Going around WP in my catch ups I was interested in seeing how many times the word Balance was used, It inspired the topic for the this post.
Some WP friends are learning how to balance their lives with illness, while others are balancing their work and home life with their blogging world.
Sometimes its a juggling act, as we try to pull everything together, its no wonder at times we trip up and loose our balance and can feel overwhelmed.
I am sure we have all had that feeling being ‘out of balance’ when we are out of sync with life and instinctively know that if we do not get back on track, the scales will tip either one way or the other.. I have been there more than once.. We get to feel those warning signs, as our emotions well up and the small things in life seem to expand into huge mountains that were once only mole hills..
Achieving balance requires that you assess what is important to you, each of us need to determine where we are on those scales,. as we juggle our pieces of our life’s puzzle to make sense of where we are. Our modern day life styles can often push us to our limits as we walk our life’s path.
Every day we make choices, which affectively bring the different aspects of our being together to form the person that we are today. You know when you are in Balance, for all flows and seems to slot into place..
Only You can determine what balance means to you..
To me.. I am at last balancing what is most important to me.. I am starting to see that in order to feel in balance, I need to to stop stepping on each side of the scales, trying to bring others into balance…The only scales I can control is the one I stand on.. my own centre..
For one who is empathic, it can be hard to detach, as we see the injustices in our world, but then am I not being judgmental in my own assessment upon my half of the scales.. For to experience this life at all, we need the opposites in order for there to be any middle ground..
Is life not showing us at this present moment the opposites as we see the the neglect, the suffering, the horrors. Is life then not giving us the opportunity to balance the scales, so we can show more compassion and care as we learn to share and give, instead of taking and greed.
Can we bring back the Balance?
It maybe up to us to shift the balance of the scales, as we each find our own equilibrium. I hope as we each learn to stand in our centres, that we also help to bring the world back into balance, For I truly believe the world often mirrors our internal turmoil’s..
Have you found yourself balancing life’s scales recently? And How have you found your centre?
Love and Blessings
