Life’s Force ~Love

The Wood

Today I took a walk; it led me to a wood. ………………………..

Winter is upon us with frost and it was cold as I stood.

Beneath my feet were oak leaves crisply sparkling

Above my head the rays of light reflecting, glistening.

garland

I took a breath of clean fresh air that billowed out as smoke

Flung out my arms and turned around, as the woodland spoke.

My heart beat slowly like a drum, to a rhythmic beat.

I listened to it’s sound, while the energy pulsed through my feet.

garland[3]

My head did spin, I wanted to laugh, instead I hugged a tree,

I’m alive, and was part of that wood, and it was part of me.The Wood 2

Tears of joy sprang to my eyes that glistened like the frost.

For at last my heart sang, my soul I’d thought I’d lost.

garland[5]

You’re part of me, the trees the flowers and the sun,

The Universe and God, are waiting, we are One.

We are all connected, in a moment I just knew,

The key is Love, Everything, Everyone, Especially You.

garland[7]

Each of us is special, unique unto his own,

In that moment my heart felt light, as if I’d just flown.

I am the Lord of the Dance said he- echoed in my head,

At last I knew- I’d met the source- We are One it said.

garland[9]

Peace and Laughter filled my heart, I laughed or I should cry,

I wanted to embrace the whole wide World, and to tell it why.

Love is the answer, Love is the Key,

So simple, yet so hard.

Love is the answer Love is the key,

Grasp it- hold it, Love is now for you and me..

…. Love is the Answer!

I wrote this poem I back in 2008, but the Wood photos were taken only a couple of weeks ago as we walked a favourite walk.

We can all help the flow of our World’s Life Force.. and that is to start sending LOVE out into it.. Instead of making judgements, we need more tolerance, and compassion, care, and understanding.

For what we give out comes back…

So send out what you wish to come back around

And Help the World Heal

With your Love!

Thank you for reading

Change is the Air and You are It!

I’m always going on about how our thoughts create. How they can lift our spirits or they can be our worst enemy and bring us to our knees..

This weekend I managed to chill out.. Sunday my Hubby and I packed our ruck sack and drove out to enjoy the scenery and walks in the Derbyshire Peak District.. These are the valleys I walked as a child, where you could walk out with out fear and villages would leave their doors unlocked and everyone in the village would know everyone else. How times have changed!…

As I  walked the tension of the last week slipped from my shoulders as I breathed in the fresh air and basked in the Sun. We walked passed endless wild flowers in hedgerows and meadows, seeing the blossom on trees and glimpses of nesting birds fetching worms and insects to feed their young.

We passed this wonderful Field full of knee high Buttercups, Here it is with a Horse Chestnut Tree standing proud in the Middle of a sea of yellow Buttercups..

Buttercup Field with Horse-Chestnut Tree

Another View of Buttercups in the meadow

And as I breathed the air into my lungs, I felt it fill me up with energy and it got me thinking. How the Air we all breathe is invisible to all, and yet as I looked up I saw the clouds drifting across the sky as the grass swayed in the fields. The birds and the insects and many butterflies I saw all using this same invisible Air all travelling, all busy creating new life to carry on their species..

Headstone Tunnel at Monsal DaleInside the Tunnel

We walked along a disused train track, that is now a cycle path.. A few years ago the  HeadstoneTunnel of this track was re-opened and I think it took us around 5 minutes to walk through its length around a long curve of 490 metres until we saw the light at the other end.  As we entered it was cold and damp, but there are lights installed in the ceiling and although very dark you can see your way… Children on bikes rang their bells and turned on their lamps and screamed and shouted to one another and their parents joined in the fun, as the echo of the Tunnel amplified their voices as they rode through the tunnels length…

It made me think again how Air is the element of communication.. How when we speak it travels, Our voices can be a mere whisper, or we can bellow… Like the Wind it can be but a breeze or a Tornado ..  Our words have power and we can use them to comfort or  to chastise, we can use them to Heal or to Wound.. and I know how often words can cut sharper than any knife, or soothe  like balm…

Air is also the element through which our thoughts travel, Our thoughts in construction travel out like radio waves into the ether using the element of Air to travel.  Our thoughts are Energy,We may not see them, but then neither do we see the Air, but its there!… Invisible just the same..

How many thoughts do we think in a day?.

Are They Positive or Negative?

We Can send out a prayer for someone as  we send out healing, and often we send out our compassion through our emotional thoughts. So too can we pick up on others thoughts, we often instinctively know when some one is feeling down.. Or happy, for the energy they emit travels through the air as we pick up those feelings . Some go one stage further using Telepathy or clairvoyance which are deeper levels of this ability which we all have, but have forgotten how to use.

While I was walking along I was thinking how wonderful this Planet is and how Nature no matter what the elements throw at it, It still thrives to bloom and grow to the best it can be…

Here are some wonderful views of Wild flowers and just look at those dandelions which are thriving high up on the Rock ledges..

Dandelions growing in rock face

Wild Flower Mixture

Our thoughts can create harmony or they can be destructive and even bring illness upon ourselves.. What ever we give out comes back.. Such is the nature of creation in its circular cycles.

Air is always in motion.. Air swirls and eddies and whirls back on itself.. It moves things along.. It whips things up, creating Change..

My blogging community  has become a global family, we communicate through technology, we are no longer isolated we are in instant contact across vast distances..

Never before have the events around our world been transmitted via satellite into our homes via the media and TV so quickly.  And in an instant our thoughts are affected with the emotions we are giving out with what we are witnessing as we think! and thus send back out into the ether either positive or negative thoughts!

The Nature of our Communication with our global family is crucial for a healthy planet.  We are seeing Old patterns of living altering.. We are witnessing the breaking Free.. We need to move beyond Fear and we need to open up our thoughts in non-judgemental ways as we each of us take responsibility not only for our Actions..  We each need to understand the importance of the Power of Thoughts and how collectively they need to break free of old doctrines and embrace Unity and Harmony, that all are equal. And its time that this divide of Rich and Poor be addressed.

We may not realise the power we all possess , but others do. and so our minds are constantly bombarded with Fear from those communication devices.. Learning how to meditate within our quiet places , going out within Nature and finding our own inner balance within ourselves, we are able to direct out thoughts and intentions. It may not seem a lot.. But our Thoughts DO make a huge difference to the Collective Consciousness.

The more we communicate from our hearts then the more others will want to do the same.. Sending healing love out into the world…

We too can use this Great Communication Tool.. And spread out our thoughts to create a more harmonious Caring World..

So when next you send out your voice into the Ether, Remember it is energy and remember it travels out into the air..

Remember also what we think is also sent out into the Ether.

Change is in the Air

Let it begin with You!

Blessings ~Sue

Walking, and Working in the Peace!.

This last week has been so full as it was a short-break Bank Holiday last weekend  here in the UK and although I worked through half of it, I made the most of the other half as I connected back to Earth through digging in the soil. Ok well not digging, Hoeing out the weeds.   I can not believe we are already here at the weekend again!..

When we go out into nature, whether that be walking or just in your own back garden or in my case in our allotments this weekend, its amazing how refreshed you feel after connecting back with Mother Earth.

Making the most of fine days to plant  and knowing too just when to plant out those tender shoots which often can get caught out in those last days of frosts can be a bit of a gamble especially as the weather has thrown us some surprising turns as we’ve had some cold days and hail storms in one of our coldest springs in 30 years here in the UK.

Here is how all things in the Garden grow and you can see how Herbert is doing.

Click onto the photo’s to enlarge and start slideshow.

Walking is also another Passion. Seeking out those silent places to walk and gather in the Peace in the  environment allows us to pull in our energies and reflect upon the beauty of creation.. We see so much beauty as we look at the cloud formations, the woods,  wild flowers along with the animal and insect life we encounter.

We all need time out to spend in Nature or just sit in our own space. And I am sure we can all find our Sacred Groves to gather and be closer to Nature and our own spirituality.  In the past a Sacred Grove consisted of Native Trees chosen for their wisdom. Oak, Rowan, Hazel, Elder, Silver Birch, Willow plus many more. There would have been a special connection to Spirit of the place through the Earths energies..

Have you a special place you enjoy to visit as you absorb in Natures peace?

By eating plants, we are linked to the plant Kingdom, the cycle of Life. Plants like trees hold their own healing properties.. How many of us are drawn to give flowers to someone who is feeling ill.. or as a tribute as a mark of respect or to give to show our affection and love..

Flowers give their life to enrich ours, have you thought of that?..

For when we pick them, we end their life cycle.

If you have flowers that have died why not compost them as they can once again be added to the cycle of growing. Flowers give so much that we can admire them for a few short days indoors…. So please resist picking the wild flowers and let them reseed in their natural environment so more who walk by can take in their beauty.

When we work with plants we are participating with Nature, we are interacting with Mother Nature. We regain our balance as we blend and feel that Oneness within ourselves again.  We must try in our Modern day world to take time out and give our thanks for Natures Larder and  growing your own veggies helps give something back as we nurture seeds and see just how marvellous Nature is in her wonderful miracles of life unfolding from those tiny seeds. We not only  see those plants we eat as vegetables, but those which we have long forgotten  how to use as medicines, such as the wild flowers and bark… All which science today substitutes with chemicals….. Plants work in harmony with our bodies.. and those ancient tribes of long ago knew so much about natural healing with plants..

Below are some places I went this weekend this was the picture of the woods with the stone cross,  along with some other favourite places of Peace I visited.  Please click each photo to enlarge and read the heading.

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Enjoy your time in Nature this weekend..

The Snow Flake

There it came out from the sky

Fluttering softly, gentle as a sigh

First one, then two,

Then a million or too

Each one unique in pattern and form

Together they joined so perfectly

A Blanket so thick, building silently.

Children awoke with glee in their eyes

Gathering up their winter surprise

Adults too went walking afar

To place their feet upon Virgin Stars

Sunlight glistened on crystallised ice

Breath on wind, the feeling was nice

Red rosy cheeks, as icy winds felt

While dogs jumped in air catching balls that did melt.

Imprints of boots with sledges in tow

Trudging up hills, to slide and let go

Magical, glistening, sparkling pure white

A world it transformed, and all overnight.

And it all began with a flake or two

A carpet of white, just waiting for you

Winter wonderland, embrace and partake

In the beautiful gift of a humble Snow Flake..

I hope as you enjoyed the poem and if Snow is still about where you live
I hope that you will also wonder at the beauty of each snow flake.
Each one like us is unique in its form
As one little snowflake it may seem insignificant
But when its joined together with thousands more
Just look at the Transformation it makes..
Together WE DO Make a Difference..

Autumn Walks and Winter Warmers

Just a short little post, as I share my walk with you today.

Last of the leaves and Berries

Autumn colours are still beautiful even as the last of the leaves fall

Leave littered trail

Crisp under foot, each shape just perfect as the wind makes them swirl

Local woods

Walking in a circle that took me an hour,

With oak and beech that gave leafy showers.

Returning back home I began again to an knit

the mittens I had started to match my winter kit.

Fingerless Gloves

The hat and scarf I made a few weeks ago

And now I’m all ready for that Winter Snow!

One fingerless mitten to go

Hat and scarf

Stay warm, and remember we can achieve anything once we set our minds to it.. Once upon a time I couldn’t knit, once upon a time I found it difficult to walk as I suffered with chronic  pain and fatigue, Once we put our minds to it we can achieve our goals,

we can create better health…

Each of us have Will Power, in the coming future we are all of us going to be tested, So Put your minds to creating something better in your own world ..

The world may appear to be coming apart at the seams

But we are the ones who need to Sew it together with our thoughts.

KEEP CREATING A WORLD YOU WISH TO LIVE AND WALK SAFELY IN.

Hardwick Hall~ An Afternoons Walk

Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.

~Oscar Wilde ~

I thought for a change you could share a walk I took Thursday afternoon. It has been some years since we visited this place and to say its only a 20 minute drive away we were surprised at the changes and improvements made, as the National Trust has injected much into its upkeep for public viewing with the help of lottery funding. I will share a little of our English Heritage with you this morning. So I hope you all enjoy your walk with me into our Historic Places around Great Britain,

DSC00792

Hardwick Hall  was created by the formidable Bess of Hardwick

File:Elizabeth Talbot, Countess of Shrewsbury from NPG.jpg

in the late 1500’s, She was said to be the richest woman in England after Queen Elizabeth I. Bess was married four times and she was also a gifted needlewoman who worked on some of the famous tapestries which hang and are preserved today.

Hardwick Hall is still a working Farm and around the grounds are some wonderful walks which take you down to the lower parklands where a series of small ponds in tiers are full of fish and wonderful water lilies.

DSC00786

I took pictures of the view and of a wonderful Field in the distance which I managed to magnify with my camera full of poppies.

DSC00782

I always find that a walk clears the head, and when you get such  wonderful weather as this week has been after the terrible Summer of rain here in the UK, you have to make the most of your garden and free time to enjoy the countryside and fresh air.

The Hall itself is surrounded by a terrace row of Cottages, which house tenants and labourers  of Hardwick Hall.

DSC00791

It brought home once again the vast differences in the Rich and Wealthy of those bygone days as the Hall is lavishly styled with a great Hall and furnishings Many more images can be found here, as now the Hall is also used for Wedding Venues.

Below are more photos of my afternoon walk. I hope you enjoyed a little History Lesson too..

But out of all of these wonderful trappings of Human Riches, we still come with nothing and leave with only that which we have in our hearts..

While Bess left a legacy of Bricks and Mortar and furnishings. It still all past to the state, as it remained in her family until the 1956 when it was handed over to Her Majesty’s Treasury in Lieu of Estate Duty.. As the Wealthy Have a Huge  amount of Death Tax Duty to pay. Hardwick Hall was handed over to the Treasury to pay off this  Tax debt. And it was then handed over to the National Trust in 1959.

Many Dukes and Duchesses have nearly lost their stately homes to pay these extraordinary High Death Taxes, Chatsworth House another grand Stately home, a place close to my heart as I used to live only a few miles from it when growing up and spent much time walking in its grounds. This wonderful Stately Home  nearly fell foul to  death duty taxes also, but due to opening its doors to the public it has become a success story in its own right Thanks to the previous Duke and Duchesses who turned it around so they didn’t loose everything.

As a foot note here Hardwick Hall was used in the Filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt1 and Pt2, in the Scenes of Malfoy Manor. And Chatsworth house is the setting for that wonderful

Film The Duchess with Keira Knightley fame as Georgina  Cavendish the Duchess of Devonshire.

Here are more of my photo’s Forgive the repetition of some, but somehow the thumbnails got added to the slide show.. Wishing you all a Sunny Relaxing Weekend. And to end with, here is another Great Quote from Red Cloud.

” I am poor and naked, but I am the chief of the nation. We do not want riches but we do want to train our children right. Riches would do us no good. We could not take them with us to the other world. We do not want riches. We want peace and love.”

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
