Shame on ME!!!

Shame on me!

This is for all my lady friends out there in space land. This last week I have been without a kitchen.. As mine has been ripped out to be replaced with a new one.. Lovely I hear you say, to have a new kitchen.. Well I thought so too, having seen the plans and the computer enhanced pictures of what my new kitchen would look like.. But it’s been fraught with problems, and what should have taken a week. We are now coming into the second week and I have been without water and a sink in the kitchen for 6 days.. And it’s looking like it will be Thursday next before I am sorted with water in the kitchen due to the water board dragging its feet..

So in the mean time I have to fill the kettle from upstairs and wash all pots in the hand basin in the bathroom upstairs, and go and eat out every day as we have no cooker installed as yet either.

And then I caught myself moaning..

Stop!

And I stopped myself right there!!

For I saw in my mind’s eye, young children being carried on their mothers backs while they had huge plastic containers of water balanced on their heads, as they walked barefoot across parched earth to find their nearest water hole, if any were still to be found..

And I said thank you Sacred Father… for blessing me with clean water.

I saw in my mind’s eye, Children who’s bellies were swollen, and lips that were cracked and flies in the corner of their eyes..

And I said thank you Sacred Father for the Food I eat, regardless of how or where it is cooked.

And I saw in my mind’s eye tin huts, people huddled together for warmth, I saw them with the sky as a shelter, and a sheet tied in a knot with all their worldly goods inside..

And I said thank you Sacred Father for the roof over my head, and the means I have to keep warm.

I saw in my mind’s eye adults and children with no limbs, who walked the wrong way that day treading on a land mine. I saw the sick dying with no medicines or medical aid.. I saw the orphaned children,

I saw the terrible conflict of war..

And I said thank you Sacred Father for my mobility, For my health, for my family, and for the Peace I experience..

And do you know what….

What’s Two weeks or even a month, without a Kitchen!

Count your Blessings every one!

Dreamwalker

Good for you, Dreamwalker.  This is a trick of relativity I have uesed for years, and it ALWAYS WORKS.  Whatever happens in my life, I am still one of the lucky ones.  May the unlucky be blessed, may the hungry be fed, may the cold be warm tonight, and may all those going without, find comfort…….

i had a new kitchen done last year, but it wasn\’t put in professional- so i had the big tent in the garden for the dining table and chairs, attached to the house, are brick built sheds where in each was my fridge, microwave, and the kettle ( freezers are there already) and the tap in the garden and the cooks tent to wash up in – this was prob for about six weeks!

AWWW very good Dreamwalker, yes yes yes, this is so true………………… How much we take for granted the clean running water, and even the fact we have utensils to cook and eat food, and we have such things as a washing machine and tumble dryer in our kitchen.. These people would give thier right arm to have such luxuries.. Because lets face it people.. LUXURIES THEY ARE….
ALWAYS GIVE A THOUGHT TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT LIVING IN THIS WORLD.. BUT MERELY SURVIVING….. I KNOW ITS SOMETIMES HARD WHEN OUR OWN LIFE IS HARD, BUT IT MAKES YOUR OWN LIFE SEEM SO MUCH A BREEZE..
ONE DAY THESE PEOPLE SURELY WILL FEEL HOW IT FEELS TO LIVE…… THIS I DO PRAY FOR… THANK YOU DREAMWALKER FOR SHARING THIS.. I HOPE YOU ARE WELL.. HUGS AND WARM THOUGHTS FROM ME TO YOU WITH HEART…xxx

Oh yes, we are the lucky ones. When we pulled house down to two original rooms I set up
old kitchen in the garage, we lived like that for 3 months and it was good fun, like camping out.
Handle it, its just that we are so used to convenience….and this sort of thing makes us appreciate what we have.
    Have a great week.

Sometimes we get consumed by our own thinking and our own desires and forget  how we got here. It is our makeup that we allow ourselves to think like that. It is even greater when you see the evil in your own thoughts.

It must be too difficult without a kitchen. But when you saw that is a beautiful one,
it will be worth the trouble. Be patient, lol. Love and peace, Zeynep xx

Dear Dreamwalker you are so right. We are so used to things we have that we are having troubles when we don\’t have them or can\’t use them. I was without internet only for one day and was very irritated. Pfff … Thanks for reminder! 🙂

If only this writeing could go all around the world, i remind myself daily about what i have in life and thank also for who i am.
As a very little girl the salvation army gave me and my brothers sisters christmas, my mum starved to feed us in between..only weeks earlier we were comfortable, then my dad walked away on us all.
Then i grew up with eveything material i could have ever wanted, yet that was it..nothing more..not even a cuddle..no love..
At seventeen i had no home because the troubled family life got to much, but i still held my head high and tried to help those worse off,  now im comfortable again.. but i still will keep on giveing and doing what i can for others, even if it just means forgiving those that hurt me so badly..they also taught me so greatly.
People say my eyes tell a million stories..but i say back, my heart can tell a million more and give so much more…

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
