Re-connecting to our Earth Mother.

“Every part of this soil is sacred in the estimation of my people. Every hillside, every valley, every plain and grove, has been hallowed by some sad or happy event in days long vanished.”

The above quote is part of Chief Seattle’s original speech of 1854, as reported by Henry Smith in 1887.

Rufford Lake

We spend so much of our time indoors, especially in the winter months, as we become so focused on the busyness of our lives. We become disconnected from our Mother Earth.

Geese gathering looking for food

Geese rushing to be fed

These two followed us some distance

These two Geese followed us some distance checking we had given them the last of the grain.

It is this time of year that the lack of sunshine can bring on the doldrums of feeling low in spirit  and the  SAD syndrome  And even I was feeling depleted in energy as I missed connecting to my garden and going for walks over the last couple of weeks.

Winter in our  Allotment

How our allotment plot is looking at the moment.Looking tired but still full of Goodness yet to harvest.

I was commenting recently with a fellow blogger as I said the majority of those in cities are now so disconnected to Mother Nature, and this is often what is lacking in our lives… We spoke on how much better we always feel when we connect back with Nature, from either walking or spending time near water or trees..

Snowdrops in the wood

Snowdrops in the Woodland Walk

Snowdrops

Much of what we truly need can only be found under the naked sky, alongside tall trees, on open plains, or in the sound of running water. As our energy re-connects back to the whole of which we are all a part..

Feeding the Birds

Feeding a Chaffinch along our walk with bird seed

Being in nature connects us to the earth, grounding us as we walk, unhindered by concrete, upon her. Surrounded by other living beings, both bigger and smaller than we are, we remember that human beings are simply one form of life in this vast universe.Rose Hips.. Natures own Vitimins

We instinctively know that nature is good for us on many levels. Even if you live in a city or find it difficult to travel to a forest or the countryside, there are many ways to reconnect with nature.

Rose Hips a natural source of vitamin C.

When you step out of your door each morning,  allow your senses to absorb your surroundings.  Breathe deeply, listen to the wind, or it may be the rain upon the pavements.. So many of us run around not wanting to get wet… Yet the rain is cleansing and is the Life Giver to this planet, smell it on the grass, and if you have no grass, watch the circular ripples in the puddles. See the reflections in the water and watch the droplets run down your window panes..

 Autumn Fruits Rose Hips

Just pause for a moment and take in Nature’s beauty and colours, and remember each breath you breathe Nature has provided we  so take our breath for granted. Allow your senses to embrace the gifts Mother Nature has to offer us every day. As you spend time re-connecting with Nature she is also healing you, that is why we all feel so much better for a walk in the fresh air away from the concrete pavements.

( And preferably watch where you put your feet and don’t fall )

Big smiles..

Many thanks for all your wonderful well wishes.

I am feeling much lighter of Spirit.

I Will be catching up with you all very soon..

Love and Blessings

Surrender and Acceptance of Self.

Sadness is something we all go through, and we all learn from it and are deepened by its presence in our lives. While our own individual experiences of sadness carry with them unique lessons, the implications of what we learn are universal. For the World too is going through its own unique lessons as we grow through the experience.

The last thing most of us want to hear or think about when we are dealing with profound feelings of sadness is that deep learning can be found in this place.
The other thing we often would rather not hear is that the only way out of it is through it.

Sometimes being empathic means we do not always realise if the feelings of melancholy are ours or we are feeling the energies we link into.

I was feeling low of spirit way before my Dear Aunt passed away. I had already prepared a post in my drafts about Nature making us feel better, which I will post at a later date..   I had taken a walk on the Saturday taking snap shots for the post.. And went out again on Sunday to recharge my batteries again as I had felt much refreshed by walking in Nature ..

Yet not 5 minutes out of the car, I tripped and fell heavily meeting the concrete path from the car park with a crack so loud on my chin I thought I had broken my Jaw.  Luckily I only badly bruised my chin(Bruises: The little bumps in life. Self-punishment.)   and sprained my wrists.. ( Sprains: Anger and resistance. Not wanting to move in a certain direction in life). Which left my muscles feeling very stiff over the last few days, (Stiffness: Rigid, stiff thinking.) Life is showing me the ‘Signs’

Self analysis is also a painful business, and over the last few days I guess I have been reflecting upon the direction of my life. I embraced early retirement with so much gusto, and threw myself into the allotment, decorating, and knitting projects.. and yet I have still to find what fills that empty space..

I guess I am resisting being in my comfort zone of being ME…

Sitting with our sadness takes the courage to believe that we can bear the pain and the faith that we will come out the other side. Sadness teachers us the ability to surrender and the acceptance of change go hand in hand.

I just need to change my thoughts and follow the above quote I guess I am still in the process of adjusting and the lessons are coming in thick and fast.

Thank you for reading Love and Blessings

Sue

Alone with my thoughts today

 Jewelled Rose

 Goodbye my sweet Aunty, in this your 90th year

~Beatrice~

  March 9th 1926 – January 28th 2015

You are loved

Say hello to Dad for me..

Where I sit is Holy..

You might think this is an odd title for my post until you open up the video to listen..

The music below is a particular favourite of mine.. When I used to run my Trance Circle we would sit and drum, and play music and sing to raise the vibrations before the trance session started..

It matters not where we sit…We do not need a holy place, we can be  sat alone in our room, or out in nature,  But we can each of us connect to that Holy space which is all around us.. The very air we breathe and the Divine Energies which surround us all.

For me I am never more connected to Spirit than when out in nature..  I have missed walking and connecting with Mother Earth these past few weeks… And have to admit I have felt a little low of spirit.. And feel the energies altering around me..  And like many who feel the dark long months of Winter I will be pleased when Spring finally breaks through..

So today I repeatedly played this CD.. And it uplifted me… Because the Great Spirit is around us in every thing we do.. So smile to those who surround you within your circle.. Be it family or friends.. And work and play in harmony..

I will be absent a few days.. We are using this time to decorate, as its given snow again for tomorrow.. So take care of each other.. And I will see you all soon..

Blessings to you All..

Sue

We Are the Light!

I was listening again to this music and I was reminded of a what I wrote back in 2009, in the form of the poem below, I wrote it on the beach while visiting the ocean I looked on as children played in the sand.

Our Children Learn by example

Lets set them some good foundations to Grow with.

They are our future and our Light in the world… Teach them the ways of Unity,  Acceptance, Tolerance, and PEACE..

And allow them to learn about Earth Law,  And learn about legal Law..I had drafted this post last evening and as synchronicites conspired, . Today  I read Paul’s post on Learning From Dogs . And found on his post a video about The Children’s Climate Crusade

For it will be our children who have to pick up all the mess we adults are leaving behind us.

I  hope you find time to go and watch the video posted there.

~~~~~
Let Our Children Grow
I breathe deep breaths of salt sea air
The breeze does blow, playing with my hair
Children’s laugh and play in sand
A moment’s pause, in make-believe land.
As time stands still, I watch unseen
As families join this loving scene
Where sandcastles are built, with children’s smiles
The ocean is clear and smooth for miles
All so innocent, all so young
Unaware of life to come
Moments so precious, never to return
As memories of yesteryear I yearn.
A time when my children full of life
Not knowing that heartache could cut like a knife.
A time when life was simple and plain
Not knowing we each carry this pain.
I see so much, yet dare not tell
Shaking away dreams, I must not dwell.
So for now I freeze this moment in space
Sending out prayers for the Human Race.
These children whose laughter echoes in my ears
Are our future and hopes for all we hold dear.
So teach them to live, to love, and be free
We each play our part, meaning you and me.
Teach them to follow what lies in their heart
For material possessions we shall soon part
The values of life are not kept in the bank
For soon they will know, to the depth man has sank.
Disarm them with kindness, make them aware
That the future is in their hands, we need to share.
Let them know this Earth needs to heal
That All things Are possible, where nothing is real.
Help heal our world, Let our children grow
With knowledge of Love.. Let hatred go.
Tomorrow comes around, to those who wait
Help Our Children, Let’s not leave till too late.
Things We Can’t Control
Many of us can get frustrated by the things we cannot control. I am often heard saying to people, Trust.. Trust in your instincts.. The idea of trusting the Universe is all right for those who understand the mechanisms behind energy, but many of us don’t know what this really means and we often have a hard time doing it, mainly because we worry over changes that we have no control over.
Mankind’s story is mostly portrayed to be about struggle, survival and control, instead of one of trust and co-operation within the Universe. And yet our lives are made up of both of these things.
I got into a debate on the net last evening on someone’s blog who supports something I do not… They had strong ideas as to why they supported this organisation, and I had strong views on why I thought it Controlling and uncaring. For every negative I could find as to why I so disliked Monsanto, they searched to find a positive and justification for their manipulative business behaviours such as saving the earth from starving. It was obvious they thought they were right and I thought I was right. Neither of us are either right or wrong, It’s all about our perspective.. And I could have gone deeper into the whys and wherefores.. But it’s no good me adding my energy or trying to control another’s views.. We are all of us entitled to perceive the world with the information we have gathered.
And that is what each of us do daily.. We are brought up within our perceptions of reality.. We build our societies and social infrastructure to help protect our communities and ourselves. This is how we grow and cultivate our civilization.. We create, build new technology and science develops ways and means of helping us evolve.. We have indeed made great strides in medicine.. And yes we live longer, both points my friend brought to my attention.. And yes there are many more mouths to feed.. But I still hold within my own perception that there are plenty of things we should not be meddling in , for when we medal within Nature we upset the natural balance. And GMO crops as I see from my perception are doing just that.
We all of us are contributing in creating the world via manifesting our dreams and visions in physical form with hard work and forethought. We do it every day through our endeavours of business enterprises, inventions, medical breakthroughs and Science. We need to take responsibility for the things in life that we create and control. And often it’s our Perceptions which we have been brought up with which need to be looked at deeper. For not all that we perceive is the Truth..
For me Monsanto is portrayed as the villain.. For the other person, they are the Hero’s..
I can take this analogy one step further as we see the battle between races, religions, nations. We each perceive them with the information we have had downloaded into our awareness..
There comes a point when we have to learn to step back from our Controlling minds instilling our beliefs upon others, and we must learn to TRUST and allow the Universe to take over. Requiring Trust requires us to let go of wanting them to turn out the way we expect, because sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t..
But one thing I have always found when I look back on my own experiences in Life.. We develop equanimity and grace as we learn to Trust that guiding force of the Universe. We need to let go of the Fear and Trust our own inner Peace to spread out into the world.
Qua Sera Sera, What will be will be.. And it will unfold exactly as it was meant to.
Let us learn tolerance.
For we are One!
Believing In a Better World..
EmilysQuotes.Com - miracle, dreams, fear, energy, inspirational
I am sure that many of us wonder just where we are heading in our world which on the surface may appear to be more violent and aggressive every day.. Despite all the horrors I still believe in Miracles..
For those who are regular readers will know, I speak often upon the Earth Changes and how best we can help bring in positive change into the world.
So instead of surrendering to the Fear and joining in the judgements of others. I remind myself of my own story and focus upon my own creations. We need to stay centred within our own Peace, and stand in our own Truth.
It is up to us who believe in Love and miracles that Change for the positive is possible. It’s up to us to spread love and not get embroiled in the Fear Games we are seeing being played out by the few.. We do that by Believing, and knowing that we live by our own choices.
I know I choose Love and Caring, Not Fear and Hatred..
I truly believe that eventually love can overcome all, because each holds within us a Divine spark of our loving creator. And no matter how deeply that spark is buried within Anger and Hatred, Prejudice, Greed or Programming, I know that deep within us all there is that need to be loved..
Lightworker’s around the world are connecting together in ever greater numbers, and amazing pieces of our puzzles are slotting together as synchronicity is at work, I know I am connecting here on WP with some beautiful souls who share in my dreams of Peace.
Humanity is experiencing a dramatic shift in consciousness, and as with all change, we have to let go of the old before new ways of being can materialise. The transition is likely to be a bumpy ride. But if we join in the fear and anger it will only amplify and attract more of the same.
I can sympathise with those who maybe feeling restless as change seems unbearably slow. We have long known about the ‘Shift’ well we are the ‘Shift’.. We are the ones who have to change our attitudes and our perceptions. But it is no good waiting for the outcome of our world to change in the distant future..
For WE are the Change,
and what we think and do now with our intentions and Actions, Are the outcome..
I will leave you with Dr Bruce Lipton’s thoughts on how our minds are programmed.. And what we need to help the next generation realise that they are Loved..
Let us  learn to once again CARE and Live from our Hearts as One..
In LOVE..
~Sue~
Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
