Child Abuse; pass it on please!!

My name is Sarah
I am but three,
my eyes are swollen
I cannot see.
I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
what else could have made
my daddy so mad?
I wish I were better,
I wish I weren’t ugly,
then maybe my Mommy
would still want to hug me.

I can’t speak at all,
I can’t do a wrong
or else I’m locked up
all the day long.

When I awake I’m all alone
the house is dark
my folks aren’t home.

When my Mommy does come
I’ll try and be nice,
so maybe I’ll get just
one whipping tonight.

Don’t make a sound!
I just heard a car
my daddy is back

I hear him curse
my name he calls
I press myself
against the wall.
I try and hide
from his evil eyes
I’m so afraid now
I’m starting to cry.

He finds me weeping
he shouts ugly words,
he says it’s my fault
from Charlie’s Bar.

that he suffers at work.

He slaps me and hits me
and yells at me more,
I finally get free
and I run for the door.

He’s already locked it
and I start to bawl,
he takes me and throws me
against the hard wall

I fall to the floor
with my bones nearly broken,
and my daddy continues
with more bad words spoken.
‘I’m sorry!’ I scream
but it’s now much too late
his face has been twisted
into unimaginable hate.

The hurt and the pain
again and again
oh please God, have mercy!
oh please let it end!!

And he finally stops
and heads for the door,
while I lay there motionless
sprawled on the floor.

Secret Deal on Swine Flu.

Secret Deal on Pig Flu Vaccine.

 

The hype here in Great Britain over the Swine Flu is escalating, with news bulletins constantly telling us that cases are increasing dramatically, and not surprising if people are being diagnosed over the phone hourly, by  the NHS (National Health Service) Tel Help Line. People who man these phones, who most probably have no medical training other that reading off the symptoms list in front of them..

            My own great niece and nephew who are ages 8 and 5 were last week diagnosed over the phone, never seen by medical professionals and were prescribed Tamiflu each. Even though I tried telling the family that Tamiflu hasn’t been trialled enough.  The Mum relying on the Medical advice followed the instructions, like many more who are being led to panic..

Reading the Newspaper today, “The Sunday Express” I was pleased to at least read that the health editor Lucy Johnson also thought the same, as she used the headline “ Secret Deal on Pig Flu Vaccine”

She said that Drug companies have been told by our government that they will accept liability for any side effects of the flu vaccine when it is administered in the Autumn.

The Sunday Express reported Scientists claims that ministers were rushing out vaccine before it was safe. The Health Secretary Mr Burnham said he would never take risks with Swine Flu jabs, But despite his reassurances the Government has secretly promised to indemnify manufacturers.

Scientists have warned that the vaccine could have side effects that could claim more lives than the flu. Vaccine specialist Dr Richard Halvorsen said, “I am not surprised the Government has promised to protect manufacturers from claims over any serious side effect. Rushing the vaccine out at this speed without long-term safety trials means it is impossible to do anything but give a minimum safety test, We’re taking  a massive gamble if we intend to immunise the whole population. I wouldn’t have it or recommend it”.

Professor Robert Dingwell director of the Institute of Science and Society has advised the Government on managing the Flu pandemic. He said it should administer the jab only if it could be give a “Clear statement of a proper vaccine compensation scheme for anyone who may be damaged by it”. He added, “Any vaccine carries a theoretical risk of side effects. At the same time as the vaccine programme is rolled out a compensations scheme should be offered”

Earlier this month the Government announced it has ordered 60 million doses, enough to inoculate the entire population of Great Britain in a vaccine programme that would be the biggest for half a century. End Quote..

Also in the same article it stated that Exeter City Council in Devon may use 19^th century burial chambers beneath the streets to store the bodies of Swine Flu victims if the toll worsens, Again scaremongering..

In another article by Jade Sermon in the same paper the Sunday Express, her headline states “ Don’t Panic! Flu is a Terror Con”.. She highlights that some organisations benefit from scaring the living daylights out of us, Who could they be? 1, The Government, and 2 the Drug giants.. Roche Holdings ( Tamiflu ) and GlaxoSmithKline       ( Relenza)  The makers of the flu swine vaccines…and anti viral-flu drugs She said she is usually not one for conspirator theories, But this has left a bad taste in her mouth.. She suggests that there is no better way for  pharmaceutical  companies to get through a recession than to create a pandemic. The bigger the pandemic, the bigger the demand for drugs and bigger and better profits..  She says” you will not catch me or my family rolling up my sleeves”.. ..And that goes for me too..

Jade also reminded readers  that back in 1976 in America  when the government there predicted a Swine Flu epidemic after the death of one soldier, the epidemic never materialised but the fast track vaccine  that was injected into 46 million people resulted in litigation from those who suffered serious side effects to the tune of £3.5billion. The vaccine was also blamed for 25 deaths, two thirds of the claimants suffered neurological damage and many were left paralysed for months, never fully recovering..

Dealing with Hurt.

 

Dealing with Hurt

Many of us are hurting; dealing with pain is a fact that affects almost all of our lives to some degree. Since the hurt we feel may be a part of the experiences that have touched us most deeply, we are often loathed to let it go. It is sometimes  easier to keep our pain at our sides, where it acts as a shield that shelters us from others and gives us an identity—that of victim— from which we can draw bitter strength.

I was victim of feeling that my mother didn’t love me, She didn’t speak to me for 10 yrs,, And here I am still, 3 yrs after her passing, still holding onto that pain.. I realised on Monday when I went to have some acupuncture in the first course of treatment to try to help ease my own pains of living with Fibromyalgia.. FMS… I found myself in the consultation period telling the therapist about past illness and major events that I could recall in my life from childhood, And again and again the pain of my mother’s rejection hit home..

I work with individuals who have learning difficulties, and some of these people have led horrendous childhoods.. They too hold onto hurt, and perhaps can’t express that hurt as you or I.. And so they see and think differently from you or I.. Where you and I would express our thoughts with our words.. Some lash out with their fists, as that is all they were dealt when they were children.

However, pain’s universality can also empower us to use our hurt to help others heal. Since no pain is any greater or more profound than any other, what you feel can give you the ability to help bring about the recovery of individuals whose hurts are both similar to and vastly different from your own.. You can channel your pain into transformative and healing love that aids you in helping individuals on a one-to-one basis and spreading a tide of curative energy throughout the world… I try to do that with individuals I work with.. So you can then imagine my own hurt when I got assaulted by one of these individuals this week..  And once again I became a Victim..

But I needed to know that this experience also showed me something else, it gave me a sign.. It showed me that procedures within my workplace need to be re-evaluated,But it showed me once again how in a split second, Lives can be altered forever.. and it made me realise as I was comforting another service user who was upset by the attack on me, that there are many ways to use the hurt you feel to help others.

Your pain gives you a unique insight into the minds of people who have experienced trauma and heartache. You can draw from the wellspring of strength that allowed you to emerge on the other side of a painful experience and pass that strength to individuals still suffering from their wounds. You may be able to council individuals in need by showing them the coping methods that have helped you survive or simply by offering sympathy. A kinship can develop that allows you to relate more closely with those you are trying to aid and comfort.

Helping others can help your own heart grow stronger. In channelling your pain into compassionate service and watching others successfully recover, you may feel a sense of self-worth and optimism. To reach out to others can be the best way to declare to yourself and the world that your pain didn’t defeat you, and in fact it helped you heal. We are never given more than we can cope with, And with it comes our lessons upon our pathway.

The acupuncture was sharp, the assault hurt, but I realised that the pain I still carry is not be seen,  But it’s still  doing its damage.. FMS… Face My Self?.. I need to once again look in the mirror, and Let It GO…

Thank My lucky Stars..

Days never go as you expect them.. My Rotas pattern got altered yesterday as I was asked to go in early on my shift.. But was I was told I could take the time back at the end of my shift, So I was quite happy…. Little knowing that we would be short of staff today.. and I’d end up  working on my own for a time..

I can’t say too much as we have client confidentiality.. But during the time I’m on my own.. I got assaulted by a service user.. I was shook up, and I’m fine.. Bruised back, and bruised pride..  I usually have a great rapport with this particular  Male Service user. But he must have been having a Bad day… And took it out on me..

In a split second… life could have been so different.. As I had knives near me in the kitchen, a hot boiling pan on the stove.. So I thank my lucky stars I just got a bruise..

 So Just spare a thought for all those who support those who need our help.. As a lot of people have to put up with a lot of abuse.. and it’s not just those with learning difficulties.. And It is not just those who work in our hospitals, and in Mental Health who have to deal with those who are violent,  But our Accident and Emergency Services ,As well as School teachers, Bus Drivers and so on…

You could walk out your door  tomorrow, and your life could change in an instant..

I thanked God today… That I walked back through mine..

Poem: Snow Angel

 

Snow Angel

Once an Angel Flying high,

I weaved my magic in starlit sky

You swept me up and in wings held

And we flew to heaven and in magic delved

 

But then upon one Moonlit night

A shiver so cold, did halt my flight

For you let go and I fell so fast

And I crashed to Earth in arctic blast

 

My wings they froze in cold night air

And you heard not my cries of despair

My Tears they floated on the wind

White flakes of snow,

 

I hug myself, and rock with grief

I pray now for my own relief

I disappear and melt away

Hoping someday to find you.

 

In Summer Time I’m morning Dew

I cling to all the memories of you

In   Autumn too I stare

I call for you in  frosty air

 

For you went your way into the night

Behind the moon with Halo ring

Can you not hear the lament I sing?

 

And now Earth bound

Forlorn on ground

H1N1 Swine Flu

 

Today the News is full of the escalation in cases of Swine Flu..  The media stated that we have had 55,000 new cases in this week alone, while we in Great Britain have had 29 recorded Deaths.

Some of the medical profession saying that this is only a mild dose, while others say it could mutate ..

Today I went to visit my sister, who’s two grandchildren were diagnosed with Swine Flu on Tuesday..

I asked How were they diagnosed?.. she said over the phone via the NHS Direct line…

This is what baffles me…. How can one say for definite that one has Swine flu over the phone.. After ringing the doctor, who told her Not to come to the surgery, after she told them their symptoms, she then spent several hours being past from phone number to phone number as the NHS, asked for the symptoms, which were then hours later confirmed to be SwineFlu.  Her Grandchildren, my great niece and nephew are age 8 and 5, have been prescribed Tamiflu.  And have been told to stay at home for a week. And not to go out. They are fine by the way, but had some unpleasant symptoms.

How many of the diagnosed over the phone are really Swine Flu?? And even those in the Media were saying that many were ringing up stating they had the symptoms to stock pile Tamiflu!!! But hadn’t got the Flu…  So do we believe the figures??

I don’t know… But my instincts tell me that there is More to this Swine Flu than we are aware of..

I met a lady recently whose job was working in a funeral parlour..  She said that they had been asked how many deaths they could cope with, this was at the beginning of the year. As they expected a huge death toll in the Autumn and had been advised to increase their stock of body bags.. Interestingly she said just after October period every year, when the Flu jab inoculations for influenza are given, their intake of deaths went up dramatically.. As many elderly contracted pneumonia, after suffering reactions from the Vaccine..

I know this to be true as my own elderly Aunt had such a reaction, but she overcame it..   

I know this is not my usual Type of Blog post, But I don’t feel this virus accidently came into being, And I think it will have another helping hand on its way, As many of the  powers that be are saying this world is over populated.

Loch Lomond.. Scotland

Hello my friends..

 I have been away from spaces for a few days..

I was lucky enough to take one of the ladies I help support away to enjoy a holiday of her choice..

She chose Scotland. The below view is the view from our Hotel..

We had a wonderful 5 days, ..

Seeing the beautiful countryside of Scotland hearing about the history

 and breathing in ambience of peace as we sailed upon the loch.

We also took a train from Tarbet to Fort William..

 taking in the magnificent scenery over a 2hrs train journey.. calling in at various stations along the way..

 

We went to Glasgow on Thursday,

 and saw the architecture of old and new sitting in the red square where many statues are

This is where we ate our sandwiches..  

And then of course we couldnt miss Gretna Green..

This is the place sweethearts can come and get married as young as 16 legally

This Piper played a fitting end to a wonderful Holiday that had the lady I support smiling and

Laughing all week long.. even the weather smiled on us..

Misty lake

I am but a mist that floats in heaven’s sky

My thoughts tumble downwards, I ask not why

My heart once full and beating, now just an empty shell

My Love surrounds you always, can’t you tell?

I cried a lake of tears; I now walk upon to you

I fell back down to Earth,

Because I sensed that you were blue

I heard your cries from Heaven,

You pleaded with my heart.

For that’s where I first met you,

And yet we had to part.

I searched the Universe, until I heard your cry

At last my searching over, I laid my head and sighed

For My lover Long ago, I found him at long last,

He shines brighter than the Moon, My shadow now is cast.
