Connection

Today I was directed via a reblog to this wonderful post by Kris Cunningham.. I felt so drawn to her message within her post as we relate it to what is going off in the World right now, especially across the Pond in the USA.. That I had to re-share it here..
I do hope you go and read the post in full and let Kris know your thoughts..

Please ,Please watch the video, I had tears as it moved me.. We are United in that we are ALL of us Human BEings.. We are not all tarred with the same brush of those who give us labels.
WE now are uniting to stand in Unity for what is Right..

Today is the beginning of the Year of the Rooster.. Let us make our wakeup call be heard worldwide.. WE stand for Peace and Equality, Not Racism and Segregation

The Panama Adventure

What do we need as human beings to survive? food, shelter, reproduction, connection. We are social beings. Babies literally die without human touch and connection. Adults don’t do well either, mentally or physically, without human connection.

I saw this video recently HERE. Amnesty International conducted an experiment. They put refugees from Somalia and Syria in front of individuals from Europe and the instructions were to just look into each others eyes for four minutes. They were hoping that this looking at each other would be the start of a connection and a realization of shared humanity. As you will see, it worked.

I have said many times that I am so happy here in Panama, and the main reason is the people. I feel like they really SEE me. When they look at me, talk with me, and smile at me I feel that connection. Of course I had…

This was so beautiful and moving Sue. I certainly had tears in my eyes. It’s so true, that it’s hard to resist human connection. So much of that has been lost since the digital era came along and people don’t even look up at one another passing another, addicted to their phones. The world has to be reminded to look up and connect. Thank you! ❤ xoxoxoxo

I totally agree Debby.. and yes no one makes eye contact much anymore.. I notice this loads when out walking on hikes.. Those who come out of towns whom you know are enjoying a walk.. Yet still have mobile phones in hand.. 🙂 Both my hubby and I often sort of play a game.. Who will look up and say hello back.. and who continues to look ahead almost afraid of these friendly strangers who say ‘good morning its a lovely day isn’t it?’ We have got very good at guessing who will answer us back.. 🙂 lol.. Sad isn’t it.. That we have lost that connection..

It’s the same in the USA. People pass each other without a greeting or even a look. Here in Panama though, this Latino culture is totally different. Everyone greets everyone all the time, on the street, in a waiting room, a bus, a store, just everywhere and when someone knows you, they will often shout or whistle from a distance to make sure you know they are saying hello. I love it and try to take it with me when I’m back in the US even though I get many odd looks because of it.

Omg Sue, the video brought me to tears, along with many of the participants. When we look into each other’s souls, we cannot deny our common humanity and that we all derive from a common source ~ The Divine Essence. Experiencing each other in silence for only a few minutes does more than speaking could throughout a lifetime. Wondrous. Astounding. Beautiful. Thank you so much for posting 💖

You and Debby both had tears.. along with myself.. Yes I can not help but put myself in another’s shoes.. its heart rending to think what some of those Syrian refugees have gone through to leave all they know behind, to come to another country where they do not speak the language often.. How would I feel if I had to flee.. I would want someone to look and See ME for ME, not the labels others have put upon us..
      Thank you So much Tina..
      Love and hugs xx Sue

    You are right, Sue.
I had pre-scheduled one of my mini motivational posts several weeks ago… “The value of nonsense”… Now I wish I had not because after reading today’s headlines (every time I think I can’t be more amazed, I’m proven wrong.), all I can do it think we have far too much nonsense (of the bad kind).
Have a thriving Thursday. Mega hugs!

Hi Teagan.. Yes I can totally relate to that my friend.. I will be visiting your thriving Thursday ((late as usual.))

The political world is as I said to another blogging friend, its in a bit of a cauldron right now with things boiling over and steaming away.. Yet I believe we are all going to see our own various ingredients added to the mixture before long.. A good broth takes time to simmer.. And those who are awaking to their cooking skills are at last sharpening up their words…
Sending much love right on back my friend.. Hugs Sue xx

Gosh, the video is so powerful, so moving. The one beautiful thing about being in the US at this time is seeing so many wake up to these realisations and uniting in compassion and love to stand up for what is righteous. Despite the people in power and the smaller number who support them intent on division, the feeling of unity is truly growing here. These kinds of videos where people can see the human faces behind the title of ‘refugee’ can only help that cause. Thanks for bringing attention to it.x

Yes which is so wonderful to see Laura.. And sometimes its these very things which awaken people to what is right.. I firmly believe that this movement to wake up and unite for what is right will happen.. And those who have risen to power right now, may not realise just what a movement they have ignited. For the Lightworker Warriors are now all waking up to join hands and are no longer staying silent in the wings.. We live in interesting times..
Thank you Laura for passing on your views.. I hope you will go and tell Kris your thoughts too.. For the post is hers reblogged here. 🙂

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
