I have spend the best part of a couple of hours on WP this afternoon, not only catching up on some of your blog posts which have appeared in the reader, but I have been sifting through my archives, looking for inspiration.. My mind is kind of blank at the moment.. And tiredness sweeps in like waves rushing in on the shoreline.. as my energy comes in short bursts… I am just allowing myself to go within the flow.
Below is a poem I wrote back in 2011.. I did repost it again in 2012. But I know I have many more new subscribers, welcome to you all, who it will be new to..
Often our minds hold all the images we can do nothing about. So sometimes, Clearing one’s thoughts is all we can do, as we learn to let go of the turmoil we keep within..
Have a Beautiful weekend all of you..
Love and Blessings
~Sue ~
Hollow is the mind as you shut out the night
Images drift in as visions across the screen as you fight
The torments of a soul suspended within the illusion
As you twist and turn in the jungle of confusion
Darts of blame
Spears of flames
Arrows of truth piercing the layers
As they burn into your soul, sending out prayers
To all who would listen
Hark, Hear that? As tears glisten
Rolling down, they fall through time
Tasting their salty brine
The silence echoes back across the void
What is this world in which we’ve toyed?
This Garden of Eden in which we play
Why do we destroy and cause so much dismay?
The Visions erupt clear and sharp
Each one like a new thrown dart
You erase them, scrubbing them clean
Your mind the blackboard…… the screen
You take up the chalk and in Big Letters you write
There is only one answer for this world ..
UNITE
A common theme, a running thread
To pull together all pounding in my head
Nations against nation Man against Beast
I see it all as the story is unleashed
And as the Hollow is filled with thought
The restless mind in-between Worlds is caught
Seeing the Visions of Natures wrath
And all who will suffer along her path
Is it any wonder as I twist and turn
The Visions of our future are of Peace I yearn
So close your eyes- close them tight
Hollow is the mind as you shut out the night.

I think the secret is allowing it to pass through you and not hanging on to any part of it. Life is all about experience and living is all about how we learn to adapt to change and how we grow. We can shut down and twitch or we can let it flow out and learn from it. Moving on is the next natural progression and only when we allow ourselves to move on are we stronger and wiser and even more ready to take on the next difficult situation.

Thank you Narf.. you are spot on as always with your wise words of experience.. And I totally agree, and would be the very first to be saying these same words to myself.. LOL.. That is what is so frustrating for me.. for I do know better, and Know not to let that inner chatter get the better of me.. I guess I just need to revisit and had not learnt the first time around or I would not need to go back over things in my mind..
Believe me… I am so ready to kick this situation into the next century LOL… Many thanks for your support… xxx Hugs Sue

Visiting after a long time…and still the same warmth on this blog 🙂
I agree we ought to let go of the mind and the various thoughts it tends to accumulate since they could eventually become toxic if not released.
Hollow mind…gotta live in that blank space…pure bliss!

Hey Girl….Have you given any thought to what is going on with your comment section? It is still so frustrating to want to comment but no reply button appears. It may be me but I comment everywhere else which is why I am asking if it could be your site? Am I being blocked maybe? Just wondering. Hope all is well. Sending love and hugs…Hollis

Hi Sue! 🙂
The problem with the posting of comments is a bug in WordPress that surfaces from time to time.
I’ve had it twice with Nikki’s blog page and once with one of the others.
I suspect that when the page is downloaded the bug occurs and, once there, remains until a fresh page for that person is downloaded, so I suspect the cache is part of the problem.
Love and hugs!
Prenin.

Agreed Sue, sometimes the best we can do is allow our minds to empty, returning to the peace of oneness, emptiness before the ideas. Or if we are in busy mind, allow that too.
Hugs and prayers for emptiness that refreshes. 🙂

Time for you…one of the hardest things to do is receive 🙂 Rest and be gentle on yourself Sue. You have gone from the hubub of giving to everyone else when you worked, then all the events in your life recently, which has left things a little unbalanced.
Don’t do anything yet as physically you can rest right up in a week, but that emotional journey you have been on needs much time and rest. A little contemplation with long bouts of nothingness in a walk or your craft or even just a general chat with friends.
Then in amongst that (because your no longer looking), an answer will come from within and tap you on the shoulder, giving you a little more direction in your life and allowing the mind to rest. Take your time, and a journey will unfold. Mark

Dearest Mark.. You are so right.. about being gentle with myself.. You see much my friend.. You are very tuned in, and I thank you for your healing energy.. I like to think of myself as ‘In control’ lol.. ( part of my trouble).. As I would be giving to others… Coming to this particular phase in my life makes me feel in a void somewhat.. And I am not liking this feeling of being in limbo or lack of direction..
It was fine when I first took my retirement, I had lots of projects I had been promising myself to catch up on.. and I did… Learning once again to rest.. and allow that ‘inner chatter’ to subside and quieten down is a little harder than I first thought.. As within those quiet spaces I revisit my past.. ( I know.. and I DO know I should be in the present moment of NOW not reflecting back upon events in my life ).. But maybe these events need to be revisited in order that I can at last let them go completely..
I am ever thankful for such good friends who I know have endured their own learning journeys of travelling a similar road through emotional times.. And I ever grateful that you are upon my particular path sharing your wisdom..
Many blessings your way Mark..
Sue

Beautiful and poem with so much important things for us to be aware of. Sometimes (or almost all the time) the mind seems to live it’s own life, with thoughts rushing around like trains, crossing each other. It’s then hard to calm down and find peace. But the best thing is to just let them rush, not taking notice and they will soon vanish beacause of the lack of attention. That is something i learned through the years. I can recognize this in this post, great reminder.
Have an awesome weekend<3

Yes if we are not careful our minds can run riot, and create a whole new scenario making mountains out of molehills if we are not careful.. I have difficulty sleeping and try to read, knit or write to keep my mind occupied and focused prior to sleep.. If I thought too much about what was going on in the world, I go off upon empathic travels which is upsetting.. Your wisdom of letting thoughts rush in and out and take no notice is a good one.. And thank you for your lovely comment.. Many thanks and you too enjoy.. xx

Very subtle but profound in your manifestations, the thoughts…the mystery mind keeps us intriguingly engaged and searching for the answer through out the journey of our existence…we scratch and we scream to get the right answer why the mind behave the way it does and how one control and make it more meaningfully engaged…it is like a treasure hunt where in the end the treasure is not found and we keep analyzing the clues…
Lovely poem….Have a great weekend Sue.

Your poems are always a reflection of you wonderful heart and spirit! I thought about not writing anymore, a while back after the holidays, I meditated and did not want to read much, and in a dream i heard a voice, saying i was given the gift, so never tire of doing good and sharing the love placed within you. Sue so I say that to you also, my native american side would say, the great spirit has blessed you with his gift of love for you to share…rise up again within, be renewed, refreshed, rejuvenated, and bless us daily…we need the radiance your love brings to our lives. Hugs always my sister…have a wonderful weekend!

How difficult the Journey with those who have come here to walk the Path of Peace. This world so alien to that which is True within our Souls, yet the Beat of Love keeps us all going right up until the very end. Bless you, Sue. Energies have been very tough lately, Sue, so it is just not about my Dad. To chase the dullies away, I am planning on going to get my enhanced license to go to Canada so that I can photograph Niagara Falls. I wanted to go Monday to the bureau, but they are closed. So Tuesday I go. I get a temp. license which I can use, and this coming week I am going to Canada. I have to prepare because this to me is a big shoot. Hubby is coming too, so we plan on leaving around 9am so we can be back by 3pm, in time for our cats’ feeding time. I have to get all my equipment ready and also order some equipment for hubby this weekend. Lots to do. Don’t be surprised if I don’t post much next week. This is THE big one, so lots to get done before we go. (((HUGS))) Amy

So I can only guess at your excitement.. Which is now doubled now you have a Photo partner to equip too.. 🙂 Can’t wait..
And apologies I have not been visiting as often Amy… I have been trying to keep my mind busy. So we set too to decorate the spare bedroom.. Scrapping paper and wallpapering and painting.. Sure makes you crash out of a night. 🙂

Please stop apologizing, Sue. We all must do what we must in order to get through some tough times in our lives. I’ve deliberately slowed down in some ways, so that I will not get lost in busy-ness to numb out. Dealing with many emotions, having nightmares, daymares, yet ….. I will not let go of where I am because I am determined to claim Peace with all circumstances surrounding my Dad’s passing. I in fact, today, have begun telling family I know by now who truly are family and those who are not. I refuse to slide back into dysfunction with some, so as of today, I have banded together with those in my family who are willing to tear off the bandages in order to see Truth. Not easy, but those who I consider family have been rocks, rocks that prior to my Dad’s death, were not there. Blessing has come my way in the form of family I did not have before. We together are reaching out and really learning what family means. And this too is GOOD. Love, Amy
