 Nature’s Colours

Colours are all around us, but do we really see.

We take every thing for granted, and act so seriously

Have you ever stopped to think, if the world was black and white.

Close your eyes for a minute think! What if you had no sight?

Never to see a tree full with shades of green.

Never to know the blues of skies and ocean seas.

Come with me on a journey, back to nature and discover

Open your eyes see afresh full of colour.

Collecting sacks of yellow is our busy bumblebee.

Making lots of honey in his hide amongst the trees.

Surrounded by the flowers, whose colours are so bold?

Colours of a rainbow, now there’s your pot of gold.

Rose red, primrose yellow, oranges and apples green.

Tell me, who created all these lovely scenes.

Dazzling bright, smoothly blending, colours of the spectrum.

Every colour you can imagine is Gods almighty emblem.

Eagles circling with effortless ease, around a snow capped mountain

Reflecting sunlight upon a lake. Cascading like a fountain.

Wildlife in our forests before they cut the trees,

Tiger, Bear, and Panda and swinging Chimpanzees

Icecaps snowy beauty of Seal and Polar Bear,

Icebergs that comes crashing in the warming sunny glare.

The fish deep in the ocean, the salmon in the stream.

All full of beauty, much better than any dream.

So when you next open up your eyes.

Look and SEE you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

At the beauty, which surrounds us, and it’s absolutely free.

For which I pray to thank our Lord, most gratefully.

Beautiful lines and images, Sue, capturing the grand panorama surrounding our existence. As you rightly remind, it is up to us to really see and experience it all, well before we march to the grave, not forgetting to remain ever so thankful, and duly caring to preserve it for later generations…best wishes… Raj.

Quite lovely work as always dear Sue, and how true it is that we take our senses for granted; for it is that they give the world its colour and vibrancy, as much as the world by turn conveys it constantly to us. The two are in a symbiotic and synthetical relationship that remains as mysterious as it is transcendently beautiful in its evanescent provision of colour and sound, of taste and feeling, scent and imagination. It truly is quite a journey, just as you so gracefully describe in your poem; let us not take it for granted. H ❤

Dear Hariod, as always your comments leave me thinking even more deeply.. Yes so true our senses add to this wonder we call planet Earth.. And the symbiosis of how everything is interlinked.. It truly is a remarkable journey we are upon. And I only marvel even more at the Wonder of its creation.. 🙂 I for one am so thankful I chose to be on this journey within the Earth Realm. 🙂 Love and Blessings ❤ Sue

Sue, what a beautiful composition of thoughts and indeed the message is very profound. We are now so busy and lost in our career and work that we look at life only in black and white, and yes life is colorful and nature provides us with all the flavour and flairs of beautiful life but we have stopped using our multiples senses to observe and absorb the beauty of life…

The idea that world would loose all its color and we loose our sight is very dreadful to think, but today unknowingly we do it exactly the same we have cease to see the beautiful faces and facets of nature, we rarely see the rainbows, we rarely stop by to watch the beauty in a flower, we ignore the changing colours of season and we just mechanically go through the change of season.

Yes, loved the journey with you, the thoughts are deeply intoxicating and the picture is really mesmerizing and such warm and colorful display of thoughts, it has ignited my imagination to come to the reality and check the beauty now, here and around and need not to lost in the imagination and ignore the colour beauty surrounding us which nurtures us senses.

Have a wonderful weekend and yes the colors nature to nurture our senses…

Dear Nihar.. I am so pleased you enjoyed the beauty of this journey within my poem my friend.. And yes you are so right. SO many today miss what is right under their noses.. I especially feel for those who work in large inner cities and do not see the countryside like I do.. But still we can look up to see the sky, feel the rain and marvel at the flowers all be it bought from a florist .. Then there are the colours of all the fruits we eat… the Rainbows are there in all things .. Even the bubbles in our washing up liquid, the petrol over spills of oil in the rain puddles.. The colours leaves as they turn through the seasons.. The list is endless.. All too often we miss them..
I am so pleased your imagination was ignited Nihar…
All of your posts inspire and ignite thought my friend.. Thank YOU!
      Blessings Sue

Yes, Sue it is a wonderful feeling. I love nature and it was a delight to go with the journey of nature with your lovely words, it was such beautiful flow and so much colour and light, life becomes exciting and the exploring of the beauty and bounty of nature is joy to ride.

There is different world inside the ecosystem of nature and it keeps displaying its multiple colours and pictures, it is for us to stop and see those lovely moments of nature and preseve it for posterity…but we get lost in cacophony of the city life and deplete our senses from sensing the way it should be doing, instead these senses have become corrupt and our mind is clouded…

Yes, your posts gives such a fresh and profound message that it ignites our imagination and triggers our inspiration…
Hope you are having a lovely weekend.
        take care!!!

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love...
