Hello my patient fellow bloggers.. I am currently over this weekend working my way around to those who have left me such thoughtful responses over the last few weeks.. As I endeavour to catch up with many of your posts..
How is your Summer going?
Mine has been very productive as well as restful in-between gardening, I have been resting, reading, oh and I finished off a knitting project also. And of course I have been keeping my eye on the ball in Wimbledon as the Tennis Season is in full swing.
I am learning to self Nurture!
You can find out more of what I have been up to when you click this next photo below of some of my harvest and other crops that are growing.
It will take you to Dreamwalker’s Garden
Enjoy your weekend
And take care of each other
Love and Blessings
~Sue~

I am sorry to hear the rain has been constant.. We have had more than a few Spring, Summers and Winters like that here in the UK.. with terrible floods a couple of years back.. So this is a bonus for us this Summer.. its not often we wake up to fine Sunny days one after the other so we are making the most of it.. 🙂

This year is terrible. I had to turn the AC on, even though it’s only 70F in the house, just to get the moisture out. Rained again in the night..I am sick and tired of it and so is my garden. My weeds are bigger than my cucumbers and tomatoes 🙂

Thank you Uta for taking the time to hop over to Dreamwalker’s Garden blog. We go to the allotments most every day, and spend a couple of hours daily.. More when its Spring and it needs digging etc.. But once you get a rhythm going and hoe the weeds .. Watering is the main thing. we have to carry water from a trough in watering cans which can take two hours of your time watering of an early morning or evening, especially as we have had some Hot days.. 🙂 But all good… and we are enjoying Summer and our Crops.. Glad you liked my knitting.. 🙂 Hugs Sue

Dear Sue, We came by to visit your beautiful sanctuary, and the Dahlias stood out! Are they Dahlias? Thank you for your kind comments on my blog, and I’m so happy to hear that July is really, really such a pleasure! 🙂 You always amaze me my friend. I love hearing from you, and visiting! We got our Towergarden up and running. I got some mint from a field and transplanted it; I’m looking for quick and easy crops to start off. Mint is such a wonderful scent! The sweater you knitted makes me feel melty 🙂 I love how the paint-chipped step reminds of a blue sky with puffy white clouds.

So pleased you enjoyed Ka.. and I so thank you for taking the time to visit.. Yes Mint is good.. but beware it spreads and spreads and takes over.. So you may want to plant somewhere you are not worried about it spreading.. We have a corner in the allotments.. And I am always cutting it back.. I have watermint near my pond and variegated mint which I keep in a tub with my Mints.. I did have chocolate mint but that seemed to die off one bad winter. 🙂 Yes they are Dahlia’s and the blue step is part of the shed where Hubby built a lean-too to house some outdoor tomatoes.. we sit on the bench though where all the veggies are displayed .. to catch our breath in-between hoeing 🙂 LOL.. And yes I can see how they remind you of clouds and blue sky LOL.. 🙂 Love and Big Hugs xxx Sue

Hi Sue… Thank you. I want the mint to spread right now. Yes… maybe once it’s there, it’s there, so it’s good to be aware of! It’s got a couple of limiting factors – so it can’t get too out of hand. I live in a semi-arid climate. Natural water is difficult to come by; I use water with discretion. Another limiting factor is that it’s in a planter box made of brick, so there’s no open land for it. I don’t know very much about it’s genetic drift capabilities (how far the seeds can travel via wind). We also don’t get a ton of wind here. In my gardening of other areas around the house, I use an aeroponic/ hydroponic system. It recycles water and does not use soil. I’m just experimenting. We’re in a new setup here. I’m no garden whiz like you, so I do appreciate the pointers. This morning I met a snail. I told it to mind itself 🙂 Actually, I didn’t. I just took pictures of it and felt happy that it reminded me to slow down. Much love, Ka

No problem with the mint in a brick container.. 🙂 And yes the seeds can get blown, but its more the roots which spread. And love the sound of your aeroponic/ hydroponic system. Sounds cool.. I will have to look up how that works 🙂 And yes the snails are all over my garden when the blackbirds do not spot them.. they can be quite large and love hiding under the rims of my flower tubs.. Good thing we have a few frogs too, as they keep lots of insects and slugs at bay. Happy Experimentation Ka. 🙂 xx

Those vegies Sue when I see what you and your husband have done.
I think Pauline and I should have left more room for vegies but native plants and flowers are good for the wild visitors they have been pushed out by the concrete.
So it is all good and you are really tuned in on showing everyone how to live.
You are changing the world by your example._/\_

You know Jack.. it wouldn’t take long for the Plant Kingdom to reclaim our concrete world!.. Not when you see how fast they can reclaim a neglected path or walk way.. Plants will be here long after Man has finished mixing concrete 🙂 And by the way he is going Long after Man has vanished from this Earth.
