Doodling Today

Today I had some free time, and just wanted to get my mind away from all the turmoil this world seems hell-bent on creating for itself.. The TV has been switched off, Music switched on.. and I lost myself in my own world of creation for a short time this afternoon as I got out my Pastels and did a couple of sketches.. As I just needed to clear a space in my mind.. as Its been getting clogged up in Studying various things to pass certain certificates within my new job… So it was good to just let my mind feel Free today as I enjoyed the sun and set about doing what I enjoy.. as I sketched and coloured in pastels instead of using paints today..

I should maybe  should have done an Owl and a Pussycat.. for then I could have recited  the poem Lol

But instead I Did a Rabbit and a Hawk.. ..

I have seen a few hawks catching the thermals recently over where I live as I’ve been out walking near by.. They are wonderful to see as they fly in circles effortlessly gliding upon the air currents as they gain height and to see the speed at which they dive is incredible as they pounce upon their prey..

Hawk

Rabbit

And the other day I did a quick  watercolour painting of a Tiger as they had been on my mind recently this was done simply from memory as I couldn’t remember quite how the stripes went.. Maybe I will attempt a Pastel drawing tomorrow as I have some more free time on my hands

Tiger

And Finally here is a pencil drawing of a Peregrine Falcon which I already added to my Art Collection Pages under Pencil Drawings..

So Just a few Doodles to pass some time today as I opened up my Art Box!… Much better than getting caught up with All the negative news… On the Box!…

And I Want to thank everyone for dropping by to leave all your wonderful comments I will be around to visit you all shortly..

One must take these breaks to keep positive and rejuvenate our spirits. I love these ‘doodles’ how beautiful they are Sue!!! You capture those eyes on that Hawk…the Red Tailed Hawk has always been with me on my journeys. It is my Guardian.
The eye of the rabbit is always cautious…you caught that.
beautiful work…I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Escapism is where I travel much within my mind of late Sheila, for at times I wish to shut out the world.. Even if for a short space as I loose myself within my art.. Wishing you well dear friend xx

These are beautiful, Sue, simply beautiful. I, too, like pastels and chalk. You should share more of your work. You are blessed with a special gift.

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
