Oneness within Nature

Ladybower Reservoir

Ladybower Reservoir

We went out hiking over the weekend and went back to Hope Valley the place of my roots.. We walked along the shore of the Ladybower Reservoir which is part of the Derwent Valley Reservoirs of which there are Three.. More about them can be found HERE  “Together Howden, Derwent and Ladybower reservoirs form the largest area of open water in Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park….”

Be at One with yourself

Be at one with the world

Trees around Ladybower

Trees around Ladybower

Be at One with Nature

And see your life unfurl

Autumn Colours around Ladybower

Autumn Colours around Ladybower

Close your eyes and imagine

The beginnings of a New Earth,

Autumn Hills at Ladybower

Autumn Hills at Ladybower

And Open your eyes to your beauty

Breathe in and give Birth.

Looking down between the trees

Looking down between the trees

divider

For you are One and part of the Whole

Not a separate Unit , but a Beautiful Soul

The Sun breaks through

The Sun breaks through

United within the One Divine love

And part of that cosmic hub.

Take in the view

Take in the view

Share your love along with your Light

And Rejoice in Gratitude

Use your sight

To see a world in Beauty and Grace

Looking Back at the bridge view

Look beyond and see what wonders you can find

divider

You are stronger than you think you know

Spread a little Love where ever you go

One of the towers at Ladybower

One of the towers at Ladybower  Use your own tower of strength

Shower your peace and sprinkle your heart

Into the rivers of life, send a ripple a spark

Curves of colour

Curves of colour

Be Calm, knowing all is well

Keep breathing in Peace for inside it dwells

divider

Autumn Hills at Ladybower

Autumn Hills at Ladybower

Know you are where you are meant to be

Open your eyes

Come on now See

looking across the valley

looking across the valley

For we are ONE and it’s time to Unite

Stop all your hating, and judging and strife

And still another bend to follow at Ladybower

And still another bend to follow at Ladybower

Find your heart and clear out your mind

Seek out yourself

And Wisdom you’ll find

divider

Golden tops to the trees

Golden tops to the trees

Let go of torments and allow the Joy in

Come on now people

It’s time to begin

Allow the colours into your life

Allow the colours into your life

Be One with yourself

Be One with the world

Be One with nature

Let the oneness begin

Let the oneness begin

And Let the Universe Spin

For the Spiral is turning and

Peace will Win..

The above poem I wrote in 2012..

I have tweaked it with some recently taken photo’s of a visit to Ladybower Reservoir More can be found out about this place and how Derwent Dam played its part in WWII The Dam Busters Those who are aeroplane enthusiasts will enjoy the second link.

Have a Wonderful Weekend..

The grace of your words and poetry of your spirit rings true once again Sue, with this post and in the incredible photos of Ladybower Reservoir. Nature is blessed when we care for it ~ just as we are blessed with nature caring for us. A great post for the weekend – it sure sounds like it got off to a great start for you with the hike.

Many thanks my friend. My photo’s are only taken with my small mobile phone.. 🙂 but I was delighted with how they turned out.. Not a patch upon your own, .. I still come over to ponder upon them.. I loved the Native American Theme as I mentioned to you.
Nature nurtures us back.. and the Indigenous people knew how to only take which was needed and always leave plenty.. and give thanks in return..
When we show nature our respects, she rewards us accordingly :-).. And I and so delighted you enjoyed the photo’s I shared Randall.. Thank you 🙂

It does seem that we, as a society, will eventually come back to the way of the Native Americans. As you say, take what is only needed and give thanks in return. 🙂

Yes I agree, their wisdom is within all of their teachings.. Its sad that we have destroyed so much of nature, also so many of our own species as well as many more besides which we have made extinct.. Because of one of our Human traits.. ‘Greed’ .. And I am reminded of another proverb that I often quote

Sue,what a beautiful place to grow up near I can see how a love of nature took root in you from your pictures. You and I grew up in a time when there was nothing better to do than be outdoors exploring or just being with nature. Today youth is defined by the video games and facebook likes instead. If I had one wish it would be for all to go outside and explore the world around them to feel the connection we know is there.

Yes it is sad so many pale faced children around, no fresh air, eyes glued to their phone, ipads or game consoles,.. We were turfed outside only coming in for lunch and dinner in the holidays, and we couldn’t wait to change out of uniform and go out to play.. 🙂
The world then was a safer place though, not as much road traffic or horrendous people praying on children about back then. We never locked our doors, or needed a mobile phone when we would go miles walking as children, you just told your parents where you were going and they would say be back by meal time and that was it..
That is a great wish Lois, Its that connection which is lacking and we need to embrace nature to feel in balance again.. xx

I was filling my new church leader in on some of the past and he gave me three pieces of advice; let go of the past, be still and find joy. After only 10 I feel like i am standing at the edge of woodlands and somewhere in the middle there is a glade where the sun is shining, I have been to the edge of the glad but have yet to step into it. I do feel like i am standing on the edge of nothingness awaiting clarity.

It’s views are stunning, but the woods are surprisingly quiet not much bird life. Maybe because there are a lot of Pines, but when you get into the wooded parts of mixed trees, the birds can be heard singing again.. I Have been in more ‘Alive’ places for Nature,, But the views with the water were worth the revisit.. Many thanks for your lovely comment 🙂 xx

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
