get back into your routines and before long our vacations become a distant memory with photos stored in folders soon to be forgotten.

It got me to thinking. What if this was the last vacation ever, what if this week was the last week ever in this reality, how would you spend it? Would you be more adventurous, dare to do things a little differently? Would you laugh more and tell those that surround you how much they mean to you. Would you stand up and be more assertive, would you find your voice to speak your mind?  Would you be kinder and more Giving? Or would nothing change, as we sit within the protective layers we build up around ourselves.

The Walled Garden at Osborne House

We spend so much of our time in fear, fearing how we look as we fuss over our hair, fearing what other people may think of us, fearing what if this or what if that. It often stops us from enjoying the moment. It often stops us from being spontaneous, and joyful. Doing things like getting up on an empty dance floor when your feet tap along and are itching to dance to the rhythm of the music, yet you are afraid you may look a fool.

Osborne House Queen Victoria’s Holiday retreat

We’ve all been there I am sure, pointing our fingers, sniggering at someone’s moves or how they are dressed.  It’s so easy to judge, and we ALL of us do it all of the time in small ways, we often aren’t even aware we are doing it.

We met a man in his mid-forties travelling with his aged mother for the briefest of conversations, he and his mother were staying at the same hotel. He had obvious learning difficulties, yet the joy he brought to everyone in his presence was obvious, and what a gift for all who received his spontaneity.

Working as a support worker for nearly 12 years with such people within mental health I saw how his mother had not mollycoddled him through life, but how she had taught him to find his own personality and independence. He would go to the bar, buying drinks, he would often sit by himself while his mother had retired for the evening, but it wasn’t long before others gravitated towards him and he would join in perfectly intelligent conversations. And all the while his smile was infectious, as was his laughter.  His JOY in life spread out and made all who met him joyful as well.  What a Gift!.

Young Queen Victoria

We need no status, no title in life to be great. This man lived in each of his moments, he paid perfect attention to those in conversation, his eyes shone with his inner beauty and by the end of our trip he had made many new friends, whose lives I am sure will be forever touched by his presence.

Observing others is something I often do, sitting in my own quiet space I see perhaps deeper than many into the hearts of strangers. I had been asking my own internal inner questioning as I sought to regain my own inner balance from the things I know are to come in this world.

And upon my returning to the world at large, it seems the plan is now well under way that is going to shape All of our lives in the future.

The Starting Guns at Cowes for the sail boat races.

But sometimes our answers come in the strangest of ways, I got my answer. I cannot, we cannot change others and certainly not the world.  The only person we can change is ourselves.  We can change our own perceptions of reality; we can look for the good in others and not focus upon the bad. We can see the beauty of the world and focus in on that. That man saw beauty in everything around him, and he became that beauty. He shone so bright with his inner beauty.

If we only touch One other with Joy to uplift their spirit, for them to see the beauty within themselves our mission may already be completed.  But neither can we turn a blind eye to the evil in this world or the destruction of our Earth Mother.

There is a time to speak and a time when we should be silent. There is also a time when we don’t have to hold back, a time for everyone to speak out, and not be afraid of speaking out.  We are living in times when those of us who are seekers of the truth are being silenced.  You have to ask yourself why?

Why be afraid of Truth?  Unless you have been led to believe a Lie!!

Casper the White Lion. Tigers too are rescued from circus’s at Isle of Wight Zoo

We who have been caged within this Matrix system too long are now waking up to this reality. And the gift we all need to be sharing is that of Love, Unity and Harmony.

We are responsible for ourselves and we have to share our creative passionate energy by first going deep within ourselves as we sort out the wheat and the chaff within our own lives before we condemn others.

I am far from perfect and still need to do much more internal work. But I am getting there, I am now comfortable within my own skin, but we have to put the work in, it may take years to clear away the hidden layers we build up throughout our lives.

Creation has given birth to us because we are a living essential part of creation, with a responsibility to ourselves as well as others.

Use your own Gifts and Wisdom wisely as we perceive and create our future reality.

Keep Walking your Path and Seeking Your Truth.

Love and Blessings.

Thank you Ben, I thank you for your link, and agree with the article, its time to transcend ‘duality’ of the system. And many are waking up to the games being played.. And who are playing them.. 🙂 Hope you are well my friend and thank you again for the time reading and the link

Thank you so much for visiting JanBeek and leaving your “like” as a calling card so I could find your beautiful blog. I can tell we are kindred spirits. I really related to your words about “fearing what if this or what if that.” When our kids were growing up, we often tried to teach them to eliminate as many “what if’s” as they could each day. I agree with you that “It [the what ifs] often stops us from enjoying the moment. It often stops us from being spontaneous, and joyful.” Carpe’ Diem!! Oh, and by the way, I love your little mini-slide-shows. Thank you for taking us vicariously to your various vacation spots. Beautiful!!

What a beautiful holiday you have had. Yes, we do impact each other. Sometimes we find out afterward with kind words or not at all as we don’t see these people again as you have stated. I worked with an agency that dealt with people living with life-threatening and terminal illnesses. For the most part, it was a stressful and challenging position. When they eliminated my position due to government cutbacks. People came out of the woodwork paying me compliments. I was touched. I wondered why they didn’t say anything beforehand and waited until I was leaving. Fear is as well as stress debilitating in life and the what if’s are not born yet so why entertain them and the judgemental attitude we all carry them. It is to become aware and not verbalize them as once it passes your lips they say it is manifest. Like what is in your article if we see the beauty in others we will see the beauty in us as well. I loved this post Sue. But sometimes our answers come in the strangest of ways—-These I call Spirit Validations. Be well and Hope you are having a great sunny day. ❤

So many parallels Joseph.. Our ‘Team’ of support workers were also disbanded due to Local authority austerity measures, I hope Spirit keeps validating Joseph on both sides of the pond 😀 I thank you for your compliments my friend.. As for the Sunny day, its hiding behind clouds that promise rain, only to blow over and only give a few drops.. We could do with rain for the garden, While I know in many parts of the USA and other parts of the world they are experiencing tremendous flooding..
We had our floods in the UK a couple of years ago, so did Europe.. I don’t think many parts have escaped this cleansing!
Enjoy your own day my friend. Take care 💜

sounds like a wonderful vacation my Friend 🙂
i dream of one, heck i will settle for a day off all to myself by myself… 🙂
i love the thoughts you shared… i have been thinking along those lines these days
    of pause…

i was actually writing when i heard a whisper on that wind we have been in company with these days, a hummingbird was at the front door and she made me think of you and there you were 🙂 if you saw my hair you would know i spend no time on it lols… its long wild and mostly gray/white, and thats okay, i like just being me…
“that quiet voice inside the heart
that works to heal the broken parts
    reaches up from the soul
with a calm rhythm taking control
the spirit reacts… not the mind
a source that whispers…leave it all behind”
i had just written this…not sure if goes any further , but your thoughts made me want to share with you…

i have missed our long chats, and your smile as you hear between the words…we need a catch up day 🙂
know you are thought of and loved way over here in Texas,
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods….
    Take Care My Faraway Sister….
    You Matter much…

I promise to touch base with you later in the week when things get a little quieter and I have more time . I am not spending much time on the internet these days, My knitting needles are working frantically and when the Sun shines I sit on the swing, and just BE.. watching birds feeding their young .. So wish we had humming birds .. Such beautiful fast little things ..
Sending continued thoughts of love and well wishes Mary.. And I am so happy to be in your thoughts.. We will have to rekindle our conversations of Whispers on the Wind.. ❤

Wow, that was some holiday young lady 😀
To touch, to feel, to understand is our journey, and as you have said we are all in our different stages. But the important one is ‘ours’, to find that inner light that all of this down here is for.
Your understanding is truly begun to ‘settle’ in that beating heart, the one that you will now guide others with as you ‘see’ what it all truly means.
Just as that man is doing, just by being himself.
Fly dear lady, enjoy what your heart has found, it no longer matters ‘when’ we let go as it is but a twinkle in life but a forever in understanding that love ❤

It was Mark, we travelled all around the Island, and to be honest didn’t want to go to the Zoo, I believe animals should be free, but when I heard they rescued Tigers etc and they had a white Lion I had to see.. The Zoo itself is pretty run down and I would say struggling, relying on volunteers.. So loved Shanklin village with the thatched cottages.. and the fresh water Chine running through it. Such an unexpected find on the walk map of the village, and so pleased we detoured to see it.
Many thanks for your lovely compliments Mark, means a lot, and I keep trying to flap those wings 😉 lol, ready for eventual lift off!!.. 🙂
Sending lots of hugs right back 🙂

I could not agree with you more DW…Everything you spoke about rings truth. I just had a visit from my son and we went round and round about certain issues and I could see the brainwashing speaking for him and it was so disturbing. It is so important to get out from under this blanket of propaganda and think for ourselves and discover ourselves while we still can.
So glad you got away and had a great time. I can relate to where you are at upon returning though. Tough! Keep those happy memories and beautiful images in your mind and heart and block out the insanity. Your photos were gorgeous and I know you had a wonderful time. I can feel it! Welcome back my friend and breathe deep.At least you no longer have Theresa May !!!! Yay! May Brexit blossom…Hugs to you my friend. Much love your way…VK ❤

As for politics, a Big shake up is needed all the way around, it needs to shake them up to see politicians are put there to serve the people not themselves.. Sadly however their culture is such that I am sure they start out with well meaning intentions to put the world to rights, but then get drawn into the ‘system that controls the system’ and dictates, and also brainwashes into the indoctrinated system it is..
Many thanks for your lovely comment my friend.. I will speak soon my friend ❤ HUGS ❤

Fear often keeps us from doing things. But experience often builds up the fears that are hard to shake. But are a safety precaution sometimes as well. So which fears we have to overcome?
    Good post. Keeps me thinking.

Thank you Rabirius for that insight.. I agree to which we need to overcome.. So many little things we are often unconscious of we need to let go. The big fears I am fearing less and less..
We are Eternal Beings of Light, here for just a blink of an eye in the scheme of Eternal! and for the experience.. When we truly grasp that we have two choices.. Love or Fear.. I choose LOVE.. ❤ So pleased you enjoyed my thoughts and photos my friend.. Take care 🙂

To learn you can change only yourself is when one realizes a lot of things about their self. I have known this for a long time. I also know I cannot change the world, but I can be kind and compassionate to others. We should be more involved in each day of our lives as if it was our last day. I have tried harder these last few years to show those I love and encounter how much they mean to me. I often act silly, because it makes me happy and I truly try to let others see the real me with no pretenses. So Sue my long time blogging friend I have always loved your blogs. I think of you often when I read that you are having a hard time and my heart aches for you as tears enter my eyes. We have a disable man at church who cheers everyone around him. I interact with him and he smiles and chatters. We brighten each other’s day. This is a magnificent post Sue and thank you for every word you wrote. Love you xoxoxo

Its hard at times and so I needed another reminder to show me we are all working in small ways to bring love and light into the world ..
Thank you so much for your compliments of my blog posts, Big smiles.. And yes, such gifted individuals who we may term as disable are in essence ‘Able’ to change others simply by their presence.. Such a gift they bring the rest of us.. 🙂

Cheers to your wonderful holiday! I still have many places to visit, so I hope I have enough time.

I’ve always believed that part of being human is are tendency to focus on the negative. Not sure why that is – maybe we want perfection for ourselves. Of course I also realize we are also naturally selfish beings. Hence the challenge – focusing on the positive and others. One would think that would be easy for social creatures who want positive interactions with others. Oh no – our selfishness gets in the way.

Like wise Frank I have many ticks on my Bucket List to fill, 🙂 I agree our make up is focused in on the negative more times than not. It takes effort and a realisation that one is doing it. Breaking the habit takes time,.. We also live in a world of duality, Where one can not exist without the other.. Such is our experience.. We have to remember its all about Choice!… And Balancing the two.. 🙂 Sometimes we have to be a little selfish and at other times we have to care and be of service to others.. When we live in balance I find we discover more harmony and peace..
Many thanks Frank… I look forward to my catch up with you too 🙂

A sweet entry indeed, my friend! It sounds like you had a lovely vacation. And my thoughts echo yours: tomorrow’s blog post is about my perceptions and insights from being away. I went right back to work on Friday, and built a website for a friend on Saturday, and worked some today. It was like I hadn’t been gone and then…I went to do an afternoon meditation and nearly 3 hours later, I emerged after having taken a nearly 2.5 hour nap! I think I needed to recover from all the driving, and then jumping back into the daily grind. Hehe.
I have resolved since my return to really focus on kundalini meditation. I have no idea where it will take me, and I’m careful with my expectations, but I also want to see if I can awaken my pineal gland. I am so into the Dispenza meditations at the moment. I just found a bunch of videos he’s done on YouTube. (And, incidentally, makes me wonder how I can really do any innovative teaching when it comes to meditation, but well, I also know that we all have our own purpose.)
I love how you said that we each can focus on the good in each other and the beauty in the world. I am watching the news less and less and allowing myself more time away from screens. I am in a happier state of mind because of it. I am now thinking that a lot of our divisions and difficulties we face in today’s world are exacerbated by our modern “toys.” They are at once incredible in how they’ve let people like you and me connect, or in how they’ve allowed me to find so much information about spirituality and meditation. Conversely, they are a driver of division when left unchecked. Of unhappiness.
And this is why it’s so important, as you have demonstrated and I have witnessed in my own life those beautiful, if not punctuated, moments away from modernity. Where I immediately gain insights and feel more connected to myself and to the environment around me.
Happy Sunday, sweet friend! Sending you big hugs and lots of love!

Oh wow.. I love it when our thoughts are in sync , I will look forward to catching up with your post.. Joe Dispenza is very inspiring I follow his YouTube channel and the testimonials that are given from following his course and meditation with in the quantum field to self heal is AMAZING.
The news is a source of negative fear control.. it constantly bombards are energy fields.. When we go on holiday and let go of everything, reconnecting either with nature in woods or on sandy beaches, we allow our energy to start regaining its balance, and why its so cleansing and energising. Within a few short days we feel so much lighter and freer and more at peace..
Then we jump right back in and swamp our energy again into overload as we catch up..

It is important to pace ourselves.. A time to Work and Time to rest and a time to just BE… where you nurture yourself..
I have no doubts your pineal glad will function beautifully especially if you are working on your kundalini meditations..
Speaking of ZingDad as we did the other day, before my holiday I joined Mays meditations on his site.. I have a back log yet to access.. and only opened the first one as yet.. I am hoping they do not disappear until I view them, as they are not made to be viewed by the public..
Your own meditations I love, you have a very soothing voice which I find very helpful in slowing our awareness back into self..
We have our granddaughter this evening and tomorrow, so I will be catching up with you as soon as I can..
Much love and enjoy your week Cynthia.. ❤

I loved getting a glimpse of your ” holiday” . We call it vacation in the US. I agree that if we don’t really take in our moments that just get packed away in a drawer somewhere. Was this Scotland again or somewhere else? aThe village looks magical to me! I am glad you got some time away and now Ms. May will also have some free time. Hope you are at peace with whatever arises.

    love, Linda

Thank you Linda.. No this time we went South instead of North.. The Isle of Wight is that small island between England and France.. As to politics yes it is needing a good shake up and seems to be getting it.. Though I doubt any time soon anything will change.. 🙂
Much love your way and thank you again, so pleased you enjoyed ❤

What a Wonderful Emotive post Sue, and the Beautiful photographs brought back such Happy memories. We spent our Honeymoon on the Isle of White because when I was 14 yrs old I spent 6 weeks summer holidays there with my Aunt, Uncle & cousin, who was 13 yrs old. My Gentle Uncle was a warden in Parkhurst prison. I had a wonderful time with my Aunt & Cousin seeing all the sites on your photographs. My very daring Auntie lied about our ages and got us all a job in a cafe for Cowes week… I was behind the counter taking the money and making mike-shakes, while my Auntie & Cousin waited on tables. I can’t believe I did it because I was excruciatingly SHY inside my exterior…although I used to blush profusely which must have been a give away. Peter Scot and other famous people were customers and for the first time I earned wages which I was Delighted to take home to my Lovely Selfless Mum… Emotional Memories now because my Maternal Grandma died when I was there and my Uncle looked after us while my Aunt went home to her Family for a few days….. XXX
What I am acutely aware of…those days Adults never burdened the Children with anything…I think that’s why Life seemed a Mystery and Bewildering. XXX

Sue, I just wanted to add…Lately there has been a run of 80th. Birthday party Celebrations among my long-term Friends in our Neighbourhood…All full of Fun-Times, Music & Dancing. We tend to be up for any excuse for a party and all us girls have many General Get-Togethers. (I haven’t confided in them yet, but the time is drawing nearer to do so)
Saturday we went to a 60th. Wedding Anniversary House-Party, and Oh-boy! did we have a Great Time. The Atmosphere was filled with our Era’s songs that we sang with Gusto as many of us attempted to dance(jig along) to the music, even the Hostess who was Married at 19 and has been confined to a wheelchair through Spine & Bone Cancer, since she was 30, and Her Wonderful Husband who Both were the Life & Soul of their Party arranged by their Two Wonderful Girls and their Families.
There was that much food left that Her Husband rang up a LOCAL CHARITY to see if they wanted it and sent it by taxi…XXX

Yes, we are seeing a rise in flooding around the world in just a few years. We have wind storms more than ever here. We were stranded on the mountain for s couple of days due to trees falling on the hydro wires and another couple of days in restoring power after the trees were removed. Gaia is a living organism and she is trying to regulate herself to a condition of survival.l. I am calm with it all. I know I will be taken care of. Hope today you get the rain you need and a well deserved break from the garden.

This whole post is filled with joy. Sounds like a wonderful vacation, Sue. I can so relate to how perception is everything. I spent most of my life severely depressed, cynical, hating people. My shift came out of the blue, I guess you could call it a mystical experience, though that seems pretentious. Literally within seconds my whole view of humanity changed. It was terrifying and breathtakingly beautiful. Things have never been the same. No more cynicism, depression, anxiety, and while I don’t love everyone (I don’t think we’re obligated to) I only see beauty in most people. Such a gift. Much love to you💜

So wonderful to know Julie that your own shift out of depression came swiftly … I understand the depths of depression and you can not explain to anyone the depths it takes you down to. So your own ‘mystical’ experience of coming up through it is remarkable.. And to see the beauty in others, what a bonus!!…

Love this and too true: “Then you arrive home put everything in the washer, catch up with the garden, and its like you have never been away, and two days later, you feel like you need another holiday to get over the first.”

        You make valid points.

There seems to be a struggle in how many of the human population is trying to save earth herself and let’s not forget those anti-climate change people who don’t believe…they will lose out in the end and feel earths rage when things start to crumble for them last minute. Karma is only a matter of time.

You Know Lorrie, I am sure that each encounter we have is perfectly timed, each person we meet and greet be it friend or foe is all part of a bigger plan.
Learning to see what we can learn from such encounters is what is inspiring.
Each one I think takes us a little bit closer to show us our hearts, be it through our caring and compassion or lessons that teach us not to judge.. The choice is given all of us, and its up to each to either embrace love and joy, or reject it holding onto the shadows and bitterness within..
The duality of our existence shows us its all about choice.. as to which side of the coin we embrace..
There are no right or wrong roads, just endless opportunities to grow.. and its up to each of us how we choose our growth, be it easy or hard..
Even the hard routes lead home eventually.. ❤

LOVE and Hugs my friend and thank you Lorrie ❤

Love this post This is very much what the stoics teach. This is a Greep philosophy of life to which I am attracted. They say don’t strive for fame and fortune but just focus on to become your best possible self. They also teach to focus on death to become more grateful and appreciative of life and more.

Thank you for the enchanting vacation pictures! I’m so glad you enjoyed your time and have treasured memories, including the man who saw beauty and became part of the beauty. I’ve long wanted to go to far away places of beauty (and still hope to) but I’m coming to a place in my life where it’s more important to see beauty in those I love, and maybe those I don’t love, and speak to it, to reinforce and nurture what is good. Sometimes I forget and see so easily what is wrong in myself, loved ones, the world… The big wrongs cannot be ignored, but the beauty and goodness I need to see that too. Thank you for clarifying what is so important.

As usual I agree so much with your view of the world!!! 🙂 ❤

I don't need a holiday I need a respite from the fun and games.

30 years of other people trying to sell me out and the increasing desperation of those around me trying to make money from my tormentors who dare not not stop with empty hands makes me feel like I'm the only person round here with a moral code and sense of honour… :/

My neighbour Doug (who spent a year and a half trying to get me into a Gay relationship in order to prove me to be Gay and did even worse things later) actually knocked on my door and tried to get me to add him to my WiFi so he'd have free broadband!!!

A Dark Narcissist, he seems to think I'm still easy prey despite all he's done!!!

On the plus side my water supply is no longer being dosed, after around 28 years so life is improving!!! 🙂 ❤

Love, hugs and Blessed Be!!! 🙂 ❤

How I sighed again and again at your pictures from your vacation. OH how they spoke to me, Sue! My message has been for a long time live in the Moment. How many of us really do? Fear. Now that is something everyone contends with. Some bow to it, others fight it and rise above it. I’ve had several interactions in which I have observed (yes I observe as well) how people who do not know who they are, will lie or act from studying someone, taking that someone’s personality as their own. To live freely as yourself even if that means ridicule from others, that is the only way to live! There are times I sometimes wish my Heart wasn’t so open so to avoid the heartache that is involved with life. Yet, if my Heart were closed, oh how miserable I would be.

Beautiful post, dear friend. Rejoice that you have the ability to go on vacation. Thank you so much for sharing with us your experiences in your travels. What a Heaven on Earth!! Much Love to you! 🦋🦋🦋

I know about the ‘open heart’ Amy, being empathic as we are, we can not help but ‘Feel’ There are too many with closed hearts, and the world needs our open hearts to allow the world to open up to its next stages within hers and mankind’s evolution..

So many insights here in this post, Sue. When I was done reading I noticed myself smiling. I cannot describe the contentment and love filling me while reading. Time is an illusion we need here on this planet. But in fact, what counts is the very moment. That we live it fully, fill it with us, with life, with love. What counts in that moment is the person we are with. What counts is our attention to what that moment gives us. Then we must never be afraid whether it is the last moment or not because we are not part of the moment (of a dissolving time) but we make the moment part of us.
Thank you for this inspiration and what it has given to me.
Sorry, for not heading over earlier, but I want to really take my time for reading your words, Sue.
    Blessings to you 💖

Never apologise dear friend, we arrive when we arrive, and I would sooner you spend every moment doing the things you enjoy..
I limit myself to blog time.. At one time I could spend many hours sat reading and commenting upon blogs..

A wonderful post with lots of interesting points. It was great to see inside Osborne house. A place I will most likely not see myself so thank you for sharing. I also thought about Prince Albert and how he must have missed his home country so much that he built that chalet inside the grounds. England must have seemed very different from his childhood home. And Shacklin village – delicious gingerbread house like buildings to enjoy. So adorable to see. Then on to the seriousness of your comments about the gentlemen with inner beauty. IT sounds like he enhanced your holiday experience and made it so much more memorable. You are right, it is about living in the present moment, and enjoying all the possible ways you can see positives in any situation that you find yourself in. Some might sit in the same room and Person A might see faults in the decor, complain about the food, or their aches or pains, or dwell on personal problems, whilst Person B might revel in the company of others, delight in the fact that we are free to sit in that room for as long as we choose, eat or not eat, chat with others or listen quietly, laugh, inquire and have a natural curiosity to learn from others, appreciate the uniqueness of the surrounds. There are loads of things in life we cannot control. Attitude dictates how we see life. Living in the moment can feed our soul.

Thanks Sue! We visited three new states in the beginning of May. I can connect with your feelings of being away and returning. I really liked your question; What if this was the last vacation ever, what if this week was the last week ever in this reality, how would you spend it? Being a sensitive soul, like yourself I often ask myself these deep questions, which enriches my life and experiences. Great pictures and as always it is wonderful to connect with you through our blogs again. Blessings, Lisa xx

You are so positive, quite fear-less, and all encompassing of you. Thereby, we are all set on our better path, should we have strayed.

You put a lot of wonderful energy into your posts, and I love the tale of “a man in his mid-forties travelling with his aged mother.”

I’m also very fascinated by the photo of Princess Victoria. She was quite the looker!!!
Be well, Sue! happiness to you!

At the outset dear Sue I must apologized for being in absence that too unscheduled and for such long time. I agree not acceptable between good friends. Just that things were going tad haywire and was not able to put things in proper perspective, now getting back on course. Seeing such lovely pictures and such enjoyable vacation, is so tempting, I need to take a forced break and have a creative dialogue with the nature. We are taking nature for granted and also we have stopped nurturing our nature of being ourselves, and being connected with these little things in life that really matters.

Such a delight to hear about your lovely vacation and the great time you had is visible in every words and images here, and the good part is we have been thinking alike. This post is where I see myself and my last few posts is where I was trying to figure out this very part of our life and living. We take a break to get back our energy and drive life towards a much more meaningful end. Routine is boring and it saps away our energy. As so beautifully captured in those small breaks that we take and meet such interesting people, and share such wonderful bondage, and the irony is that we may never meet again but those few days makes great memories for us. We just need to be there and cherish every moment that comes our away.

Indeed happiness is within and is around us but we search for it in the distance surrounding and outside us and by doing so we miss the real plot in our life. We are running behind the mirage. It is a way that we see and not the way things are presented to us. We get easily swayed by the glitter and glamour of life. We miss the small things behind the scene that makes life so beautiful and meaningful, just that we need to be bit more sensible and sensitize people around us for the cause that matters to all of us.

Yes, we have stopped raising our voice and we should speak out more often and aloud where our voice counts and can make a difference. There are multiples forces are in action to silence such balanced and reasonable point of views. There are artificial fear created around us and we are constantly under that state of fearfulness, and we cloud our mind from speaking our mind and sticking to our principles. It is in our hand to change the perception of our reality and make the same reality count for us.

Life is so much lived through the lens of perception and we need to harness our perceptive ability, and when prudently done it does make a world of difference in our life. Unfortunately the realities are so harsh and hardly do they leave any scope for easy maneuverability, we need to be smart and swift to get our perception put in proper perspective.

Dear Sue, always such a pleasure to come back here and engage with such profound thoughts and meaningful conversation with you that is so badly missing in today’s digital world that it is virtually out of the world…
Thank you so much for such a lovely post and wishing you a great week ahead, and take care!!!
    😀

Dearest Nihar, please never worry, I am very intermittent these days at being a regular visitor to many a good friend here on WordPress,
But those true to us know that LIFE and LIVING comes first, And we welcome all, no matter how long between visits..
I used to worry and try to do mega catch ups, sitting in my computer for hours in WP trying to catch every post back up, That is no longer possible with the volume I follow and those who post daily, some even more than one a day..

Our thoughts are often on the same page Nihar, I think maybe we are both sensing that we have to put that time aside to reconnect to the space within and that with Nature. For when we do, it makes a tremendous difference to our lives.
I hope you can find time to take that much needed break away for yourself and your family..
Many thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to read and comment my friend.. I hope to repay the visit one I too am all caught up..
Have a wonderful week and take care also 🙂

Dear Sue I fully agree, so much to do and so little time, and we are caught up with so many things. Perhaps that’s how life is. Never easy to balance the time we need spend here and the time we desire to spend outside this virtual space. This is part of the evolving world we are living in and we need to keep abreast with the things around us and not get excessively caught up in anyone of those things. Life in moderation is good and life in harmony is what we are strive for and that we can obtain when we provide space for our thinking not to get entangled in the web-wire.

Nevertheless when ever we meet here we meet with same vigor and joy of connection with such profound thoughts, and that’s what matter. Nothing can beat the power of nature and the empowerment we get when take a break, and disconnect from our routines and connect with the world at large. There is such beauty and bounty spread across the world we just need to find that time for ourselves. Somehow we are so busy and tied up with things that are of lesser significance in our life. We need to learn to prioritize things as we have our plate full and we are fighting for picking the right choice and it is this world where we are highly loaded and we need to unload from the burdens of life.

Hope dear Sue you are spending good time with the lovely nature around you and the art of painting is what missing at our end, and the more we see those wonderful works carved out of nature and captured on your canvas, we are deeply delighted and this gives us such a much relieved refreshing feeling.

Always a pleasure dear Sue and take your time and not to worry and as when we connect we do so with joy and we rejoice our beautiful conversation…that’s what really matters.
        Take Care!!!

A beautiful post all round Sue, your extremely compassionate words and pictures truly demonstrate the joys of travelling, I agree, no sooner than we are home and the house is in order, we find the need of travel dogging our footsteps.

The photos are stunning my friend.
I agree with you as to how quickly we get back into our daily moods and routines after a trip.
I have visited France, Italy and Spain last April. I can not tell you how much I cherish the memories and experiences… taking pics can help you preserve them in a material format, so as to speak, and I like that!.
Hope everything is doing well, my friend.
Much love and best wishes to you 😘▪️😘

Your photos helped me find a little mini vacay under those thatched roofs and near the water fall, and over the stone bridge! Also a people-watcher, I love to plant myself and just BE. Really appreciate the beauty of your vacation and the contemplation of your words to appreciate every, moment. None of us knows when our last day will be, so living wholly is a great reminder. Also one of my most favorite things to do is meet people along my journey-excursions. This happens most for me with people in person, I’m still more “shy” online than I am “one-on-one” in person, so many people strike conversations with me, it’s natural. What’s so beautiful to me is the sharing of our lives. I enjoy how natural those in-person conversations emerge. Who knows what happens once we part ways, and maybe we all shall meet again as we are cut from the “same cloth.” I still wonder about many people who I’ve worked with and/or met along the way and shone their light upon me. Lovely – lots of love, Ka

I think we meet and greet those we meet along the way for a reason, be it a fleeting encounter or a more permanent relationship. Our lives are irrevocably entwined beyond the threads we see.. 🙂
SO pleased Ka you enjoyed the journey with me.. Have a Beautiful weekend ❤

Hey ! What a wonderful post! I smiled to myself when reading how we often re-bound to our daily life after a vacation and how we quickly want another to get through, as you said “the first one”.

Thank you so much for this post

Joyful read and I so loved those thatched huts. I’m hooked to travelling and thankfully now, daughter makes it a point to plan trips for us every year. It is a great way indeed to cleanse ourselves of the rust settling in on our spirits and come back nice and shining .

Beautiful, profound, wise words dear Sue. You enjoyed a beautiful holiday and, as you say, they come and go so quick, but to be left with treasured memories is very special. Especially when we meet someone who’s touched us with their joy, like that man. Here’s to being authentic, kind, loving and not being scared to be ourselves. Last weekend I was one of those who wanted to get up and dance, quite literally, but I didn’t because everyone else in my small group was stifled and I followed. Why do we succumb to perception and the thoughts of others? Clearly I still have much inner work to do. Wonderful post Sue. xx

Thank you Miriam, I don’t know why we do it to ourselves, I think we do not follow our instincts of just EnJOYment for fear of what others think of us.. Which is what this man was so free of, and what drew so many into his circle.. His zest for life and humour, plus his smile and laughter of being in the moment totally was so refreshing.
If we all just got up to dance and let our hair down a little, I think it would open up much more joy in our lives and others we touch..
We are works in progress and We travel away again for another holiday very soon, and I will not be making the same mistake of just sitting tapping my feet.. I will be dancing 🙂 I made my mind up LOL ❤ Big hugs Miriam.. ❤

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
