“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
~ Richard Buckminster Fuller ~
Upon my bookshelves are many books written by Gregg Braden, I have always found his wisdom and logic have resonated deep within my own inner beliefs.. He manages to explain and speak from his heart in words we all understand. Explaining many Scientifically based facts. His Books never disappoint.. He states in his latest book ..
““There’s a time when every crisis can become transformation; when simply surviving can become joyous thriving. In our lives that time is The Turning Point. In our world that time is now!”
The Turning Point is Gregg Braden’s Latest Book. I urge you to listen to his words in the Video below . Are you waiting for the the world to right itself ? Is your world falling apart? How can you fix it? And are you changing the way we now Live in our world.? Or are you burying your head in the sand? What are you doing to Change your world for the better?..
What footprints are you leaving?
We came here to be the Change..
We are the Change
And we have to start and see how we can help bring Positive Changes into our world.. Be that from consuming Less, re-cycling and conserving energy to growing your own food and being more self-sufficient. To embracing each other in kindness and giving of one’s self instead of always taking.
If you have Five minutes then listen to this short Video, And ask yourself Have you reached the Turning Point of Change?
And if you have How do you see yourself creating the changes we all need to embrace in the world for it to Change for the Better?
Blessings
and thank you for reading
~Sue~

Since my life is now so peaceful, especially since my user so-called friends are leaving me alone, I am content to let each day pass un-mourned.
I have fought a battle of twenty three years for no other reason than there was money on offer and won.
As a shaolin monk once told me: “The attacker must always overcome. The defender must merely survive.”
I have survived. 🙂
Love and squishy hugs! 🙂

Yep – the new normal is all around us, especially with children or grandchildren or both around – it takes some adjusting to see and acknowledge the new normal … I guess we change when the need to arises and I totally agree with seeing the positives in change and not the “difficult”

yes you are right Inavukic, Change is inevitable, for without change we stay static, But its how we change and what we change into that matters… We need to promote the right ingredients into change.. Ones of compassion, caring, and giving and sharing.. Not one that is based upon control and greed.. We also need justice not judgement, and Peace not Profit.. So many things we each need to address within ourselves… for us to enable the world not to tip in the negative spiral.. We each need to look deep within our own reflections and address our own faults… I know I am still working upon many of my own 🙂 .. Blessings Sue ..

The Time of Change, Sue just to say those words in the mind opens new horizons, if you’re prepared to grasp that change and do something with it. No good burying your head in the sand, for the signs are everywhere from weather changes to the change in outlook society wise. … If you stop and think about the knock on effect your decisions/actions are creating, then take that a step further and you’re changing your outlook on a lot of things. For me the whole Care-less attitude needs to be conquered, for this road leads to a breakdown on all that we need to grow as a species. Care-more is so much better, methinks. Lovely blog and video my friend, pointing out what needs to be seen/accepted/done so well. Love and light. always xPenx

This reminds of when updating something on the laptop…uninstall the old version first or disaster is sure to strike! The update won’t install…if it does it doesn’t work and neither does the original. Get rid of the old before attempting to bring something new in! Kind of similar to what you’re saying!! xx

Fuller was certainly a genius. He hoped for an age of “omni-successful education and sustenance of all humanity. I think he was right when he said that change comes after the previous model has become obsolete..Change in a radical and genuine sense implies building a new paradigm from the ruins of the older models… That means starting from zero..
Thanks for sharing this interesting post, dear Sue…
Best wishes and happy week ahead, Aquileana 😛

Your “new normal”….. I’ve been hearing a lot about this lately from doctors… and, I admit I’m not too fond of the term. I don’t want a new normal for me. I want my old normal back… I want to be better than my old normal. To me, the “new normal” sounded like accepting less than what I wanted. I’m not ready to accept less than. I refuse. But, I know what we want isn’t always possible… and, to hear the way term used in this manner , a more positive way, was good. The “new normal” is fine, as long as I can feel like it’s better than… not less than… ya know?

Some times Samantha we are shown through the storms in our lives just how we can turn the abnormal into normal… And once we set our chin, as I know you will have done.. Anything is possible.. So you then create the possible from the impossible..
I do not know what your storm in life has been, but I sense it has tossed you upon some rocks… Rocks become our strength.. as we learn we can climb them.. to stand upon the top, we then learn to fly… I hope Samantha you can turn your ‘New Normal’ into the best your life has been… Like this post cast another perspective upon your outlook, we sometimes need to look at life through a different perspective.. . Hugs to you xox and Much love your way. Sue

I don’t know Gregg Braden but i have been found to use this quote badly, which fits with what you are saying here, ‘Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of staying the same.’ Tony Robbins (Goodreads)

Sue from the first quote to the video at the end of your post this resonated with me. I ask myself daily if I am making a difference. Am I living by my values, am I passing on my knowledge and respect for the earth and all living things. When I die I want to be remembered as authentic and having a deep caring for all around me.
