Today~ Is the best day of our lives

Hawk  in sky with the Moon in June of 2017.

Today I awoke with a spring in my step

As an appointment with Nature today I kept

The Sun shone bright with skies so clear

As off I did walk with a smile and good cheer

~~~
2012 is the year of the shift
As I walked in the Sun I was given a gift
My gaze travelled high to the buds of the trees
And low to the ground was the hum of the bees
~~~

I sent my thoughts to the Creator of All

As I asked for his gifts and he answered my call

For up in the heavens Two Hawks they appeared

Spiralling on upwards my eyes filled with tears

~~

A feeling inside me did burst from my heart

For all of these gifts we each are apart

No longer on ground did my feet seem to walk

But high with the Hawks I flew and did talk

~~

They told me of visions and far reaching sight

And how to sail upwards in effortless flight

Teaching Patience and Grace as they glided with ease

With no earthly worries or grudges to appease

~~

Higher and higher aloft I did rise

I danced with the Hawks amid the clear skies

Adrift with my thoughts I floated back down

As once more my feet did touch back to ground

~~

‘The Shift’ is within as we awaken and see

As many more join in the flight to be free,

I carried on walking with heart full of love

And asked for another sign from those up above

~~

For my journey unsure on the road I must tread

And appearing like magic I looked above my head

Two Butterflies danced on the breeze with such glee

Ascending to heaven in answer for me..

~~

We each see the signs as The Shift we all feel

As our hearts open wider in this world so surreal

So follow your Path and see where it leads

Ascension is coming for this Earth to succeed..

~~~
The poem above I wrote back in 2012.
But today I also want to share a special video from Akiane .
When I first saw this video just after Christmas, I just knew I would be sharing it with you all at some point.. And Today, as we embrace another Brand New Year, is the perfect day to share what Akiane has to say,~ ‘Here she is’,—- ”Taking her  time to cherish everything around her,”~ as you witness the birth of another amazing painting.
May Today be the best day, and tomorrow be even better still.
 May we embrace every moment of every Day in Love and Harmony.
Love and Blessings
Sue
    A very thought provoking poem showcasing your shift. I was talking to a friend not too long ago about shifting. Although she understood the concept she had not experienced a shift and was looking forward to it.
    The video was just as thought provoking and a message to me that most inspirational ideas and revelation come in mundane task as most of us sometimes look for that inspiration in ethereal feelings. My best lines for poems come when I do mundane things.
    I must say the narrator sounds like Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.
    Beautiful message all around. Happy New Year my friend.
      Thank you Joseph, the Narrator is the artist, and earth angel comes to mind..
      Yes sometimes the most simplest of things bring us the most profound insights, and I love it when Nature speaks to me, as she brings her gifts as Signs..
      Have a wonderful 2018 my Joseph.. And keep those poems coming.. 🙂 🙂
        Yes Nature speaks to me and when I am in the woods or by the ocean nature speaks to me most often and that is where a lot of my insight comes and I do get insight from the simplest things as well. Wishing you a most insightful 2018
            Yes we will. Something has been going on since Spring of 2017. I can feel it and the only inkling into it is that it feels heavy not on my shoulder but heavy like waiting for lightning to hit. Does that make sense?
              Yes that makes perfect sense Joseph.. I wrote a poem before Christmas I entitled it ‘Knowing’ and I touch upon the feeling of knowing something Big is about to happen, yet not wanting to voice what I feel it is.. I will have to post it.. 🙂 But I will be busy the next couple of days with my granddaughter, But its just like you describe..
    Dear Sue, what a lovely New Year’s post! Thank you for sharing these beautiful words.
    I’ve been sick all year with a sinus infection. Applesauce! That sounds dreadful when I say it that way. Let’s say all week… But I won’t let that illness mar my outlook for 2018. Why? Because on New Year’s morning, I awoke dreaming of angels.
    That’s even bigger when you consider that I rarely remember dreams, and the ones I have are bizarre at best.
    So each day, as I deal with as I deal with coughing, sneezing and disgusting mucus — and the bitterly cold (way below normal) temperatures (-13 C at 7AM today even in the sunshine), I try and bring back the positivity of a dream of angels. A great beginning to 2018.
    Happy New Year to you and yours, my friend. Hugs on the wing!
Btw, Sue since the last few weeks I have been hearing that some people can hold about telepathic communication with animals.     Dear Sue I must say, this is such powerful poem, good that you shared it, missed the earlier posting and every line has the measured depth and the perfect rhyme in such power, it is difficult to chose one verse from the other. To start with in the first verse…spring in the step and the appointment with nature encompasses a whole world of bliss in front of us, such a profound thought. We feel the elation and the joy when we want to venture into nature, that too we have an appointment, sounds empowering and we have spring attached to our feet to take that delightful plunge. Second verse about the shift, there is many phases that comes in our life and every time we need to take a shift in our thoughts and in our mind and embracing the new landscape in our life.
    Yes, Hawks signifies so much about our life, living…the vision, the patience, the grace; so much part of how we should be living our life. Taking a flight with the Hawk and enjoying the glide in the clear sky…is the best thing that can happen to stimulate and magnify the world of our imagination, the mythical source of energy for our life; such a vital aspects of living a creatively engaging and a meaningful life… the aspiration, joining the flight to free, the unshackles from the hassles of routines and ride the joy of complete freedom.
    Then as I silently went through the video of Akiane, it was so beautifully juxtaposition with the thoughts that you have captured in the poem. It was divine. Unraveling the journey of painting and that comes from the passionate observation of what’s happening around us and there is the magic in the routine things that we have to keep doing day in day out and we have to do till we live our life. The mandate though it appears mundane. So true, the present is everything, it is the moment that matters in the making of the story of our life. Nothing that we can do to our past and if we know what is in-store in our future, the mystery is lost forever; and there is nothing that can make life joyful and exciting. Allowing every moment to unfold the way it has been scripted and we should learn the art of embracing those moments in its entirety and cherish the nuances of those moments. Indeed the unpredictability makes life more profound and it is the future that is where we have all new possibilities hidden for us and we should be ready to venture for self discovery, and accept what comes our way and the way it comes…therein lies the true beauty of life.
    Painting is story by itself and in the video, everything is encapsulated…the life of living a place away from the cacophony of city life and in the serenity of nature, and when we blend both we see there is a method in the madness, life has its flow and form, and it is for us to build the blocks with emotions and create the structure with thoughts the way we want it for us…thanks so much dear Sue for sharing this video, it has provided me the medicines I needed to heal myself and get back my inspirations and aspirations on board which was surreptitiously sliding away and had almost taken a tumble.
    Take Care!!!
    Hugs!!!
      Again dear Nihar, your eloquent observations of both my poem and the video shows you have so seen what I did and why I felt these two would blend together perfectly. Your words as always inspire me to keep creating.
      And you left these words which so spoke to me..
      life has its flow and form, and it is for us to build the blocks with emotions and create the structure with thoughts the way we want it for us
      So true… No matter what the script throws at us, it is for us to choose and create with our thoughts..
      Many thanks Nihar… You too take care and have a perfect weekend where I hope you can relax. 🙂
        The more I think on the video, the more I connect the way we all live our daily life and so many things keep happening around us and we go with the motion and when we pause and reflect at every such juncture in life we find something we have missed and many things could well have made a difference in our life, had we observed and absorbed it a little better.
        A painting is not always just a painting, and for a painter so much of emotions and feelings that get embedded during the process and we don’t realize as we are deeply immersed in the composition of our art and craft takes us in oscillating journey until we reach our destination…
        Though the writer writes the scripts, it is the director who changes to suit his or her interpretation of that subject and as an actor we have to play our role which may have its shades different than the writer and the director.
        Fostering creative needs such deep deliberations and deeper involvement in meaningful conversations for us…thank you dear Sue for such great exchange of ideas to keep our inspiration up and running.
        Bliss and Peace!!!
          I have long believed dear Nihar we are actors each playing out our scripts which the director only knows the last of our lines 🙂 Art for me has always been a deep connection, that takes me to a place which is removed from the stress of every day life. And was a savour of mine a fair few years ago..
          I am so very happy you enjoyed this post Nihar as much as I did.. Especially the video, a remarkable artist and gifted talent she has.. Whose own words hold wisdom for us all..
          Thank you and enjoy your week, may it also be stress free 😀 and creative 🙂
            I love to be engaged with art and keep working on the craft of creativity in multiple areas, just the way you do and you do it with such panache and with so much passion and power, lesser mortal like us are far from it…indeed it gives a magical experience when we put the imagination and creation in contest when we are wearing the hat of an artist and it like venturing into a new world, a wonderful new world that anchors us and entails a new energy with us, and there is solitude and solace in that dialogue we have with the essence of art and work of craft.
            Thank you so much dear Sue and take care.
    I believe the best day of my life is ahead. Still ahead, although, I’m almost 60. I don’t know, there have been nice moments, but I’m not even 1 small bit closer to what I am after than I was 50 years ago. Sad. Or motivating? I don’t know, I just know I wanted so much more from life which did not happen so far.
      May be Inese that is why you are still waiting my friend, For you are telling the Universe you are still waiting for that best day ahead. I know since your accident you have been through a rough time of it. So I can understand your despondency. But really when we step back and think of it, Now is the only moment we live and experience. So when we embrace that moment as being the best moment, more best moments unfurl 🙂 ❤ I know since I stopped living in the past and stopped wishing for the the future, Today is the best day :-D, but it wasn't always like that.. It took many years before I understood what I was doing to myself. 🙂 Lovely to see you xx ❤
      You will be surprised what has been understood and held in that beautiful heart inside. And the harder the journey the more profound and appreciative even those little things are. Because of them the more you can ‘see’ ❤
Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
