~♥~
As the trees release their canopy letting go to float
The leaves like fallen time drift from hollowed Oak
Decay is part of Nature she never yet stands still
As birds and beasts hunker down to face the winter’s chill
~♥~
Samhain’s perfect gift is a time to release the old
Let go of those old grudges with the cobwebs of our souls
Collect that inner wisdom that is stored within the heart
Harvest new possibilities, now is the time to start
~♥~
So, stand firm in your roots and hold steadfast like the tree
Accept the Wheel is turning, though at times we may not see
Each Season has its purpose to regenerate and sow
Change comes to the World so that All our souls may grow.

Thoughtful autumn poetry and very beautiful images. I believe you are painting and drawing a lot now. Your works looks very suitable for texts and they are inspiring on their own.
This time of the year is small bit sad and small bit lazy, at least for me because it takes time to get used to early darkness.
Have a good weekend, Sue!

Happy Samhain to you Sue. The cycle of the season all have gift to offer but fall above all is my favorite and as your delightful poem state to let go and let die which is not useful to us. A time to let fallow for the winter coming with all it renewed birth in the spring. Again wonderful poem. Stay smiling/

Could decay be so enchanting? Often this thought reverberates around me Sue, when I look at Mother Nature shimmering in her ochre and crimson robes, smiling despite giving all she has! I wish people could listen to your message of letting go “old grudges with the cobwebs” that seem to sheath all the love within our soul.
Many thanks dear friend for a soul-stirring message through your beautiful words. Stay blessed!

Aww Bless you Balroop for your most positive message. Yes Nature despite all we do to her, in in her moments of shedding, her colours shine on through.. For she knows it is but a cycle until the renewal of Spring..
Humankind at the moment is in that moment of shedding. I pray our Spring revival will be as beautiful. ❤ xxx

I think I need to devise a better system for coming over WHEN your beautiful posts come out. Two days ago!? Ack! Hehe. But I am here now and I’m *so* glad for it. 🙂
Your incredible poem speaks to the end of the growing season, to the oncoming winter. Ah, we’re on the same wavelength! Samhain is on my mind, as is Halloween, and Day of the Dead. I am writing a post about all three and tying them together to create our own traditions from those of the past. I’m having some fun researching the history of all three occasions (though I’m already well-familiar with them…I’m refreshing my mind). The school where I work will have an all day fire with sage going on November 1 and each class or individual can visit to remember loved ones.
And now I want to create my own tradition – husby and I are going to make our own sacred fire on Wednesday, too. I thought about inviting family, but J was thinking they might not quite understand. Ah, well…I’ll write about it and those who are so inclined can benefit. 🙂 But, yes. We’re going to do our own Halloween tradition, a little Samhain tradition and a little Day of the Dead tradition. And these are all beautiful things. Hmm…may I reference your poem in my post? It’s so beautifully said, and so poignantly captures the essence of this time of year. Sending you big hugs, sweet friend! Big, big hugs! ❤

HoooOOOOOOwwwWWWWwwLLLLooooooo Sue! Better late than never I guess! I’ve been busy learning to let go of grudges and trying to collect wisdom to deal with the issues that have been ultimately leaving me out on a limb 😉 A very timely post for Wolfie 🙂 It is definitely a season of changes and the time is certainly ripe for them. Changing of ways and attitude have been the name of the game of late. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s not always obvious to the bearer of a grudge just how harsh and intimidating they are coming across to others, as. It’s surprising how, once you realise this and start to cultivate a kinder and more caring attitude, even in the face of adversary and towards people who really are being unacceptably dominant and controlling, and bullying less confident people in your midst, how much those type of people can change too and respond positively to a change of behaviour coming their way. The wheel is turning and each season definitely has its purpose! Thanks for reinforcing my convictions as I seek to rein my Wolfie nature in somewhat! 🙂 xx

Haha… Yes a growl often generates a returning snarl.. 🙂 And I learnt early on Wolfie in my working career that a calm exterior of respect, also reaped back a mutual respect and some semblance of calm.. And I was often called upon to be the intermediate when troubled brewed as I was renowned to be fair. 🙂 And would listen to both sides.. lol…
So happy this post resonated Wolfie my friend, and hope your efforts are returned ten fold.. ❤ Love and Hugs my friend xx ❤

Having the same problem now Sue! Just running around attempting to catch up but it’s confusing when I did some on the phone and some here on the PC and they don’t seem to synch too good….so it’s possible I’ve already replied to you ages ago…but probably not! Had a bit of a health scare – turned out to be false alarm but involved referral to A&E and loads of medical tests to learn this, and now I’ve got a cold of all things! I don’t do ill unless we’re talking colds lol so it was very traumatic! I don’t do hospitals either! And never had all the nasties done that were necessary either! Wolfie was not amused!! 🙂
