The long Climb
The climb was long, the climb was steep
The lessons hard did make her weep
But she made it to the top
She thought not of the bottomless drop.
She felt the rain, she knew as tears
But Faith was steadfast through the years
She gave her hand to one so true
He holds her heart for me and you
The Mists of time did lie below
His gift of Love he did bestow
A feathered wing did help her fly
As all around her now was sky
Her pain and sorrow no longer there
As into his embrace she flew to share
The glorious Kingdom of his love
An angel now she flew above
No longer in the realm of Earth
She knew his Song, she felt rebirth
Her love at last she felt complete
As she settled at his feet
Our Sacred Father who art in Heaven
Bless those who you have taken
And let your blessed Angel’s love
Surround them all like wings of Doves
So when you should see a feather small
Do not fear, it’s just his call
To give you power to build your wings
So you can fly Where Angel’s sing.
