So how is my Guitar playing Going?

This was what was delivered via the Universe.

This was what was delivered via the Universe. Full Story HERE

Hello dear friends..

I hope you are not too bored with the story of Muna upon her vision quest.. So as another little interlude Between Muna’s Story while I am absent on my scheduled posts. So  I thought I would let you know how I am doing on my guitar  lessons..

Well my fingers on my fret hand are still sore, in fact they are becoming numb as the skin hardens on the end of my finger tips. I still practice daily.

And have learnt a lot of new chords.. Now any would be guitarist out there will know that stretching your hands to get certain chords may be ok if you started when your hands were quite supple..

While my hands are nimble to do my knitting 🙂  the stretch in them is not as great ,but I am managing. Slowly but surely I am progressing.. One step at a time. But who invented that  dreaded F chord?? LOL  🙂

So now I have a few chords under my belt I have also now started to learn a few finger picking tunes.. And I took several online courses and learnt this tune.. Which I can play ok.. with a few pauses between chord changes at times.. but I am proud of what I have learnt so far..

The Sky is the limit and the only limits are what we set ourselves…

Lets face it.. I only have the rest of my life to perfect my guitar skills  🙂

So here is a video clip of the Sequence I have learnt.. No not me… Not Yet!! haha

Sending you Blessings your way..

Thank you for your continued support

More of Muna’s Quest tomorrow.

And I will be moderating comments upon my return..

That is wonderful that you are practicing so diligently. Yes, I imagine, it must be hard on the fingers. I played violin. It takes a while for the hard skin to build and it hurts a little before that.

You have so much creativity going on in your life with gardening, painting, music, and story telling. It is really inspiring.
    Much love to you,
    Karin

So admire the violin, so I admire your talent in playing it.. and I am hoping the skins soon hardens.. after a week without playing already they have softened up again….. We are all creative BEings dear Karin.. I am trying to make up for lost time.. 🙂 lol. So happy you are enjoying Karin.. Much love right on back my friend 🙂

I found B major to be the trickier of the basic chords – but still mastered (a gross exaggeration) House of the Rising Sun! H ❤

What fun and it gets better as the skin on your fingertips gets more resistant to pressure against strings, Sue, greatest of luck and success with it ❤

I started to learn the guitar back in my Hippie days, and you are so right! The fingers get crevices from the strings digging in and things get very sore. It does get better after time but thankfully you are practicing every day! Don’t give those finger tips time to rest:) Of course you will learn beautifully DW…You do everything to perfection!

Oh my goodness, Sue. I took guitar in college and learned some finger picking, but in my adult life, I still have my guitar but it sits in the corner. This makes me want to take it back out and do finger-picking videos on YouTube.
My problem is that there are SO MANY things I want to do! Haha. Guitar. Painting. Drawing. Coloring. Meditating. Writing.
Hehe…at least they’re all soul-infusing activities, no? I’ll get back into guitar one of these days. I’ve always wanted to be “that” person on the camping trip that people are like, whoa! Can we just sit here and listen? Hehe.
    Sending you hugs!

I have a lovely handmade classical guitar from NZ. A professional musician friend groans with glee everytime he gets to play it. And here it sits in our living room, enjoying a nearly perfect climate for its wood and nylon strings, and I rarely pick it up anymore. Yet there it is, always inviting, always ready when I am 😉

I’m sure you’ve already found after painstakingly contorting your fingers to the bone never seeming to get them to fall onto the note you want them to go — it helps sometimes to close your eyes. And definitely occasionally leaning it against the wall swearing to never play it again only to come back a week later and realize a phenomenal breakthrough in your playing. That’s what this little poem was about.

A little bird had told me about the low temps, earlier today,he had travelled all the way down from the UK to gather sunshine and now is back because there is so much work to be done in the allotments where she works. They grow such a big diversity of vegetables and flowers in Sue’s garden …
Hi my friend Sue,seeing is believing,I am stunned by all the thriving plants in your garden and I can imagine how happy you feel to see them growing. All is so neat and well-protected from the sudden attack of the “spring-winter”.Here the weather is hot and dry.Thank you for sharing all your gorgeous photos with us.Enjoy a splendid warm weekend.Sending you all my love and plenty of sunshine ☀️☀️☀️ 🙂

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
