Gifts we already Hold~ In Gratitude

Gratitude Love and Blessings.

‘Season’s Gifts’

Our Season’s greetings now begun,

And gifts we give and songs we’ve sung

Of Peace on Earth Goodwill to men

Well I had to write and hold my pen

butterfly divider

And tell you of the Gifts we hold

They come not of the Christmas Story told

But each and every day we see

The True gifts heaven sent to you and me

butterfly divider

The ones of shelter from a storm

A roof and food and Healthy baby born

To walk to see and smile happily

And share the love of family

butterfly divider

Let’s remember those who have no one

The orphan’s beggars and lonely ones

Those who are lost and those afraid

And those who are abused and dazed

butterfly divider

Let’s count the Gifts of being warm

And pray for those who come to harm

Lets also remember the war torn spots

Where our soldiers lives are not just maps and dots

So when we unwrap our gifts this year

Let us remember with a tear

The Gifts we hold each and every day

To Give our thanks and Blessings say

Peace on Earth Goodwill to all men

And hold them in our hearts ..

Amen..

As we approach Christmas Let us remember this Season reminds us about the

Gifts of Giving

Let us also remember All those Gifts we have carried with us throughout the year while others around the world may have not been so fortunate

I want to add a quote here from a blogging friend Narf!  over at The Road to Serendipity  who commented upon my Previous post Time is Flying

“Life is amazing and we are here to document that awesomeness. Lets all stop paying homage to small things and go hunting for the beauty, the precious essence and the special moments in the everyday”

Happy Anniversary!

When Nature comes Indoors…

Just a very Quick post to say thank you for all your wonderful  well wishes for my special day yesterday.. I have still got some of you I need to catch up with.. But here is a taste of the beauty that surrounded me yesterday… As I share the joy of Nature that came into my home..

Basket of flowers

Basket of flowers

Yesterday was a foggy start and then it turned to rain… But it didn’t stop the flowers from smiling as they kept arriving.. as Nature decided to come indoors..

We just have to take a moment in quiet thoughtful pose

To enjoy the bliss around us and be thankful I suppose.

Do we ever take a moment to give our heartfelt thanks?

For somewhere people are fighting and living with enemy Tanks.

So Bless those quiet moments of peace within your home

For you never know when it could be shattered,

 and darkness soon enclose

So enjoy the moments of each bright new sunny day

As we say goodbye to rain clouds in this first few days of May

Love and Blessings Sue

Have a Beautiful Weekend.. See you Next Week .

And The Greatest Gifts Are These

Christmas time is always a busy time of year, and as our awareness opens us up to more  giving as we buy presents and visit loved ones whom we perhaps haven’t seen all year, as that closeness that bond of love  which builds up in what we term the ‘Christmas Spirit.’ We smile and wish everyone a Happy Christmas, we  also leave tips and good wishes for their New Year to come to those who have served us through out the year, as we wish them well.

gifts-Christmas-presents-wrapped-in

At Christmas time our senses are heightened, for once we have to stop and think about others instead of ourselves as we madly rush around thinking of that perfect gift to give them.

And yet what is that perfect gift? It can never be found within the  material gifts we toil all year long to attain.

My elderly Aunty who is 86 summed it up perfectly when I went to visit on Friday. As she thanked me for the gift I had taken, she said the gift she misses most is the gift of her eyesight.. For she is too ill to have more operations on her cataract eye problems. I took some photo’s and she enjoyed viewing them through a huge lens which had a light inside to help enlarge the images she could see.

Often we take so many of our Natural Gifts for granted, the gift of seeing, hearing, and our health.

The perfect gift for me comes absolutely free. Its the gift of ‘Giving back’ giving of yourself to serve your fellow man, and it may come as simple as a smile to a stranger or a helping hand to a young mum getting on the bus loaded with shopping, pushchair and toddler in tow. Just showing courtesy and respect.  Small things I know, but they mean a lot to those receiving.

These are the gifts we should share all year round. Yet we have become so caught up in the wheel of toil and debt in this so called ‘Modern Age’ of keeping up with the Jone’s, we rush around in our own little worlds blinked to others needs.

I often think back to what maybe termed the ‘Good Old Days’ when things were much simpler then. Friends have often said to me there was nothing ‘Good’ about those days without the time saving gadgetry we rely upon today.

But I say this; to me they were the ‘Good Old Days’ for we knew who our neighbours were, in fact whole communities came together. We didn’t lock our doors behind us as we entered our homes or view every stranger with suspicion. We pulled together helping each other out, We used to have time for one another.

The Gifts we have forgotten in these so called Modern times is that we have forgotten how to give of our time to each other.

And time is a gift we should all give ourselves. For time is running faster for every one of us. Just where did  this year go? And what, as you look back did we actually achieve?

Isn’t it time we ALL gave ourselves that perfect gift?

As we move into yet another year. Let us spend time with ourselves if only for Five Minutes in our busy days. Go into that sacred space of silent thought. Spend time with yourselves, and listen to those inner most promptings that ‘Inner Voice’ .

Stop and think of all those material possessions we all have, and think for 5 minutes of your day which one you prize the most… Not one of them do we take with us when we pass from this life..

We only take that which we have gathered within our Hearts

And then give thanks for the Gifts you’ve had with you all your life which have cost you absolutely nothing to buy, but without them all the toil and sweat of your labours would mean nothing.

That is the Greatest gift of all..

The Gift of Life.

The Gift of Health.

The Gift of Happiness.

And the Gift of life our Earth Mother gives us Free Every Single Day of the year.. She gives us our very breath every day!

Love and Blessings And Enjoy each of your cherished Gifts!

And Thank you for reading

A Big Thank You to you ALL.

Many Thanks to ALLThis is just a short post to say a Big thank you to all of my readers and to those who visit regular and comment upon my posts. You Bring with you such light and encouragement, and I often at a loss to say how much your kind support means.

I logged onto my Blog today and discover that my readership has swelled to 400 followers and so I just want to say a Big thank you for all of my oldest friends who have been with me since my beginnings of Windows Live Spaces days when I started in 2007, My first real post after transferring was called Finding Answers  here on WordPress.  And I remember well spending the best part of a Day getting to know and personalise my header  and  Blog back then as everything was alien that day was in Oct 2010.  A move I am so pleased to have made, as I just love the W.P. Community of friends we have gathered here and whom I have got to know and love.

And I just want to say a big thank you to all of my newest arrivals who have clicked the follow button.. I hope to get around to discovering your blogs as soon as time allows. And to say thank you to my email subscribers also.. And Welcome, I hope you enjoy my thoughts and if not please don’t be shy to air your opinions for that’s how we grow and learn by sharing knowledge and understanding.

Support Work~ Self~ And Thank You Fellow Bloggers..

I would just like to say a Big Thank you for all who have taken the time and trouble to comment upon my recent posts. I apologise for not as yet having replied or visited your own Blogs in return. But I have read many   of your Excellent posts via email on my phone..  I am hoping to work my way around those who have visited very soon..

Working as a  Relief Support Worker, Life is often fraught with unexpected added hours of work.. I knew I had a heavy schedule already booked working through last weekend along with days in the week, But due to staff shortages and staff illness I found myself covering more hours including double back to back shifts  which left no time for anything else.

When you support people 24/7 like I do, they come first.. and then I had to put myself second, And WP came in last, as you need to switch off your brain especially if you have been on duty some 15 hrs from 7-30am to 10-30pm and sleeping on call…  So this is the first time I have opened my Laptop in 9 days…

I would just like to say once again to all of you who follow Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary on a Regular Basis and who visit and comment, how much I appreciate your comments, Please bare with me while I work through the backlog…

In the mean time, Here is a poem written about those with Learning Disabilities I did not write this one, but it was given to me by a friend.

I will be visiting you Soon! ~ Blessings to you ALL….

Thank you for your visit!

~Sue~

Waiting for my carer.

The falling leaves fall no more
The morning bell rings at the door
It’s not that I can really explore
My feelings remain locked inside for evermore
The bell rings twice and the door swings open
I listen intently waiting for my turn
From the bed I can see the sunlight streaming through
While I wonder who is at my door
I sit and wait no longer caring
For everything I do has to be sharing
The rustle of leaves circle the driveway
I cannot see yet, it’s still the middle of May
From downstairs the sounds of bacon cooking reach my avid senses
As I sit alone awaiting as my carer commences
I know she here, the clock struck eight, she will be mine at nine
My beds wet and the sheets smell rank
It’s not that I can help it, there’s no money in the bank
Everything seems so hopeless, when all I want to do is my thing
Go out to the shops and buy myself a wedding ring
To glimpse the dawn to hear the dear and the fawn
Wouldn’t it be nice to sit on my own front lawn?
The world goes by, passing everyday
Nothing I do or say makes any difference to my dismay
The leaves fall no more
The summers come I can tell
I am like an empty shell
Living in my own make-see hell
Everything will be ok at nine
It will all be just fine
My carer comes in and makes my bed
She washes my hair and sings to me
Tells me that one day I will be like an angel in heaven
Adorned in silk and satins with wings as bright as the sunlight
I am pleased she cares, even if it’s just four days a week
For she’s the only one who comes who speaks to me
My learning disability is really not my own
It belongs to all of us whoever we are
No matter how much I have grown
My thoughts are short as if on loan
At least I have my carer who never seems to groan
Up and ready it’s time for breakfast even if it is now cold
I guess it will be like this until I am very old
I hear the birds in the garden and the crickets
Where would I be without my carers?
As if I have a choice?
Still, I love my life, it’s my own
No matter how much people say to me
I am not theirs to own.

Peaceful Beginnings

Having taken time out recently from my Blogging Community I’ve become aware just how many of us are now seeking to alter our own personal space as we ‘Tune in’ once again to our own personal Vibration.

Spring is all about renewal, rebirth and growth and I think many of us are seeing how important it is for us to find Balance in our modern day to day busy life styles.

As I type, the whole world every moment is re-tuning, altering and raising her vibration as evolution takes us on this next phase of our Earthly Journey.  Many of us may feel we are in uncharted waters, each of us waiting in expectation of this next phase of our existence.

My own personal changes have I admit been hard to adjust to. Why? because I’ve always had an active working career while being committed at the same time to my Spiritual work. This year I promised myself to pursue the things I love doing, Painting being one. Slowing down and learning to take things in your stride, you would think easy. But its hard to change the habits of a life time as we learn to say that little word No to others as we learn to please ourselves more.

Spring Vortex Spring Vortex

As our vibrations alter more and more are now recognising the ‘Signs’ which are there for all of us which guide our daily lives. I picked up a spiritual magazine the other day, and as I flicked through the many pages of ways of connecting to your higher/inner-self I smiled as I read the many advertisements to enrol in this course or that. It reminded me I had been on my Spiritual Quest for the best part of 40 years as I pursued this and that as I’d gained my diploma’s in healing and other alternative therapies.  I had read the spiritual books which line my bookshelves, I had done the various meditation techniques, I had done the vegetarian years..

Now it is time to listen to that small voice within. Each of us hold the keys of knowledge, and the higher your vibration rises then more of you will learn to tap into your inner vibration,

The Knowledge is within.

You will learn to discern with your intuition, your feelings,  for you are unique only you can tap into you. You will know when its time to change. What  you may also notice as your vibration alters is that your body may hurt as you adjust to your new found frequency. You may have headaches, Pains in your bones, stomach upsets. Your memory may appear to play tricks on you. You may find the company you keep in your circle of friends start to clash.  You may get the urge to change jobs, careers, location.. You need to know this is the time for regrowth a time for balancing. Shedding past trauma’s, letting Go of old wounds.

When life gets too much,I rebalance by getting out into Nature, or sitting in my own silent space painting or knitting.   We are all to often bombarded with negative energies as the communications systems overload our brains to bursting point with Negative news. Its hard to re-programme your mind which for generations have been influenced by our upbringing and surroundings.

If we look to Nature we see she doesn’t argue or strive to be superior, you will find she thrives by co-existing with her neighbouring species of animal or plant. Just open your eyes and see how everything is interconnected at some level.

We are not separate from Nature, we are part of her, but somehow we’ve come to believe we are superior-knowing better than Mother Nature, thinking we can do a better job. As a consequence we’ve interfered with and upset the Balance of her exquisite creation.

Anyone who lives out in the country knows that when man leaves his scars upon her, deep though they maybe, once man moves on, Nature eventually will reclaim the land back, restoring, reseeding and regenerating. If you look how water flows, you will see it finds its own path, Nature too is finding her path, always evolving, restoring and adapting.

Mankind has lost much of his direction in the pursuit of Material Wealth. We have lost that flow with Nature, we have forgotten how to breathe and adapt. No longer are we at one with our Earth as we think ourselves Separate.

I see many now floundering in this vortex of Greed caught in the material trap. Panic setting in as instinctively people feel those changes now taking place around our world.  Our senses are telling us we have to alter our way of being. We are feeling our Energy Changing, you will start to question and seek out ways and means of reaching a more peaceful state of BEing

By all means go on your Pilgrimages, seek out those sacred sites, read your spiritual books, this is all part of our journey as we raise our vibrations, its called Enlightenment. Its been a huge part of my own path. The higher and faster our vibrations resonate, the Lighter we become as we move away from the denseness of Matter.

But nothing beats the journey than that of Self Discovery as you visit that sacred place within your own soul.

So as Spring is the time we feel energised as we clear out the clutter, do yourselves a favour and clear out some of the debris from your minds and listen to that small voice of silence. Find the time to connect to your own Sacred Space that place which vibrates in harmony within your own being.

Breathe in the energy, become at one with the moment, make this a ritual as you let go of your stresses, go with the flow, let go of your thoughts and find that place inside. And as you learn to let go of your thoughts you will learn to reside in the spaces between them. Listen to the Pin drop, and become the pin.

This is a time where we need to keep Calm and Peaceful, This is the time for Peaceful Beginnings as we let the walls of our Fears fall away.

Learn to connect again to your Inner-self

and learn to love your True Light.

I know I AM

Blessings to you All..

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
