Busy in the Kitchen..

They a woman’s work is never done.. But neither is that of man.. As we have both been busy this week in the kitchen and the garden harvesting the ripened produce and putting in the Freezer..  We have shelled around 10lbs of peas weight after shelling, and I have frozen strawberries, Broccoli with stalks made for soups, recipe here   courgettes have been coming our of ears as we have eaten most days with salads both cooked and raw ( lovely if sliced in ribbons raw with dressing ) Beetroots we have had daily in both salads and smoothies…  Potatoes have been on the menu with salads too as  well as lettuce and spring onions..  Not to mention the Curly Kale, Cabbage, and Beans.. oh and few raspberries… and the harvested Garlic.

Below is a recipe I found in a magazine..  Being as I had all the ingredients I gave it a go and wow… you should really give this one a try… Delicious!

Strawberry and Rhubarb Crumble

Serves 6:

Ingredients

500g ( 180z) slim rhubarb ( trimmed weight)

225g (80z) golden caster sugar

300g (11oz) strawberries

150g ( 5oz) plain flour

150g ( 50z) Ground Almonds

150g (50z) unsalted Butter chilled and diced

Clotted or extra thick cream to serve..

Have ready an ovenproof dish about 2 litre ( 3 1/2 pt ) capacity, for example a 30cms (12inch) gratin dish.

Preheat oven to 200C /180CFan Oven/Gas 6

Method

Cut rhubarb into 3cm (1  1/4in) lengths  Toss the pieces in a large bowl with 75g ( 30z ) of sugar. Hull and halve the strawberries, combine with rhubarb and arrange fruit evenly in oven proof dish.

Whiz the flour, ground almonds, butter and remaining Sugar in a food processor. If using a processor stop whizzing before before it turns into dough you want crumb texture.. or if like me rub in the butter and flour until resembling fine breadcrumbs and add the almonds and sugar  and mix in last.

 

Scatter the crumb mixture over the fruit and bake for 30 to 35 mins until the top is crisp and golden and the juices are bubbling..

Leave to cool for 20 to 30 mins, its also very good eaten cold, especially with thick cream.. or even vanilla ice cream..

I just loved this with our home grown rhubarb and strawberries.

 Now back to the Kitchen to sort the Peas into bags to freeze..

An Awakened Man~ Interlude

I may be quieter for a time, with posting, and getting to visit as I want to concentrate on more ME time this next couple of weeks.. I started to paint some more pots and I am going to be in the garden and out more while the weather stays good in between my day job..

So here are some of what I have been up to..

I am painting the flowers which I see around me and in my garden .. Moon Penny Daisies, Sunflowers, Forget-me-nots, Poppies and Fuchsias .. The pot in the centre was based on my Fuchsia plant  here.. I think I got the colours matched well..

Now I am going to leave you with a video, you either love or dislike this man Russell Brand.. Last year he caused a stir with his interview on BBC News Night Spiritual Revolution interview, The video below contains many of his talks joined together in a 10 minute video. Listen to what it is he is saying and yes there are a few choice words in there too but we are all adults here and hear them on the streets regularly so my apologies in advance if this offends anyone..

Art~ Hobbies and Synchronisities

I am sitting out in the garden shielding my eyes from the glare of this beautiful Sun as I do not wish to miss one bit of the glorious weather.. So I am sat squinting to see the screen of my laptop as I attempt to publish some more of my painting art work.. 

I have been contemplating for a while in changing direction and taking life a little easier.. Although maybe life will get more hectic, I don’t know, for all is within my thoughts at the moment..Most of you who know me also know I work as a support worker.. Well sometimes this work can be quite stressful as well as rewarding.. And often when you are sensitive its hard to just switch off from the Day Job… So often when I need spells to relax, out comes my paints..

You all saw the results of my Bucket which I did a few weeks back. Such has been the response to it an idea formed in my mind…  This is the bucket above  as I sit looking at it.. Now filled with a Fuchsia plant..

I did have some herbs in it, but since then I painted a bigger tub, so the herbs are going in that one..  Now while this idea formed in my head, I had one or two ‘Signs’ which also were jumping out at me.. One was from MarDrag’s Blog in one of her thoughts for the day.. Gathering for the Future   this was the second nudge from a post I had read. Now when the ‘Signs’s show up, its important to take notice and act upon them.. Others have come in the form of my Dreams, which when interpreted were also encouraging me to look towards my Creative side, as I let other things go.

Now I am a patient person, but even I was amazed at how the Universe was nudging me along with my train of thought, for a few days later  as I mentioned to a colleague my thinking of putting a few items together to see if they would sell, my idea was to go Car Booting… But she kindly invited me along to a Coffee Morning at her local Baptist Church where to raise funds people were invited to have stalls, the rent for the stalls goes to various charities..

So this morning along I went, and to no surprise I was invited with open and enthusiastic arms.. as I met the various ladies who volunteered and who had crafts stalls along with helping cook meals for at times at least 85 people who came through the doors to have a wonderful nutritious dinner and pudding at a fraction of the cost it would cost in a Cafe.

My Colleague introduced me, and before I knew it I was being invited to bring along my art at any Coffee morning and set up stall… Now that is pretty Quick work in the space of a week, from my initial sending out my thoughts.. So I better get cracking and Paint!..

Below is a Very Large Tub I painted for our Garden, but you get the idea of what I will be painting on small little metal buckets or watering cans… I now have to source some plain metal buckets which could be used as plant holders and see if the Universe keeps delivering.. I know it will… Because it Feels Right…. and one of the things I always say.. Follow your Gut instincts, they  are there for a reason...

Painting for Pleasure

Having had a few days to please myself, and being as its been raining most days,  so the garden has been out of bounds.. I decided to revitalise a galvanised bucket which had been sat outside for some time..

We bought some herbs from the garden centre last week and we will plant them in the bucket which we have put drain holes in, to stand on the patio.. I didn’t get any photo’s of what it looked like before, but thought I would spruce it up even more with a little mouse.. Well in fact two cheeky mice!.

 All I have to do now is add some clear varnish over the bucket to keep weather proof.. Then plant the herbs.. I came across Robert Burns poem To A Mouse.

Every Picture Paints a Thousand Words

Those who have been following me for some time know I have had a little time out .. Much refreshed I will let my pictures tell their own story..

So first my ME time saw me getting back to what I love..

 

Second My garden.. I just love spending time relaxing and contemplating as I watch the birds.. So here are some of what is in bloom at the moment in Dreamwalker’s Garden..

Seeds of Alignment

This last few days have been busy in the Dreamwalker household.. Especially for my Hubby who has been busy weeding, digging and planting, while I have been spending some free time painting and baking, and having some Me time in between working the day job.  But I have been planting a few seeds too! 

If we could only all do that, plant a few seeds within our own minds too and water them…. We allow so many weeds of others thoughts and negative  vibrations to swamp our minds we often do not allow our own seeds positive thoughts to grow… We water and feed so many other peoples thoughts as our own.. Not understanding how we are allowing our own thoughts to be bombarded by others perspective . And those good grain of thoughts we had, we allow them to get swallowed and strangled by the weeds and vines of others confining views and opinions  which we allow to live within our minds which then drag us down to a point of despair or depression.

So as April begins and we have to align our thoughts.. This is  an interesting month of renewal and energy growth, not only for our plants, but within our hearts also, as we have the heavens align us to a New Moon which is connecting us to new starts and showing us how to initiate  to new projects.. 

I have not been immune from feeling sensitive from feeling the tension mount these last few weeks, as I have found myself swamped in emotion and I realised in part I was allowing the world at large and those I connect with in daily life to water my own emotional Seeds.. 

I  recently read this could be due to the forthcoming  eclipses of April 15th and 28/29th .. So make sure you align in intension to your highest good. Bringing in the positive energy into your being.. Aligning to our highest intentions as we each of us use the very God given gifts of thought to manifest that which we want to align with in life. Plant your seeds now with intention! ..  

So I will show you what We have been up to and why I have been so quiet on WordPress this last week..

Moving through the Changes

First I just wish to thank everyone of you who have sent your well wishes my way.. Your comments have really touched me, showing me just what a strong WP Family we have here. I am working my way first down my recent comments to repay your kind visits so if I have not visited you yet know I am on my way over the next few days..

I had written a few words in my journal ready to post, but having re-read them I have scrapped them, Why? well I want to focus upon moving through the Changes, not holding onto the past.. For we are experiencing Change ever faster in our lives.. So along with some poetry I previously wrote, my future posts will be covering some of these Changes we are going through both on personal levels and globally..

While I have had time out, I have spent time reading, chilling, meditating, and painting.. Those silent moments of going within takes us on a journey where we reconnect back to our soul. Maybe this is where we get the expression of ‘Soul Searching’ from.

Time out has allowed me to see how I needed to to step back and take time to nurture me. 

So below you will see what I have been up to some days… I have always had  love of horses.. from a young child as I begged to have riding lessons, which I had for a time.. And would love riding out on the moor with my riding class…My family would scrape together my lesson fee, and when the weeks wouldn’t allow a lesson, I would tag along with my farming friends to walk for miles as they would ride their ponies in the hopes I could have five minutes in the saddle.. 

This year too is the Year of the Horse.. and out of interest I looked up my birth year, and low and behold, Yes I was born in the year of the Horse..  and was interested in reading  some Astral Insights Here

Along with the painting of horses, I also did some flowers.. to brighten me up. So I hope you enjoy and I will catch up with you soon…

Star Children~ Orbs and Angels..

Have you noticed how much more intelligent our little ones seem these days?

I know with my own 3 yr old Granddaughter whose wisdom far exceeds her 3 yrs as she connects with the Earth and retains all information with a photographic memory which astonishes us all at time…Many say she is an ‘Old Soul’ and already she is reading certain words, she writes  small words, her name, and comes out with amazing statements that has us all in wonder. But then as her Gran I am bias lol..

There are many books out there upon the Indigo’s Crystal and Rainbow  Children so why would these intelligent, strong-willed children who seem to be so much more forward than in my early years be born and noticed more today?

To be honest it was only through reading about such children some 10 years back now, and I think one has to experience a connection to such a child in order to understand why they are special..

I remember vividly one day standing in line in a supermarket with my trolley waiting at the check-out.. When a small baby probably around 5 to 6 months old in her seat sat in the trolley  with her Mother who was busy unloading shopping, looked into my eyes and smiled.. …  I swear to you that in that instance there was a connection of ‘Knowing’ I saw these wonderful large wide lashed eyes blaze into my soul and an instant  there was recognition on a soul level.. I knew she was a child come to make a difference in our world..  I remember speaking to her in my mind, welcoming her and she squealed in delight, as I then spoke to the Mother saying what a beautiful child she had…

I often despair at  the world we are leaving our children’s children to inherit.. So no wonder the children being born today are so strong willed and many are so advanced as they absorb technology quicker than we do… They are going to need to be self reliant and strong to face the challengers we are leaving them to pick up of the mess we are leaving our world in.. They have come to help with the Shift we are experiencing in our world.. 

Over the Christmas Holidays I took several photos, and upon them appeared some Orbs

  which surrounded my Son and daughter-in-law.. I spotted one while looking at the uploaded photo’s and my Granddaughter spotted another pointing straight away saying ‘there’s an orb Grandma’… She instantly got what they were.. and has always had a fascination  with my Angel paintings.. ..

So this week I felt like painting a small painting and I intend to give it my Granddaughter for her bedroom.. The theme is Orbs and Angels.. And some Power Animals of Bear and Dolphin. The painting is only Postcard size.. and was just a quick fun painting to do.. and apologies as the photo was taken on my phone and not good light.

I hope you click onto the links and look up about the Star Children and find out more about Orbs.. And know there is indeed more to awaken your senses to our reality still yet to come..

Don’t take one word of what I tell you as truth.. You need to prove it to  yourself and so that is why Awakening brings us to seek out many things about our reality.. 

We have blindly followed what we have been told as truth for too long, and it will come as a shock to many to find out the many lies we have swallowed over the many life times..
