Are you in your Light Bubble?

Darkness cannot drive out darkness’ only Light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out Hate;
Only Love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr

I watched a TV programme on Sunday about Star gazing and a place in Northumberland where there is no light pollution in the sky.. The thousands of stars that twinkled down were phenomenal.

Since the beginning of time, humans have gazed at the stars in the night sky with awe, looking for answers and inspiration to guide them. We have grown up with stories of gods and goddesses, astrology,  and astronomy.

We have worshipped, wondered, and even projected ourselves out into space both physically and mentally  in an attempt to understand their magical essence. We know more now than we ever have about what those celestial lights are, how far away they reside. We spend Billions of $ and £’s in exploration to travel to another planet.. And yet we fail so miserably in attempting to Conserve and Protect many species  which go extinct daily. And we fail to see how we as Human Beings are destroying our very home, Planet Earth.

Humankind is most often presented as a story about struggle, control, and survival, instead of one of trust and collaboration with the universe. Yet, in truth, we need to adhere to both ideas in this life. We need to be mindful for  on the one hand, there is much to be said about exerting control over our environment. We created shelter to protect ourselves from the elements. We hunted for animals and invented agriculture to feed ourselves.

We built social infrastructures to protect ourselves and create community. This is how we survive and grow as a civilization. However, it is also clear that there are plenty of things that we cannot control, no matter how hard we try, these are the events around our globe which bring suffering, disease and disasters.  We forget  we are supported from an unseen force – a universe that provides us with what we cannot provide for ourselves.

So as I look to the Stars I also know that we have to take on Personal Responsibility. These are the things we can control in life.  But I also know that we need to Trust in the process of the Universe.. We need to manifest our dreams and visions. When we understand our very thoughts are bringing into our physical reality that which we focus our intent upon.. So I ask you to think carefully what Drama’s you are getting caught up within.

I know its not easy, but the more we focus upon our own Lights and live within our own bubbles we are helping bring Positive Change.. It all starts from within.. And we then must Trust, let go and allow the universe to take over.

As I look at the picture below I know we can all sprinkle our various Bubbles of Light around the world.. We do it by treating each other as we would wish to be treated.. We stop buying into Gossip and spreading the woe is me stories of doom and gloom..  Yes there are horrid things happening out there.. And I am as compassionate as the next. But if I am fearful or I spread doom and Gloom.. I am only adding more Darkness to the world.. So I choose to sit in my bubble and spread a little Love and Light..

Bubbles Of Light

Out into space I travel afar

Gazing back down from that far away star

The light is forever within my grasp

As I watch over the changes of my past

One by one my memories fall

As downward they tumble as I hear your call

Those spheres of light are orbs of truth

Memories recalled way back in my youth

Time trickles onward like the grains of sand

Of a place and a time in a far away land

When all were happy and all were free

And when bubbles of Light

Were just you and me..

Love your post, Sue … seems I live in a bubble within a bubble … bringing much peace for my people, yep, peacemaker is my name, smiles … but also desperately trying to find peace in my own heart … sometimes literally running on empty … drinking your words, sister … smiles … Love, cat.

Sometimes Cat we have only to look within the Mirror and utter the words we all long to hear.. ” I Love You”.. When you can do that deep within your eyes and laugh with your heart at the absurdity of our worries as we SEE the core of our being can be traced right back to those Stars and we know without any doubt that nothing can harm us,, not the Real Us.. And we shed our layers of conditioned upbringing and tare down the hurts we have carried that have held us down with wounds we self inflicted over and over . When we can do all of that.. You will know Peace in your own Heart and you will no longer run on empty.. But you will be SOoooooooo Full.. You will never stop smiling.. 🙂 ((((HUGS))))) my sister.. xxx Sue ❤ ❤ ❤ xxx

I watched a documentary called Grounded over the weekend and it opened me up more to what the Earth really is and how little we know about our home. You will like this film ❤

I had an epiphany last night about the earth, need more time to sort it out. You are one of leaders in helping raise awareness.

” It all starts from within.. And we then must Trust, let go and allow the universe to take over.” I hold on to these words, this knowing on days when the darkness seems so strong. I continue to believe, to know that yes, from within – to without – from responsibility to hope and trust. thank you for being a beacon in my life.

Light pollution is an excellent phrase. I live in the suburbs of NY yet we hardly see any stars. I think they are searching the galaxies to find a planet that humans can inhabit because they have stripped this one clean or almost. It is sad that people can be so cavalier. This is a wonderful essay and poem. If we all took a look at ourselves and make that change maybe we’ll have a chance.

Yes Kim.. It all starts with Us.. and I know I can change no one but myself.. So we each have to take personal responsibility and learn that to help our world we have to alter and help heal and live in peace an harmony within our own worlds…. I so appreciate your thoughts many thanks dear Kim. 🙂

I love that bubble poem! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I think that by being joyful, kind and compassionate we are changing the world! 🙂 I used to feel sad about the world when I was a teenager. I felt it was so harsh. But now I know that I cant help anyone by being sad, including myself and the angels, so I decide to focus on joy and beauty and try to look beyond the harshness to see the neglected softness inside it, and deal with it by reaching out to the softness not the harshness 🙂

This post reminded me of my dear father who passed away some twelve years ago but he always used to say that it was no chance that even the most “primitive” of tribes in deep jungles of Africa or South America, or desert lands… always looked up into the skies in times of need, in times of hoping…looking up at the Almighty…gazing at the stars was and is common to all mankind everywhere – in awe – in recognition of a Higher Being … God … but yes – it all starts from within for through the visions we see up yonder comes the drive to take personal responsibility for our Earth… enjoyed the post and the poem, Sue

Many thanks for taking time to read and express your thoughts.. I am pleased to have evoked a lovely memory of your father within its message.. ❤ Sue xx

This is such a timeless and universally applicable message Sue. There are those from Karl Marx to the Buddha, from Socrates to Tolle, who have stressed the need for each of us to put our own house in order so as to be able to assist the greater community of beings. As you so adroitly say, this is our great task – to bring about positive change from within – and from this change we may trust in the benevolence of the universe to let the story unfold from there, from that place of light and love.

A beautiful simplistic poem Sue, it describes exactly who we are, tiny orbs, small cells floating the Universe, insignificant but essential to the overall.
Orbs that bump into each other much like people who cross our paths in this life.
Orbs that merge as in marriage , yet still creating more Orbs, finally when all Orbs are Spiritually in harmony, we can create a oneness of all mankind that will bring love to the Universe.
Just ramblings Sue of this old mind.

There is no other way but to be in one’s own light bubble. Sue you have touched upon a great concern and that is the preservation of mankind and everything that exists on our beautiful planet earth.

As we continue to do our best to bring in awareness in the world it is important for each one of us to focus on ourselves. I feel that is the only way forward!

    Kindest regards🙏

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
