Gaia ~ Earth Day April 22nd

Hello dear friends, ( this is the first time I’ve republished from my phone. But I couldn’t allow Earth Day to pass by without honouring our Earth Mother.. Below in black type was written previously, but it still stands true. I’m very busy right now planting, watering our large allotments. Which you will see in the side bar link to Dreamwalkers Garden.  I hope you are all well, and being creative in your personal spaces. Sending you all so much love, and blessings. I hope to connect back with you all very soon 🙏💕😘) ps. Have you noticed how clear the skies are since our lockdown, at least here in the UK they have been cloudless for a change!!! 😊

0*0*0

I have been rather busy over the last week as we have been planting out young plants and sowing seeds while we have had such good weather.  So, I have not had time to put together a post So I am refreshing  one  I made in 2013.  Today Saturday I was wandering through the halls of my reader to catch new posts that are in there from your good selves. Where I came across JoAnna’s post which reminded me it was Earth Day tomorrow as she hugged a tree and was joining ‘Grandmothers For Peace’, in the park later today..

Earth Day began in 1970 to bring awareness about Environmental Issues. Forty-Eight Years later and those Issues are not getting better, they seem to be getting worse.

In my poem and post below, there are many things we can do to change and help our environment, it is no good us waiting for change. We have to change our consumer habits and cut down on plastic waste, and really think how our actions are affecting nature.

Have a wonderful Earth Day tomorrow all of you. Apologies to those who read this back in 2013. But I think we need to hear the words again..

Enjoy the poem and the  top photos were taken by myself in Austria some years ago.. The Chemtrails were also taken by me over my home.

Love and Light.. Sue ❤

Oh Earth Mother oh Earth Mother we come to you this day

We come to you in gratitude to honour you and say

Thank you for your bounties and wonderful gifts

For your rivers and your mountains and desert sand that drifts

Austrian Mountains and lake 2008

Your forests full of life from insect to humming-bird

Thank you for all wonders like migrating wildlife herds

Of Wildebeest and Elephant whose numbers now decline

I hope you will forgive the errors of Mankind

4.1.1

I’m sorry for the pain, for the scars upon your skin

Forgive us for the wars we’ve waged,Mankind will never win

I wish I could take back all the poisons from your skies

And undo all the damage as we Humans tell our lies

Chemtrails6

I hear you creak and groan as you shudder and  you shake

I feel your falling tears in the rain and snow you make.

You show us with your storms the power you possess

Oh Earth Mother  sweet Gaia your beauty you have brought

Please forgive your children whose damage we have wrought

cyclonecatarina

Your beauty in each flower in the Seasons now all mixed

Have we stepped beyond the boundaries our damage never fixed

Oh Earth Mother our Earth Mother we come to you with Love

We come to ask forgiveness as we remember we are One.

On April 22nd is Earth Day  Earth Day was founded back in the 70’s, We are all now more aware how our planet’s climate is changing, each of us have witnessed weather patterns that have gone haywire. We see daily the pollutants in our skies, Rivers and Oceans.

There are many things we each can do to help the environment, as we recycle, and embrace greener alternatives.. In our own area School children have been on a clear up campaign collecting rubbish from the streets, parks and hedgerows . It’s also good to see the junior school with their own allotment  near our own growing their own produce learning how to grow their own food and care for plants and wild life.

One of the greatest things each of us can do which costs nothing and that is to respect Nature, take your rubbish home with you, Don’t pick wild flowers. If you fish don’t leave your line and hooks in the water.. Simple things like helping Mother nature along, planting Bee and Butterfly friendly shrubs and plants in your garden. Do not use insecticide, that affects the Bees..

Encourage Hedgehogs who keep your slugs down by leaving gaps in your garden fences.  Many little things go a long way to helping Heal the World..  Respecting our environment in which we live and learning to respect each other will go along way to creating a better future for our Children to live and grow in our world..

    Well said my friend…As always! Happy Earth Day to you as well and everybody here. I keep reading articles about areas around the planet where animals have started moving back in because there are no humans there now! Ha! It’s good yet scary to see everything getting cleaner without us dirtying everything up, as we can now viably see our impact on the earth. terrible! I don’t see that changing greatly any time soon unfortunately. Greed pushes the agendas and they don’t care about what they do as long as their pockets are full…Stay happy and dirty while you get the plants tended! Lucky you. Too cold here to do anything still. 20’s at night. Have a wonderful day and stay well….Hugs to you dear friend and hi to hubby….Loved seeing the hedgehog again 🙂 Take care and much love to you….VK ❤ ❤ ❤

    A very peculiar day to celebrate the earth.Instead of being in the parks and forests, we have to watch from afar, if we can, how nature feels calm that humans do not disturb it at all. Everything has suddenly changed. Even in Santiago de Chile, where I live surrounded by concrete, cougars have appeared walking at night through the streets since we have a forest, very remote, but within the city. How this could happen is still not explained.
    In short, we already know that this will not last long when it returns to normality and selfishness begins to emerge again and we return to mistreat nature.
    I like your photos. I hope they are well at home.
    My greetings
    Manuel

    Me gustan tus fotos. Espero que estén bien en casa.
    Mis saludos
    Manuel

      At last I got into the translation tool….I agree entirely dear Manuel… Why is nature not the best place for healing?? When done so with common sense… It is wonderful that the animals are venturing out from their wilderness into the quietness of towns and cities…
      While I think there may well be other interests into this pandemic situation… The animals and Mother Nature is able to breathe again.. As for normality, I doubt things will ever return to how they were…
      But we have to take each day as it comes and hopefully we are seeing people unifying … I have witnessed my curtious exchanges with passing strangers on my walks to and from my allotment garden plot… And people seem to be sharing more…
      Lets hope this is opening more hearts than closing them..
      Thank you so very much Manuel….
      Much love and gratitude your way… I hope to be visiting you and everyone back very soon.. ❤
      ~~~~
      Finalmente llegué a la herramienta de traducción … Estoy totalmente de acuerdo, querido Manuel … ¿Por qué la naturaleza no es el mejor lugar para la curación? Cuando se hace con sentido común … Es maravilloso que los animales se aventuran a salir de su desierto a la tranquilidad de los pueblos y ciudades …
      Si bien creo que puede haber otros intereses en esta situación de pandemia … Los animales y la Madre Naturaleza pueden respirar nuevamente … En cuanto a la normalidad, dudo que las cosas vuelvan a ser como eran …
      Pero tenemos que aprovechar cada día como viene y esperamos ver personas unificándose … He sido testigo de mis intercambios corteses con extraños que pasaban en mis caminatas hacia y desde mi parcela de jardín … Y la gente parece estar compartiendo más. ..
      Esperemos que esto abra más corazones que los cierre.
      Muchas gracias Manuel …
      Mucho amor y gratitud a tu manera … Espero volver a visitarte a ti y a todos muy pronto … ❤
        The most remarkable thing about this quarantine, in my opinion, is that we have learned to see life differently in terms of nature. Now they are all eager to breathe fresh air, to see the greenery and to stroll through the parks. We have learned that if we mistreat her, we will not have her with us. As for daily life, when we meet again, it will be very strange not to do the old thing. But we have to abide by the rules to have health.
        I am pleased to greet you again and know that you are well.
        Receive my hug with much affection
        Manuel
        Lo más resaltante de esta cuarentena, a mi parecer, es que hemos aprendido a ver la vida de manera diferente en cuanto a la naturaleza se refiere. Ahora todo están ansioso de respirar aire fresco, de ver el verdor y pasear por los parques. Hemos aprenido que si la maltratamos, no la vamos atener con nostros. En cuanto a la vida diaria, cuando volvamos a vernos, será muy extraño no hacer lo de antes. Pero tenemos que acatar las reglas para tener salud.
        Me complace volver a saludarte y saber que estudes estén bien.
        Recibe mi abrazo con mucho cariño
        Manuel
    Beautifully written and expressed, Sue, on such an important day. I had no idea today was Earth Day until I started reading some posts. Yet I believe what I posted today does honor Mother. May what we are witnessing now as in the clean fresh air and more birds and animals being seen, may all this more continue as those who have the power to do so, make changes. May those very ones make new laws and may brilliant scientists come up with a way to keep our planet clean. May eyes be open during this time of “crisis” and may hearts start beating to the heartbeat that makes us all One ….. LOVE. Much love to you! (((HUGS)))!! xo
    Beautiful images and words, Sue. With all of this free time, I’ve been getting to know my property in the woods and envisioning how I will inhabit it. No lawns or landscaping. It’s funny how so many who move to the wilderness need to make it behave. I’m pruning trees and clearing brush, but fallen trees and leaves will be left to decompose and nourish the soil. I’m going to plant dandelions, clover, and other wildflowers for the rabbits that live in my woodpile. I’ve made brush piles for grouse and other creatures to live in. All have a purpose and are welcome.🙂 Wishing you much joy in your garden.💜
      That sounds a wonderfully beneficial time spent in reconnecting to your property Julie.. Haha… Learning to live in balance with the wilderness, yes.. especially the true wilderness…. Now I do try to tame my weeds.. LOL….. simply because they sap the daylight and energy from my crops.. But we never use any chemicals or pesticides.. Just our hands… in pulling them… Knowing their seeds are plentiful as they return again and again and AGAIN… haha..
      Your vision of planting sounds wonderful… I allow a nettle patch to grow behind our sheds for the butterfly variety that lays its eggs on the nettles.. Also in Spring the young shoots are good for nettle tea… Wildflowers I have a patch I set purposefully in front of the allotment sheds 🙂
      Thank you Julie.. you have no idea the amount of JOY our garden brings us both…. We are so grateful in this new lockdown time to go and spend hours in their away from everything… And Yes ALL have purpose.. Even these difficult times.. ❤
      Much love my friend and take care of you… ❤
      So right Renee… Nature should be in the hearts of everyone of us ALL of the Time.. Because we are inseparable.. Big smiles with the hedgehog.. unfortunately this year we have not seen one in our garden.. Each year these dear little creatures get less and less with road kill, as they curl up in a ball and freeze when disturbed or scared… We also have frogs in our pond they too keep the insect, slugs etc down… Nature really takes care of itself if we Humans leave well alone…
      Sending Hugs your way and hope all is well with you too Renee…. ❤ Keep painting that beautiful artwork my friend.. ❤
        Saturday was a shoe and sockless day, but the weather turned Sunday and I have had my wool socks on since. You should hear the wind howling around the house. Still glad I have not uncovered those flower beds. I listen to the national weather service radio every morning (I’m a geek, I know), so I am not lulled into a false sense of security by one day of sunshine. Hugs back, Sue. I hope Mother Earth can forgive us and that we as a species will learn to respect her and that more of will appreciate her abundant gifts. I’m glad you are enjoying your garden. Mine is smaller but exciting! Love and Blessings to you, dear Sue. ❤
    I don’t recall reading this back in 2013 Sue, but well worth reading then as now, your words are explicit and a lesson for all Hope Mother Earth will forgive mankind and be able to reverse the damages done, but when she does I think she will put in place more safeguards against mans violations for the future. Kind regards.
      I am sure she is giving mankind a kick in the pants right now Ian and this is but the warning shot… Man will do the rest to eliminate his species with the cure..
      Sending huge hugs your way dear Ian, and sending well wishes to Ana.. Stay safe also.. ❤
Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
