There is a saying here in the UK.. I am sure some of you have heard of it.. ” Where’s there’s Muck there’s Money.”
Well I can assure you I didn’t find any Gold Nuggets, but this Muck is pure Gold in that it is rich with nutrients the Earth needs for next years growing.
And Like our gardens, so too our Minds and bodies need to be maintained and offered food for thought.. All too often we can rush here and there and neglect to care for ourselves.
We need to remember to clear away the clutter and the debris which our minds all too often collect. As we ‘Weed’ out the Muck of those negative thoughts which stops us operating at our best.
All it takes is a shift in our awareness, and to be mindful of what we are projecting out. I all to often hear people moan and groan, and yet when we compare our good fortune to others around the world, I see nothing much to complain about, and plenty to be grateful for.
If I plant something in the shade, and over water it, it soon shows me its not feeling well, and will soon rot and die.. Likewise if I plant something in the sun and forget to water it, It too will whither and die..
We need balance, in all things as well as in our lives . And so at times our Lights can get blocked, dimmed by the shadows of negativity which filters through into our lives from various outside sources.
That is what I always do, connect to Mother Nature, a change of scenery helps alter your perspective on Life.
And that’s just what I have been doing all week. As I clear out, dig in and Create..
But we must also remember to take some Quiet time for ourselves, relax and find our centres.. The Source is always there for us, but we can often forget to connect, as we divide our energy in too many directions. So remember to step back into your Own Stillness, and reconnect back to your own Inner Light..
And so that is what I am doing over the next few days.. I will still be popping up to comment and may even pay you a visit..
But If I don’t, you know I am being Mindful of Myself.. 🙂
Love and Blessings to you ALL..
Love
~Sue~

Good thoughts on balance, here on the tail of yet another shark attack. So, so many of them these days. The oceans are screaming and really, who is listening? This is unprecedented, at least here in Hawaii. A real call to seek balance in all our relations. Aloha, Sue ❤

My northern roots gave me, “Where there’s muck there’s brass” same thing though. When I was a student I worked for a family in their walled kitchen garden, zooming up the A23 from Brighton to Horley on my 50 cc Moped at weekends, often spreading muck from the local farm. Nothing like the well rotted stuff to get things going in the garden. Another trick I recently learnt from the ancient Aztec gardeners is to dig in a layer of ground up charcoal, called Bio Char these days to hold those valuable nutrients where they are needed and not washed away by the winter storms. Have fun in your fabulous garden Sue. Love, David

Love the post Sue. I hope you have better luck coming back than I had. One of the construction people cut my phone line, and I didn’t know until I tried to get online again after a week away from my computer. But I’m back now, and I do hope you have a nice rest.
I’m knitting and crocheting articles for my kitchen and bath — towel toppers, dishrags, tissue box covers, plastic bag containers, etc. Small, quick and useful items that will also be my Christmas gifts this year. The afghans are too heavy for me to work on now, so small things now. Faster, more useful, and so much fun.
HUGS and love, Angie

I’m not sure I would call them WORK men Sue. Most of the time they are just standing around, but they do have a knack of destroying more than they fix. I’m having some down time now, playing, shopping, and resting a bit more. Really hate getting up most mornings if I’m lucky enough to sleep, hate even worse getting out of shower, but once I start working on something I just don’t want to stop. Love and HUGS back.

So appropriate here Sue! After many months of a stressful work situation I refused to sign a new contract last week, so now after 7 years I am unemployed. I look at it as firing my bosses and I couldn’t be happier lol. The gold, I found my voice which has long been lost – through all the stress we have endured this year I outgrew alot of anxieties and fears and my habitual playing small. I feel great!! 🙂

I remember you saying how bad things were getting, similar to how we were treated a few years ago.. I am Happy you ‘fired your bosses’ Wendy.. Sometimes we just have to make a choice and choose ourselves.. A friend of mine down the road is going through something similar right now she is working in residential care.. And they are pleading poverty and threatening to shut the nursing home.. Yet 3 big bosses drove up from London in their big cars all separate 🙂 she said.. While they play the loyalty card saying they will have to sign new contracts for less wages and altered hours..
I am so pleased you found your voice… You will soon see how wonderful that ‘Great’ Feeling is……… I will be by your place during the week for a catch up..

Lovely, supportive post, Sue. I spontaneously withdrew from social media for a while ~ at first I thought it was just for a week because, I too, was busy gardening and finishing off a crochet beadspread, while Martin was redecorating our kitchen. But that short break seems to have morphed into almost a month in which I’ve devoted my time to re~establishing my relationship with myself and my husband. I’ve been changing on a very deep level and I love the way that life is panning out for us now ~ but you are right, I had to take this ‘time out’ to fully appreciate it. By the way, I love the colour and the pattern of your knitting! ☺️

Thats a gorgeous pattern you are working on. I can’t see clearly enough to know if I am imagining it but it reminds me of some of Alice Starmores work on Tudor style knits.
I have alot of work to do in the muck as well-never an easy task for me. I find solutions by purging myself of irrelevent objects in my home.Space clearing really helps me alot (both literal and energy wise). Its the making time for it that is hard!

Hi Linda.. so lovely to have you here.. I have not heard of Alice Starmores work but you now have me interested so I will look her up.. The waistcoat is now finished, I purchased the buttons this morning and they are now sewn on.. A photo update will be posted here soon 🙂 It seems we have had a theme going on in the space clearing dept’ .. 🙂 I have had the urge to clear out recently… Its very therapeutic and allows room for the energy to flow back in…… 🙂 Love and Hugs xx

I can’t wait to see it. You inspired me to go back to some of my unfinished knitting-a sweater that is half done. I am trying now to figure out where I left off a few months ago. I really dislike not finishing things so I dug it out and iin the process purged a closet. Funny how that worked out! Alice Strathmore-I spelled it wrong I think. She is well known for her Fair Isle knitting books but has some really gorgeous one color designs too. Enjoy her when you find her sight (vitual yarns I think is the name) and let me know what you think!
