Colours are all around us.

Nature’s Colours

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Colours are all around us, but do we really see.

We take every thing for granted, and act so seriously

Have you ever stopped to think, if the world was black and white.

Close your eyes for a minute think! What if you had no sight?

Never to see a tree full with shades of green.

Never to know the blues of skies and ocean seas.

Come with me on a journey, back to nature and discover

Open your eyes see afresh a world full of colour.

Collecting sacks of yellow is our busy bumblebee.

Making lots of honey in his hide amongst the trees.

Surrounded by the flowers, whose colours are so bold?

Colours of a rainbow, now there’s your pot of gold.

Rose red, primrose yellow, oranges and apples green.

Tell me, who created all these lovely scenes.

Dazzling bright, smoothly blending, colours of the spectrum.

Every colour you can imagine is Gods almighty emblem.

Eagles circling with effortless ease, around a snow capped mountain

Reflecting sunlight upon a lake. Cascading like a fountain.

Wildlife in our forests before they cut the trees,

Tiger, Bear, and Panda and swinging Chimpanzees

Icecaps snowy beauty of Seal and Polar Bear,

Icebergs that comes crashing in the warming sunny glare.

The fish deep in the ocean, the salmon in the stream.

All full of beauty, much better than any dream.

So when you next open up your eyes.

Look and SEE you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

At the beauty, which surrounds us, and it’s absolutely free.

For which I pray to thank our Creator, most gratefully.

Oh Cat!… You overwhelm me at times….. I am only ME too.. I wrote this some time ago and revamped it with the photos .. I have lots more in my poem section.. And lots more I haven’t posted.
I am so happy you enjoyed so much.. And this way you get to see my garden… Although the photos were taken in 2010 Nothing much has changed except the flowers in their pots, which are way behind this year with all the rain we’ve had..
I sat thinking this afternoon at all the colours we have in our life and how very very lucky we are to see and experience this World with all its magical wonders.. And so I thought of the poem I wrote and added for a post.. Enjoy your Nap.. Catch you tomorrow.. ~Sue

Hey DW….I think as people begin to ground more they see more and appreciate more. So many are disconnected and ungrounded thanks to Haarp, cell phones etc. They have been destabilizing folks for a long time now. I am praying this exhausting, continuous pounding from the solar flares is switching DNA’s and waking folks up. I had approx.16 flare alert emails in my mailbox just today!!!! I have never been so exhausted but I am hoping for the best as far as change. I hope all is well there and you are settling back in from vaca…Take care…VK

Hi CR.. thank you,,, and the Allotment is pretty Soggy at the moment.. with all the rain-fall we have had..But things are growing, all be it slowly. We need the Sun now to bring things along,.. The Strawberries are going rotten, and Raspberries are so soft with all the rain they are just falling off.. Not good soft fruit growing weather.. But the Peas and Potatoes and the Onions are loving it…. Thank you for dropping in. ~Sue

Wow! This is a piece og great creative writng and I need to acknowledge you for that.

Unfortunately, our education and socialisation lead to development of your analytical and ‘numbers’ ability, more often than not. We think and act sequentially and lose the capacity to really ‘see’ the big picture and the myriad colours in it and the interplay.

Such pieces can really help in firing the neurons of our right brain…..

Hi Shakti, just getting around to answering and moderating my comment box.. Thank you very much for your wonderful encouraging comment. Let us hope as we move through these times of Changes Shakti, we will find more and more people opening their eyes and seeing the world of colour and lets hope they let the colour into their own lives and not live in the shadows of those who darken their thoughts.. Many thanks ~ Sue

You know, I like red colored thing under the cloudy weather. Flowers, vehicles, signals, posts, and girls wearing red clothes. Red color seems to me even more vivid under the gray sky in this season.

The big ‘Vase’ is a chimney wood-burner..And yes we have been known to BBQ upon it.. although unfortunately since this photo was taken it got knocked over when the garden lawn was being mown. and the Chimney broke..a shame as we had it for around 8 yrs … we are going to use as a planter now.. And have bought a Cast Iron one, which will not break or crack in the winter.. Thank you Sabina…

You have added a wonderful slideshow of colours here Sue and you are right I think that the most of us just get on with the everyday tasks of life without actually just standing back and enjoying the real beauty of our earth. We are certainly spoiled for choice and should take time out every day to feel the energies of life all around us.

I have squirrels and hedgehogs in my garden Sue, even the odd fox chooses to call by from time to time and last month I even spotted a heron amongs the many different species of birds that fly in and land beside the bird table. Yes I do feed them all, birds, squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes including the odd stray cat or three but hey they all deserve a little warmth from us humans and so this is my way of giving something back to our most fascinating wildlife 🙂

Have a wondrously nice rest of evening
Sue and thank you for a very nice offering 🙂

I’m happy that you feed the wildlife Andro, And love that you have Foxes visit. I have seen the odd one on our Avenue, and I know they are very close as they take the odd hen or two from those Garden holders who have them on the allotments where we garden.. But most now are securely penned in.. We do not get as many squirrels here, but have hedgehogs in abundance.. As we do every neighbours Cat too.. They know where to come to a love and Fuss.. as I miss not having my cats… So All are welcome and all remember their manners!!! 🙂 Thank you for your visit Androgoth.. ~Sue 🙂

What wonderful pictures, and I love your poem Sue! I’m always out walking in nature, and I often wonder how so many people I know can live without it. So many people never see or notice nature’s beauty. I feel utterly blessed to live so close to nature. I love the beauty, peace and tranquility – it’s like walking into heaven! 🙂

I am pleased you enjoyed Gabrielle, Yes we are fortunate living so near to country walks where we live too.. Within 5 mins we can be in lanes with hedges and within 10 mins we can be in the woods.. Always love my Wood walks.. Walking in Heaven is right.. so so much to see if one opens their eyes .. I often look in the cracks on the bark of a tree trunk and its amazing just how many little creatures live there.. Life is Wonderful when we notice the Small things.. 🙂 Thank you Gabrielle for you most welcome comment xx

I don’t know what I loved more your own Garden or the fields of Lavender of which I have a particular fondness. This was all so soothing, I am so glad you are here so I can simply bask, is that selfish of me?

Did you know in some cultures Dragonflies are good luck? I love them, I have one tattoo’d crossing a sunset.

A delightful writing Sue, made me think back to my days as an announcer on the radio for the blind, I never though of this aspect of beeing blind, not only are they afflicted with no sight but they miss out on the colours that go with sight , they are doubly afflicted, great writing and blog Sue

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
