Another year is about to close
As I write down yet another prose
To ponder my thoughts which I endeavour to share
To all of my friends here to which I do care
~~
My silence is broken to bid you good cheer
As I send you my Love at the end of this year
l meant to return much sooner to bring
You my gratitude and love during the festive swing
~~
But a bug it did bite me right in my chest
Leaving its virus and me with no zest
So, I curled up with tinctures and hot toddies to drink
Leaving the Pots to my hubby to wash in the sink
~~
It gave me time to ponder, getting things off my chest
The Universe thought it was time, yes it knew best
So off I did travel, back through my year
And sure enough it brought me good cheer
~~
As I recounted my good fortune, I truly am blessed
To be among such good friends as here on WordPress
I may take a little while before I get back in my stride
But I know you are waiting and will be here by my side
~~
So until I land upon each of your blog posts
Know you are loved as I raise my glass in a toast
To wish you Happiness, Love and Much more
As I wish each of you a Happy New Year with such Joy..

When dengue and chikungunya (viruses) slamamed me to a halt for two months, I also reflected on good health, how we sometimes don’t realize how lucky we are until good health is restored… it also prompted me to do some writing that seemed prompted by unconscious energy or a higher power… If we can get past the fatigue, the weakness, etc, those periods triggered by viruses can be positive as well. I’m gad that you’re better, and may 2017 bring lovely experiences intoyour life….

Funny how our bodies or perhaps our spirits know long before we do, when we need to be set down and taken off activities for a spell. We never seem to get the message before hand so we just keep going like energizer bunnies:) Sorry you had to become ill DW but it sounds as if you used that down time wisely! But of course. Take some time to regroup and re-energize for what lies ahead. Hopefully a brighter and more fairly balanced new year centered on love and peace. definitely not connected to this blog any more. I am surprised you can find it as i separated the two and then hid it. What about unfollowing and then following the new blog anew? Just a thought. I am glad you are better, but i think you sent it this way, but i have had my yearly night time run to the hospital (thank you) now i have inhalers, antibiotics and steroids – crazy body, which are helping but it will take time and patience. So, I spend my little energy on writing blog post and knitting when i can breathe enough to do so, as i can’t sleep for coughing. One day at a time. take care of yourself. Hugs xxx

So glad you are feeling better. Seems like 2016 was a year of healing and retreat for you and that you have been nurturing your garden, knitting, and other creative pursuits.
I feel very close to you, even though we have not spoken or seen one another face to face ( except in dreamtime). Your heart is so big and that is why so many souls love you dearly.

Hope you’re feeling better, Sue! 2016 has been a tough year and for me it ended sadly with the passing of my beloved aunt on 29th December. She was laid to rest on new year’s day and I’m glad she started the new year with no more suffering but eternal peace. Just want you to know that you’re in my thoughts this new year. May you be blessed with much love, joy, peace, good health and loving-kindness.

What a fantastic poem!! I love it. And I hope you are feeling better. I got hit with that bug too and it took me out for a few weeks. It is sure the time for ponderings and thoughts, so tho you were sick, I am glad you got that time. We, here, are Blessed with whatever time you have to share with us, so don’t worry about how much time, but the value of it is priceless. Love and Hugs!!
