Awakening to Consciousness

How do we wake up to this Consciousness?  Sometimes it’s as simple as being yourself, you can help the people in your life see how one person can make a difference by being a living example of consciousness, by embracing life without reservation. With Love and kindness.

When you communicate your views, You don’t have to be dogmatic. Allow the people to speak and allow them to ask questions. Respect their views..

We can all Ignite a spark of consciousness in others by ‘giving’.. It maybe a book, a medicine bag, or a beautiful crystal, that can get curiosity going, and prompt them to begin an exploration of the soul. I would always be handing my Spiritual books out to read.. I even sent one to Australia to help a Young woman I connected to via blog land some years ago..

You Can Heal Your Life! Louise Hay

Learning others how to meditate or chant or even Drum!, can put them on the path to consciousness while reducing their stress levels.

I started out exploring by joining a Meditation group and ended up running my own development group into Spiritual Awareness.. You will be amazed how many join once you reach out and who are eager to learn.

Learn to acknowledge the value in everyone you encounter, you can teach them how to value others. Sometimes, the easiest way to encourage people – even challenging ones – to respect others is to respect them first.

Challenging Discrimination Poster - Lindsay

Casually point out how everything is interconnected and that all living beings affect the world around them by their actions.. They may become intrigued when they learn of the power they hold.

Introduce your loved ones to conscious living in a light-hearted way. Meditate, Get in touch with nature, perhaps grow your own Food, and show them how wonderful it can feel to be truly aware and connected to the universe.

And Smile…………..

Love and Blessings.

What a message, the link I sent you of a podcast spoke about the power of listening. It’s a Buddhist lawyer talking about how to simply humble yourself to the point “of not knowing”, because only so can you actually listen to others. It takes time to learn how to master this however, because the tendency is to think that we know.

Truly powerful words, spoken with real compassion. It’s all too easy to focus inwardly and forget about the community around us, which is really the most important thing.

You got it DW !!! It seems essentially that we must live our lives being the best people we can be by following all of the laws of the universe, like giving instead of taking, accepting rather than judging, knowing truth instead of assuming what we know to be truth etc…If we live our lives not hurting others or ourselves, others will notice and hopefully follow. Lots for all of us to do in this new year! Thanks for sharing these points. They are critical….Blessings…VK ❤

Another title for this piece might have been something like ‘The Power of Generosity’ Sue. In simple and varied acts of giving, we hold the power to help our sisters and brothers realise their own deeper nature’s, as well as assisting our own realisation of the same. All of the great traditions stress the immense power of giving, how it helps free us from our ‘self’ and personal identity and into an awakening to consciousness, reality, liberation, God – call it what we will.

Thank you dear Sue, for your own unstinting and inspiring generosity.

    Hariod. ❤

I spent my life giving freely to others and paid a terrible price because those who would do me harm couldn’t understand kindness and could only see what was darkest in themselves… 😦

your post had a peace-filled effect on me Sue…I was reading some of threads that connect and have been surprised by their fluid flow, letting go yet connected still, perhaps for another lifetime, though I think Goddess heard my last whisper and I am released from a promise I made a long time ago….

your photo in your garden makes me smile, as you look contented and at peace…is that the definition of happiness? even in the calm there is an energy of passion surrounding you, you love your garden no doubt….. 🙂

Thank you for always knowing what I need to affirm? confirm? my train of thoughts that seem so chaotic and tangled these days … I enjoyed your words here….

Sometimes Lorrie its those dark places we have to visit which often bring about that ‘Shift’ in our awareness and within our consciousness.. Sometimes we are nudged from the depth of despair to climb ever higher from out of the Pits we have often wallowed in.. Learning that we can aspire to anything is learning not to put limits upon our selves within our own perceptions.. .. We are Co-creators after all 🙂 xx

I guess my children have it easy as they have always been taught that they are both spirit and body, but since Danielle died i have shared the same information with any member of my family who would listen and my Dad who always said there was no God and after this life we go down a hole and that’s it, now believes there is more, but God might be pushing it for him.
I teach others what i believe when they ask questions or when it feels right to do so, i don’t think i am pushy about it, but i wouldn’t agree with someone else if my beliefs were different to theirs but i would accept them as they are, well i hope i do. Then i guess i direct them to finding out for themselves if there is a God and answer questions as they come. But i believe that we are all connected and what i do will in some small way affect someone on the other side of the world.

My Dad did not believe in ‘God’ as the biblical sense Beverley either.. But he did believe in a Creator be that be what ever we give a name to that Ultimate Creative Force..
I was brought up with a mixed-mash of religious awareness.. Church of England, then Methodist Chapel.. I always believed in that Divine Power and then wandered into the Spiritualist Movement which answered a lot of my own questions..
I like you respect each others right to believe what ever feels right to them.. and would never ‘Push’ my philosophy down another’s throat. Or condemn them for being a non-believer unlike some I have met..
Your thinking is correct as we do impact with our thought and our actions someone else.. We are all of us connected via our Energy bodies and we cause ripples of either positive or negative energy which does affect others..
This is why I say we all of us are responsible for our actions.
Many thanks Beverley.. Hugs to you xxx

What a lively colorful blog you have!
About meditation, I found it adversely affecting my temper and tolerance levels. When I enquired, I was told that initial phase is like sweeping a room left undusted for years. So initial cleaning up will always bring all the dirt to the surface. If I persist through this phase, the road ahead is clearer.
    Looking forward to that phase!

Yes… Respect is something we are being taught to forget as we are encouraged be it intentional or not to take sides as we judge individual actions which are extremists and not the core of the whole of what they potentially represent… Within the UK we have a huge Muslim community.. And they are peaceful and a loving law abiding community who are reaching out with love to show us they stand with all of us against such horrors.. ❤

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
