Searching For Ourselves.. In the Silence of Self.

How many times do we search deep for ourselves

Through poetry and art, we often dig and delve

Into the depths of emotions, we explore and extract

Those personalities to enhance and the ones that we lack

~~

We can gaze into the mirror, reflecting back our age

As we capture in our mind, our youthful looking days

Never did I think as those childish eyes once shone

That age is but an illusion, for inside still I am One.

~~

My exterior shell maybe broken, cracked and somewhat worn

But the knowledge deep within, has always been from being born

For I am more than I, in the moment of this time

I am but One of many, whose memory of life shared mine.

~~

I cannot begin to explain, and until you ‘know’ you’ll never understand

That many times I have journeyed back to experience this land

We are the past and future, we are the victors and the foe

The layers we are gradually removing as we each are letting go.

~~

This rise has not been easy, and its climb is not yet done

As we weave our separate webs, each of us have cleverly spun.

The threads connect us all, affecting One and ALL

So, inward I will do my working to complete our memory recall.

Have you remembered yet? Who you are? And why you came? And why we are here?

I hope you have five minutes to spare to watch the amazing creation and the many faces Akiane saw before this final portrait was left as the finished painting.. And view it in full screen.

Please listen to what she is Saying

Have a wonderful Week.. As I leave my poetry for thought.

~Sue~

Well said DW….I wish I had a dime for every self help book I’ve purchased in my life, a dime for every hour spent on ‘digging’…A wealthy soul I would be, but money is just money. I would rather have the answers! May we all age with Grace and deep insight by reconnecting with ourselves! Have a great week my friend…Hugs….VK ❤

I like how well your words reflect Akiane’s process, both of you following the inner muse up, down and inward to reveal the silence and webs connecting us all. I have some weaving to do. 🙂

Wow, Sue! That poem. I can relate to it so well. Our outside may be “falling apart” the more we age but at the same time, our inside shines so much more by the time we experienced. We need to let this light flow into the world in order to strengthen that net, that positive influence. That video is stunning. Not only because of the artist’s patience and endurance to try it over and over again until she was fine with the result but also because of recording this all!

Yes, sometimes I wonder if life is mostly about remembering in spite of the veil/s. And once we do, we consciously begin to increase our knowledge of this and other worlds, if that is what comes, until we die and the cycle continues. Aloha, Sue ❤

Sue, you’ve painted such a wise and yet beyond beautiful poetry in this post.
I read this poem while watching the video link, and the woman’s voice. Her voice and your poetry brought a haven into my soul and heart. Wonderful. 🙂

Interesting post Sue. I enjoyed the video. The poem was very interesting. Yes, to look in the mirror and see your face as it ages – makes your mind say,” How did I get this far in my journey.” My mind tells me I am still young in my heart.

We always remain ‘the one’ inside irrespective of our changing physical attributions. Words of wisdom here, Sue, and beautifully said. The many identities we have inside us, blend together to form an integrity, the real ‘us’. The one and only ‘ohm’ or ‘I’.

Thanks for sharing the amazing video, I loved Akiane’s words… ❤

Gorgeous thoughts. During this time of popular appreciation of “fake news,” if only people realized that they have the power to dissolve it – through clarity and peaceful detachment. They would no longer be susceptible to manipulation.

Beautiful thoughts Sue. And it’s so true physically age indeed is an illusion whereas it’s the mind which can take us into our ageless inner self. The only way to access our inner self is through meditation and consciousness.

Thank you for making us think and look within. Kindest regards.

and sometimes you make it through each cut without a tear falling
love your thoughts and the video was incredible as her work seems to be more than a gift
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year

Well described Mary.. Oh so many layers have come away.. along with many past tears.. The eyes are now all cried out for particular layers, while I still discover more empathy layers I still need to work upon..
I had a lovely Christmas apart from a virus bug which niggled on a bit… But perfectly fine now.. I hope all is well with you too.. Sending special thoughts for your New Year, May it be blessed with your Freedom of Spirit to rise above daily challenges which will transport you to the land of dreams and fulfilment.. Along with an Abundance of Harmony.. xxx ❤ Hugs Sue xxx

Aww thank you Cynthia, I so appreciate all of your feed back to my posts.. Many thanks.. I feel now more than ever its time to get this message out there about our connection to one another.. When on the surface it may appear so many are pulling apart.. The thread running through many hearts at the moment is confusion and uncertainties.. Because deep down they are still searching to find themselves.. They think someone else will be the answer and come along and put things right..
When in fact its only WE who can put the world to rights.. When we put our own hearts in order..
Love to you my friend.. I cherish our friendship 🙂

Well said Ina.. too many today seem lost and look towards others to lead them and to find themselves.. I am so grateful to KNOW you.. and to what level you go to, to help the world around them wake up to themselves.. As you point out to us those who are strong and those who hold weakness.. If all the world were as wise as you, the world would be in a much brighter place today..
Thank you for those Hugs.. Its people like you who work tirelessly behind the scenes to expose the real World to our eyes.. For that and for all of those who can not say thank you.. I Say Thank you for all you do.. ❤ I really admire you and your work.. ❤

Great insightful post Sue, searching for oneself can be a lifetimes journey, for me it has been down that many paths and mazes, using every tool at my disposal, whether it be writing, reading, travelling for adventure or just simply the routines of every day living such as marriage and children, combine all these tools and experiences brings us closer to understanding just who we really are and the purpose of our existence.
    Through experience we gain Wisdom.
    Cheers Sue.

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
