Technical Issues~ A lesson in Patience

Dear Friends..

You may well wonder where I have gone to as I try to access your blog posts.. I seem to be experiencing  problems every time I click to view your posts from WP with my PC freezing refusing to load up your pages.. Getting stuck with  (read .s1.wp.com) showing as the culprit.

I can access other internet services with no problems.. Any ideas of how to solve this blip would be most welcome..

In the meant time I keep trying.. I have even tried accessing blogs direct from email alerts, and still it your pages will not load.. Sometimes It even takes ages for my own blog to load with the same message getting stuck..

So pleased bare with me.. ( Maybe the Universe is nudging me along to buy a new PC.. 🙂 ) as my old PC is slow any way.. but this is beyond frustrating..

In the mean time

Another  Photo for you ..

Doune Castle

Doune Castle Scotland you really have to look in the centre of the photo to find it 🙂  This was taken on our way to see Stirling Castle.

Hope to be back to viewing and commenting upon your posts as soon as this problems sorts itself.

Blessings Sue

Oh, I know exactly how frustrating these things are. Most of the times they are resolved as incomprehensibly as they appear. Sweet-talk has also been known to help sometimes! Either way, try to be patient, my dear Sue! 😉 Sending extra hugs! 🙂 xx

For the last two evenings I have tried and given up before the lid blew LOL.. Its been a heat wave here the last two days so the garden has been given lots of TLC 🙂 Hope it soon sorts itself.. Thank you for the encouragement.. ❤ Special Hugs..xxx

I wonder what it was, Sue; I know that WordPress needs to have cookies enabled for it to work, but other than that, I’m totally mystified as to why others sites weren’t loading. Then again, computers definitely aren’t my thing! H ❤

Nor mine Hariod… Prior to my going away I uploaded a new anti virus programme.. Ever since then I started having trouble.. I changed browers too about a month ago to Firefox.. as Chrome were no longer updating my vista PC.. Since then I struggled to connect on WP.. But since returning it went crazy.. Hope its sorted now..
And yes.. Computers are not my thing either.. I learnt the hard way click and hope for the best LOL ❤ xxx

Oh, you’re still running Windows Vista? I assumed you were running Windows 7 or 10. I can see why you may have had problems, as Vista is no longer supported for security issues as I understand it – same with XP. H ❤

That happened to me once and it was the PC. It took forever to load pages almost to the point it would take over an hour to open a page. Most frustrating. I took it in and bought a new one and transferred everything on the new one from the old.

Sue, if you are thinking of a new PC do consider an Apple. Happy to call you and pass on my own experiences. I was a Windows user until a couple of years ago, switched to an Apple Mini and never looked back.

      Thank you Paul,
After lots of juggling things and clearing everything, which I do do regularly, today I seem to be working ok.. I also did some tweeks to a Anti virus programme that I installed before I went away.. The trouble started then.
Lets hope it continues and yes I will look into Apple I am not savvy on the computer front.. But I live and learn 🙂 lol

Try using a different browser, WP works best with the Firefox Broswer (free download for both windows and Mac, then there is Crome, it’s good too, even translates the different languages automatically (it’s very fast too, a friend of mine thought she needed a new PC but I downloaded the 2 above mentioned browsers for her and she found that she didn’t need a new one) windows is a very old Broswer, most windows users don’t use it anymore because the other 2 browsers work so much better.

Also, try clearing all of your cookies and history in your browser, they can run slow when this is not done regularly.

Some people’s blogs have way too much on the fron page and sits too, too many widgets slows down WP, that’s why I don’t have any widgets on the sides that are pics especially animated pics, they totally slow down even a fast computer, WP free themes aren’t built fir a lot of side widgets pics.

Many thanks for your kind advice.. And I am guilty of lots of widgets 🙂 on mine.. Lol

Having exactly the same problem on the phone with the w.p app. Freezing…Black pages. ..crashing the whole phone. ..very trying and irritating. Going from the emails to the desk top site at mo which seems OK but long drawn out way to do things
Hope you get to the bottom of your tech issues. Mine probably needs an update for the app unless it’s updates causing the issue! The joy of tech! xx

I am sorry to hear this Sue. WP has many glitches, especially this year. Or it could be Mercury Retrograde ( hehe, until May 22nd) I would maintain patience and not purchase any electronics until the end of June if possible. I look forward to your visits and appreciate this heads up. Scotland looks so inviting on many levels. Hoping some of the magic has remained within you.

I’m so glad you have stuff figured out. Man! So difficult. I am dealing with techno issues too. Not wordpress, but memory. I bought a big external hard drive, but I don’t know how to use it with my computer. I mean, I can download my photos, but I don’t know how to work with them from the new hard drive. I used up all the memory on my computer. So, I’m with you with techno frustration!!

I have nearly a full memory too and bought an external harddrive, called a Passport Ultra.. If you down load your documents etc there, you should then be able to work on your pc with hard drive attached but then save to your hardrive when you have finished..
I downloaded everthing Pictures, documents the lot.. and then deleted from my computer my documents etc to create more space..And then work when opening up my Passport harddrive.. Hope you fathom a way.. technical and I do not mix Lol.. 🙂

Sue, the way Merc retro works is that yes, it does move. And how it interacts with your own astrology chart is where it ‘peaks,’ for you and each one of us. Probably what happened was during that ‘peak’ time. Blessings, dear one. ❤

Thank you for that.. I read a lot of posts upon Astrology, and I am learning more about the various alignments.. I have always known we connect with planets positions, and the Moon etc.. So I am always interested when I see how these things pan out.. At the same time I had my problems with my PC.. My Son’s Oven gave up the Ghost.. So I was able to tell him it was All the planet Mercury’s fault.. ( I just got that LOOK! That I often get lol ) hehe..

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
