The Alchemy of Consciousness

The alchemy of consciousness that created you and me

Is nudging us to lift our hearts to open and begin to see

That the branches we stand upon within the Tree of Life

Keeps us reaching upwards, as you walk away from strife.

And from the lofty view, as we gaze back upon our path

We see the culmination of our thoughts that create such wrath

So, stand within your power, The elixir of your Light

As you open up your Vision, create a brand-new Sight.

Know that your thoughts are the paint in all you do

You can either paint in bright colours or allow fear to dim your view.

Nature despite all that the seasons throws at her, she never gives in. No matter how cold or how much snow or rain has covered those new shoots, she pushes on through and ALWAYS Blooms. Giving us her best with what she has been given.  I often feel for the animals who must at times be as confused as we are, but they continue to be motivated to survive and thrive.  They never give up, no matter what is thrown at them, they learn to adapt, or they don’t survive.

Spring brought us a weeks grace here the other week when temperatures soared to record highs in the UK for April in 70 years, It lasted a week, then plummeted back to normal, and once again the wind and rain has set in. While I know in other parts of the world Snow and cold temperatures have lasted longer than normal, While in other parts Floods never seen before have been happening.

No matter what the world is showing us at the moment, be it in extreme weather or extreme behaviours, we have to be more like nature, and keep on keeping on, just being the BEST we can be.

Time is precious.  And we all of us spend far too much time worrying over things out of our control.. At times I want to rant and rave and shout my rage at what I know to be.. Yet doing so is only adding to the Chaotic energies which is being purposely generated. My rants often come in the words of poems and if people are open enough they will see the meaning behind them.

Each of us holds tremendous power, yet we so easily give this power away… The power of our own Energy, our own minds and our own thinking. .. Don’t allow your energy be sabotaged, I have done some deep searching into my own negative blip as I allowed my emphatic self be swamped by emotional issues of the world.  While we all need to be compassionate, we also have to understand each of us hold our own responsibilities, we can not be responsible for another’s actions

I have recently picked up the book again by Eckhart Tolle  and started to re-read his words of the POWER OF NOW. Never more has it been more vital to see just how much Power we hold in this moment of time..  And using our minds to create the sort of world we want to live in.

So if you feel overwhelmed at times and confused, and aghast at the world at large, remember we each create our future by what we are thinking in the now. Our own energy is vital. So if we join in with prejudice, anger and discrimination,  that is what we will keep perpetuating.

Look around you, everything you see, was once an idea, a thought brought into being by intention and action..

Thought Creates

So if we want a society to be more peaceful and a world which lives in balance with nature, we have to realise it all starts from altering our own habits, our own thoughts as we adapt to alter our ways of BEing.

I will leave you with a few Spring flowers, and the Top Picture just for Betty whose Poem Vine brought me to take a picture of some Ivy entwined within my conifer tree.

Wishing you all a Wonderful Weekend

Oh yes, thoughts do create, Sue. Now that I am out in my gardens I feel the “stress” of the world melting away for all there is the immediate NOW before me as I decide which branch to prune and how much to take off. Then there is the laying down of mulch as I lovingly and with care arrange every inch of my gardens’ surfaces with a new coat of new cedar mulch. The sun, the breeze, the smell of Earth, the JOY of seeing new growth despite the very cold Winter we had all bring to mind …. this is all we have, this present NOW, and nothing more. Be Blessed! And much Love!!! Wonderful post, dear Sue!!! (((HUGS)))! 😎

Eventually we will understand there are no choices to be made. People can carry on living their life at odds with nature unaware how attached they are to it for their survival, and face the consequences. Or, we will realize the necessity for clean air,
clean water, and sensible waste management.
Always excellent reading here Sue. Celebrate peace

Many thanks dear Eddie, and thank you for that wonderful compliment.
Yes it is sad people take Air and water for granted, and cannot begin to fathom how we each impact upon Nature and our environment.
I know many DO care, but there are still many who need to open their awareness, that we and Nature are ONE, We need our Earth Mother more than she needs us..
Wishing you a peaceful weekend in your garden Eddie..

It’s the choices of the greedy that have set this world on its course.

A handful of men hold most of the world’s wealth and they are desperate for more, but eventually they will die and it will all be for nothing…

I love this post, Sue! And itbisn good to see you 😊 The poem is wonderful…so full of the power from your soul…I can feel it…really feel it!!
And I love the syncronicity…as I will be posting tomorrow “My Power.”
There is so much energy, from all angles…that nature has to react!
I know that we do, as individuals, have power. But when we connect with others and resonate together the strength of it grows exponentially!
I am so grateful…BLESSITUDE…to join my power with yours. I have felt such a connection from the first moment we made contact. I am with you, sister, thinking good thoughts and spreading our energy one thought at a a time!
Much love and many blessings to you, Sue 💜💜

Wonderful our paths have crossed and each of us connecting to that POWER within lol.. We are indeed sisters joined by the energies that abound.
Paths often cross for a purpose and I am always delighted when we arrive at each others door at just the right time..
Synchronicity forever holding us to see how Unity works, and how each is connected to another.. We are ONE..
I will be sure to come read your post..
I have to shut down WP right now as I have a busy afternoon ahead..

Beautiful poem and message that gives us each a different message depending on where we are on our journey. Just to add is when we work upon ourselves we tend to lose the layers like an onion. It is a struggle or sometimes it is easy. When we peel the layers we are like the metamorphosis of a butterfly. Some people talk the talk but never do the walk. I have a friend that is super positive nothing wrong with that but I find she misses out on reality. When I put that to her she says I don’t like reality. The brain is a negative organ as the definition that follows states—–We humans, it seems, have anywhere from 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. But according to some research, as many as 98 percent of them are exactly the same as we had the day before. Talk about creatures of habit! Even more significant, 80 percent of our thoughts are negative. Wow it is no wonder that we do not commit suicide as a species with 80 percent of our thoughts being negative. Your post are food for thoughts. Another piece—We are aware of a tiny fraction of the thinking that goes on in our minds, and we can control only a tiny part of our conscious thoughts. The vast majority of our thinking efforts goes on subconsciously. … But when the ball comes sailing through, unconscious mental functions take over. As you stated we do have control of our thoughts in the here and now and yes that creates our future.

I agree with you Joseph, and apologies for the lateness of replying. I saw your comment the other day and was working my way down my notifications column then a section in the middle of these comments all vanished as it said in my notifications. The End.. So now I am back tracking all those I still have yet to answer..
Yes the onion layers seem endless at times.. But it is work we have to do to raise our vibration..

As we understand that both positive and negative go hand in hand.. We can not experience one without the other.
To eliminate all negative thoughts is impossible, but we do spend a lot of our thinking time in the past or in the future worry about what is gone and what is to come and we miss out on LIVING in the present..

I wonder Joseph what our minds would be like if we engaged ALL of it into working.. 🙂 as I am told we only use one tenth of our brains..

Thank you so much Joseph.. You always contribute wisdom with your words my friend.. 🙂

    Hey DW…
Such challenging times. I am a lover of challenge and even I am exhausted by all that keeps swirling around. So, like the turtle, I pull inside my shell/home and stay to myself rather than deal with insanity. That may be the cowards way out but I can at least keep moving forward this way. I’m just so glad to see green grass again, buds coming out on the lilac trees and all of the birds singing once again! There is nothing like it to soothe the soul!
One good thing about being the turtle I forgot to mention is the fact you have all of that ‘me’ time to work on yourself because as we all now know( I hope) the change begins within our own lives first! What I am seeing everywhere in the world right now but especially here in America is everybody name calling and slinging dirt and lies and laying blame on people when in fact their own behavior that is way out of alignment! It is they they should be going within and repairing their reputations for being so shallow and mindless and down right evil! At times it feels like we have slid backwards down the ladder of consciousness rather than going up!
I just have to say as I depart how shocked and disappointed I am in the mindset of Britain having literally killed little Alfie! We should all be screaming bloody murder about this. It could well be our own kids or grandkids who become victims! Who in God’s name gave a Govt the right to tell you what to do with your own child? This needs to be stopped immediately! Okay, rant over. Sorry…Love you DW and send you hugs and all the best to hubby too…VK ❤

Yes, Sue, your poem is so true and The Power of Now is a classic. The winter here has dragged on longer this year than ever in my memory. But it is lovely, sunny, and warm this morning. So much change inside and outside and lately it has been getting me to a very dark place. But I feel that this is temporary and somehow necessary.

It’s interesting that those that don’t know this will probably never read a blog like yours that tells the truth of it. They live in a world of misinformation and never venture out. I didn’t learn until my late 30’s that my thoughts created my life. Until that time I had no idea of the consequences of my actions. Each will come to this understanding in their right time. Some never do but the contrast is also required in life. Mother Nature will take care of herself one way or the other. Hopefully we will be here to see it. Or she will shed herself of us. I let go of trying to fix others. I was asking the questions when I found the answers. When the student is ready, you know.

      Thank you Marlene..
Yes, it takes time for us to awaken to the realisation that it is we who hold the key to our reality. What we think is what is creating our future.

People I know can scoff at the idea, Yet one only has to open our eyes to see everything and I mean EVERY Material thing that surrounds us was once an idea, a thought that someone with intention brought into being in their reality..
And we are doing the exact same thing now, with AI and we only have to look at the way technology has sped forward to see where it is all taking us.

Learning to see we can change no one other than ourselves often comes with frustration for we see how their behaviours are affecting the whole.. Yet we need to keep in balance.. Something that a short while ago, I let slip, as I let others behaviours affect my own energy as I allowed my compassion and empathy overwhelm my own emotional body..

They also fail to see how thoughts manifest, either negative or positive outcomes.. Like attracts Like. And the law of Cause and Effect. Let alone other universal laws that many have never heard of come into play. 🙂

The older we get the wiser we become.. Thankfully Marlene as we have grown in knowledge so has our awareness in these things.
We now see the Power of Now and focus our energies into our creative pursuits and garden.. Knowing that we can only try our best, and having done our best with what we have, that is all we are asked..

Sending Love and Many thanks dear friend.. Apologies for the late reply some comments were not visible in my notifications column. And yesterday was my b’day so I had a day off from technology.. ❤

Have a wonderful week Marlene.. Take care.. Love Sue xx ❤

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, Sue!!!!! Many happy, wise wishes. I often forget the comments I’ve made so there is no timetable on their reply if there is one. I don’t concern myself with that.
Your comment “I let others behaviours affect my own energy as I allowed my compassion and empathy overwhelm my own emotional body..” resonated. It’s important to keep an eye on that one. The election here almost did that to me until I realized it’s not in my control and this may be something that needs to play out for reasons we don’t yet understand. I went back to understanding the only thing I have any control over is me. I let the rest go. I’m not in charge of the universe, only my thoughts. You are right in saying so many don’t understand. I’m glad at least my daughter understands. It’s women that have the best connection to all that is. Poor fellows still think this is reality. 😦 Have a wonderfilled week, Sue. Giant hugs.

Your post is rich with inspiration and assurance. We Are nature – so as much we keep true to ourselves we keep going, no matter what. Time is indeed precious – especially the present moment – how much ease can we create as we flow in to the next- we contribute to creation no matter what choice we make, so it becomes important to stay steadfast in our intention. I just finished reading “The New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle. It grounded me in my intention deeper.

What a similarity again, Sue! Two days ago I unpacked a box of books and Eckhart Tolle’s books were part of it. When I held “The Power of Now” in my hands I recalled what understanding the message of this book ignited and generated in me when I had read it the first time. I thought, when all calmed a bit down and I get the chance to read again, I will read it again! Thanks for strengthening and confirming that input with your post, Sue 💖

Yes it is most certainly what we bring into our world Sue, the positive or negative that we feed into all else.
I only yesterday had a healing and was shown something that I had held onto for many, many years. I had become so focused on the spiritual that I had left my physical body gasping on the side of the road. Through a childhood fear I had practically disassociated from my physical self so that I would not feel the pain within that childhood. Something we all do in many different ways to cope with how we are feeling. But it had ingrained in such a way that it was beginning to interfere with my balance in all else that I do.
I am feeling a little disjointed at the moment, as it would for dealing with any life issue. But once understood it free’s us to move forward again, see the beauty in that journey, and bring our hearts a little further open to show the light we have now become because of that experience.
May your journey speak to your heart kind lady, and see the beauty that you have now become because of your courage in facing yourself ❤

Lovely thoughts Sue, they resonate with me. When we open our hearts, all the positivity spreads around, wiping away negativity, guiding us towards the light we would like to follow. I also feel that brightness is very much within our reach…we just have to give a hard shove to the fears that lurk around us, creating unnecessary doubts within us.
We are not going to give up…not now, not ever because only cowards give up! Whenever thoughts overwhelm, draw from inner power…the power that lies latent, waiting to be explored. Thanks for the reminders dear friend. Love and hugs.

Very true.. Fear keeps us locked in the shadows often Balroop and we often fail to see we are often our own worst enemies. Learning to see how our thoughts create.. And understanding our own power of thought can either uplift or drag you down.. I have been to both places. And at the end of the day it is only I who can change myself.

So many takeaways in this post, my friend. “Know that your thoughts are the paint in all you do You can either paint in bright colours or allow fear to dim your view” – yes – our thoughts – how they could enable bloom and gloom. “…it all starts from altering our own habits” – this is so true. We tend to point fingers at others before questioning ourselves. To err is human, but if one doesn’t correct the err, it’s perhaps inhuman. Have a beautiful weekend, Sue.

Sweet Sue – as always, your words are inspiring and poignant. As I read, I kept thinking about my meditation experience that I’m immersed in…how much I keep hearing “acceptance” and “that which is” – and I find my mind wandering to this concept when I begin to despair at the state of the planet and the world. How I yearn for unmarred beauty and preservation. How I yearn to rid this planet of plastic and get everyone to invest in solar energy. How I yearn to have highly efficient recycling programs everywhere and responsible citizens doing their part…
And then I have to tell myself that I’m not supposed to put all the world’s problems on my shoulders. I know I’m supposed to make some sort of difference while I’m here and I am still learning what that is. Perhaps I’ll walk a marathon for peace, or get my community to ban plastic drinking straws. Perhaps it’s merely to help others on their spiritual path by teaching them to meditate. I know not what lies n front of me, but I do know that looking within is what’s going to help me not despair…
On a happier note, I am *sure* your garden is going to be an oasis. I love the peace you create in your words, paintings, watercolors, poems, gardens, stories and so much more. You are an inspiration to me, dear friend. I wish you a happy Sunday and wishes for an incredible week. ❤

Thankyou kindly Cynthia for your wonderful comment.. And yes I too Yearn for those things too.. Yet I have come to see, I alone can not change the world to be what I want it to be.. I have to accept too, its like it is for a reason.. Mankind has come to experience, to learn and grow through his mistakes.. And I am certain our Earth Mother will not allow us to destroy such an intricate balanced planet by his greed. She will turn the tides on us before that happens..
And Earth has regenerated many times before renewing her lands as we see sand and mountains where once deep oceans were.. And no doubt she will shake and rattle once again to reform and transcend.. Just as we are
transcending now as we learn to awaken to our real selves.

Our paths are mapped out before us even though we can not see all the time around the bends in our roads.. We have to trust that we are guided along our journey and that each mistake we learn.. We are very young I am sure in the scheme of the Universe, and while Humans may think that they hold vast amounts of knowledge we know very little at all..

My own despair often comes in what we are leaving our grandchildren.. Yet even they have chosen to be born this time, So they come well equipped, as their souls are bright and strong willed, they will need that strength to help them sort out the mess we are leaving them..

      Many thanks my friend..
      Sending Much love xx Sue

I so understand that: what are we leaving the children. Our Native American Indian brothers and sisters had it right: we have to think not only about ourselves and our children, but about those seven generations from now.
I keep thinking that we’re going to find ways to turn our trash into treasure. I keep thinking that we’ll embrace renewable resources. Or that we’ll be able to plant trees and instead of creating more cemeteries, we’ll put ourselves in those bios urns and make trees out of our ashes (or…at least that’s what I want to do, hehe). I keep thinking that we’ll begin to hear the rhythm of the planet and know that if we do not care for it, she will not care for us, either. I want to fix it all, I want to keep anyone who is hungry from starvation. I want to make sure every human has enough to survive…and thrive. I want to eradicate disease. I want to create a world of bliss. Oh, but how to convince those who would not be convinced?
I asked a friend about this recently and he gave me an answer worth contemplation (at least for me): that the suffering out there is just that. We have to find our peace within. When we are ready, we can do our part to change and help the world to make it better.
I get that: finding peace in my heart and finding the will to love all, even those who utterly break my heart with their terrible acts…but in the meantime, I feel it so heavily and often feel like I need to “recuperate” from the world by working at home 4 days per week…
But this meditation journey is lighting me up. Perhaps with that light, I’ll be able to exact change in my community and influence those beyond who would find it in their hearts to love and be loved…
Thank you for your sweet thoughts. Love and light. More hugs to you, Sweet Sue. xoxo

Weather extremes seem to be the new norm these past few months. It is only now…nearly May…that it seems Spring has arrived with a bit warmer temps. I have been walking my four legged friend, enjoying the breezes here. I am also endeavoring to figure out (with the help of my daughter) how to put a tiny house on the back of their property. If it comes to be next year, after my move, I will have to plant a couple of trees as their property is lacking. Never in my wildest imagination could I have thought I would even consider something like this but I would not have to pay rent and life would hold less stress. My daughter is calling it an art studio/home. I will keep you posted in the months ahead. Hope you are well my friend. xoxo

Wonderful and inspiring post, Sue. I’ve also read The Power of Now and it was incredible. I still have it, too, so maybe a second read is in the near future. Your photos are lovely, and we spent all weekend in the yard, all weeds are gone (thanks to us and our gardener), and we have new blooms brightening up our views through the windows. It’s so nice that Ms. Spring finally arrived. 🙂 Have a nice evening! ❤🌷🌼🏵

Sue, what a wonderful and alluring title for a post … I raced to read on! ‘Power of Now’ is one of his incredible books that I also turn to and I am glad the wisdom and calm within are helping you through the chaos of now. One phrase in your post stands out for me ‘ Don’t allow your energy be sabotaged’ – for many years I did just that, not even realising what was happening, just feeling my energy sapped. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and deep thoughts – as always you leave me pondering, reassessing. Thank you also for the photos of your garden, they’re bewitching. Just a pity about today’s wintry weather…I can’t wait to plant my fuschias tomorrow! Love & hugs xxx❤️

Thank you Annika.. Yes people do not understand that we give our power away when we get drawn into negativity… Or when we agree, when really we disagree, but we are fearful of standing in our own Power of Intention..
And I am enjoying The Power of Now book again. We often need to be reminded of our own Power..
And yes the weather is very chilly.. It was wet first thing but the wind blew the rain away and I got my laundry all dry.. Hope you get your fuchsias planted out.. My hubby has had some going all winter that he is making into standards… But he is not risking them in the cold just yet.. 😀

Another lovely post, Sue. As will most other things in life, we can make small changes in our individual capacity to improve the world around us. We can empathize with the less fortunate and attempt to help them as much as we can afford, we can do our own personal best towards reducing consumption of plastics and energy and try to reduce our carbon footprint.

I’m retired in Spain and the flowers are quite exotic here, but be it a new bud, bird-song or sunny day, I’m a happy bunny. Now ‘rich in years,’ I have learnt to live ‘in the moment’ and it gives relief from the horrors of the world. To be content with your lot and count your blessings is key to a more peaceful heart.Love and light. Yes when we learn to jump out of the rat-race and spend time in Nature we most certainly learn how she adapts and copes with what we humans have thrown at her.
Nature heals us in mind body and spirit, and I am happy to meet and greet another who enjoys her time spend in communion with the riches she gives us in each and every moment..
All we have to do is look and pay attention.
Many thanks and I will be sure, once I have caught up here to repay the favour and visit you back..

Sue, a beautiful post and very helpful in these unsettling energies. It is true the more we rant about what we don’t like, the more it adds to the chaos. Yet to hold it in does not serve us either. That is why I enjoy writing and have utilized poetry as a way to express these feelings. Any tool that keeps our attention in the now is helpful. The present moment is beautiful; when we can open up and see it. Thanks, Many Blessings Lisa

And I agree holding inside deep emotion is just as bad as we turn energy in on itself that creates illness..

Great sentiments to start any day with, Sue ~ be the best you can be. With so much chaos around, it becomes easy to lose focus on what we can control; ourselves and our surroundings. Be the best we can be is where we can wrestle control back. Love your words back in Oct. 2017 “So, stand within your power, The elixir of your Light, As you open up your Vision, create a brand-new Sight.” Wish you a great weekend.

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
