The Healing Wood~ Conclusion

Woodland Walk

Woodland Walk

Sometimes when the world gets too much

As our inner mind chews over such and such

Take yourself off for a walk

~~

When the doubts roll in

Creating that internal din

Take yourself off for a walk

~

Breathe deep that fresh clear air

Release your worries and the worlds despair

As you take yourself off for a walk

~

Observe all nature and how she grows

Pick wild berries from among the hedgerows

As you take yourself off for a walk

~

Ask Mother Nature to let you see

All of her wonders created for thee

As you take yourself off for a walk

~~

Look to the skies

At the Rainbow she supplies

As you take yourself off for a walk

~~

Green for growth, Blue for calm

Nature holds her very own charm

As you take yourself off for a walk

~~

Nature gives and Nature takes

Balancing ALL as she creates

As you take yourself off for a walk

~

Peace fills the mind as time has flown

Blending in Nature for you have grown

I so Enjoyed My Walk!

I hope you enjoyed our Woodland Walk over this series of the Five Photo Challenge.. I know my Granddaughter and I really enjoyed ourselves exploring..

Wishing you all a wonderful Week… Filled with Peace , Love and Happiness..

And remember..

We are ALL Family within the Human Race.

My thanks go to Kim over at Silentlyheardonce  who is a wonderful poet. Kim asked if I would take part in the 5 day photo challenge.. While I have given up accepting Awards this challenge is an easy one for me to take part in, as I had a set of photo’s I was going to post. But now with this challenge I will  add a poem I wrote a few years ago now a couple of verses at a time to each photo.. And bring you the last photo with the complete poem at the end.

The Rules are as follows..

Here are the rules for the “Five Photos Five Stories” challenge: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge.
(Sporadic posting is alright if you’re unable to post each day.)

My Last nomination is going  to anyone of you that feels inclined to take part 🙂

You literally had, over last few days, all drum beaters walking with you and the grand little one, Sue; the stanzas together now, appear as pleasingly arrayed as a morning assembly of school children…best wishes.

To be honest, I never read poetry. Yours was speaking to me and I found myself coming back for more. That’s something to print and hang on the wall. It’s true, taking ourselves for a walk can be just the remedy we need.

I enjoyed the entire series, Sue! Thanks for taking us along this tour of grace and rejuvenation. You have some beautiful woodlands and meadows nearby– some great places for the soul to find reminders of its native tranquility. Being in nature is so restorative– a web of ancient rhythms that seep into our bones and hearts. And I loved seeing the smiling faces!

Walking indeed is so wonderful, it is not just self-discovery, it is a panacea for all problems, it costs nothing but many of us are not aware of it or are ignorant of its potential. As so rightly put that when in worry go for a walk, when in doubt go for a walk…when we are in the midst of nature, life is more peaceful and we can feel the happiness, the rainbow, the butterflies to the flowers, there are colours and there are so many fascinating colours provided we have senses open and we have our mind open to the world around us…

So beautifully crafted thoughts, I just came back from my evening regular walk and I could relate every bit of it, and it was good reminder…thanks so much for reinforce my thoughts…
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, of course wandering in the beauty and bounty of nature…
    😀

An excellent poem. Walking my dog is one of the best ways for me to get inspiration to write. In one of my regular walks there is a small wooded area which is my favourite bit.

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
