Meaningful Monday’s ~ Homelessness

A big concern in our modern-day world is the amount of people now homeless, and sleeping rough on our streets. This is also emphasised even more as we see the Mass Displacement of people who are being driven from their homelands because of war, or persecution of their religion. Who are then herded together like animals in disgraceful camps and forgotten about once the news headlines die down.

Today on my Meaningful Monday post, I want to bring the plight of Homelessness a little closer to home.

In my own home town here in England, the numbers of people sleeping rough have risen considerably. For those of you who are not familiar with a blog called Gallybloggers  This is a site set up by  Dewin Nefol  where you can also see his beautiful digital art creations.

I hope you will go and read more poems written by those homeless souls, which are submitted and presented by Dewin on the blog he created at Gallybloggers especially to bring awareness to their plight in sharing their poems and thoughts.  Dewin, whose home town is in Wales, reaches out to support these individuals, bringing awareness of those who are  in need. These are also proud and independent, intelligent people, whose lives have become  a product of circumstance.

I want you, just for a moment to think, what kind of stories have driven a person to live on the streets, to weather the storms, not only of wind, rain, bitter cold and snow. But the storms we who pass them by vent upon them. In our verbal abuse, violence, or by our lack of compassion, and our ignorance, as we pass them by trying to ignore their existence..

The World is filling up more and more with Homelessness, and for many that may mean just one pay-packet away from eviction of your own nice dwellings. There for the Grace of our Circumstances we all could walk in the shoes of Sole Man, a homeless person whose poetry hits a nerve in his poem DeadBeat

Have you ever stopped to consider the back story of these homeless people, and why they found themselves upon the streets?. Have you ever thought, that they may have been once an educated teacher, in business,  or a talented musician, an artist, a soldier, or  an abused youngster, and why they now live as they do.

I hope as you walk about your own towns and cities, and you come across a homeless person living rough on the streets, you do not walk on by.

But you Stop! and consider his back story and circumstance..

And instead of walking on by, you reach out a helping hand

and SEE the person in front of you.

Samhain’s Perfect Gift.

We may feel we are out on a limb.

~♥~

As the trees release their canopy letting go to float

The leaves like fallen time drift from hollowed Oak

Decay is part of Nature she never yet stands still

As birds and beasts hunker down to face the winter’s chill

~♥~

Samhain’s perfect gift is a time to release the old

Let go of those old grudges with the cobwebs of our souls

Collect that inner wisdom that is stored within the heart

Harvest new possibilities, now is the time to start

~♥~

So, stand firm in your roots and hold steadfast like the tree

Accept the Wheel is turning, though at times we may not see

Each Season has its purpose to regenerate and sow

Change comes to the World so that All our souls may grow.

Meaningful Monday’s~ Together

Every so often I love to post a video, or I often  listen to a piece of music which touches me in some way.

So I have decided to try, I say try, and put some of those video’s or music which have touched me in some way and share them with you on Meaningful Monday’s.

I know for many years for me when Monday’s came around, it would mean us going back into our routines of back to work, the school run, and dashing about and we would be wishing our lives away, waiting for Friday to come around.. I can honestly say since retiring I enjoy being in charge of my Now Moments Everyday.

I hope you can spare  a few moments out of your  own busy schedules to listen, relax and reflect and watch at your own leisure the video’s that many people make that inspire and uplift us..

Today I start by sharing one of my favourite Artists  her work and her video will do all the talking as I share this one entitled

Together!

Enjoy..

The Way.

The Way

Scotland 2016

“Where am I going?” the traveller said

As he stepped on the stones of Rivers Bed

“How far is my destination?”

As he continued on in procrastination

~~

“Which way leads home, how do I choose,

I am lost and afraid and quite bemused”.

“How long will it take for me to get there?

Have you got directions that you may share”?

~~

‘Welcome dear traveller as you join my road

Rest a while and set down your load

Too long have you carried your burdens

Replenish yourself and rest in my garden’

The weary traveller did as he was bade

Realising how long he had been a salve

In carrying guilt, and burdens so dark

He off loaded his emotions from out of his heart

~~

One by one he emptied them out

Laying them bare, he let out a shout

Seeing how each had weighed him down

He lifted his head, and no longer frowned

A trail over Derbyshire moorland.

“Thank you, my friend, for making me see

The Way that I trod was created by me

There are many paths but only One Way

And it took me so long in karma to pay

~~

But now that I see, The Way you have shown

My Spirit is cleansed, and Lighter I have grown

I honour my path and others on their walk

For we each chose our Light and our own dark

Each Prism a dance of love

“No Path is wrong, they just detour and steer

To learn deeper lessons, I see that quite clear

I may be torn and battered, my scars tell a tale

But no one upon the path will ever fail

~~

The traveller rose, giving thanks for his rest

One foot before the other, just doing his best

Life is beautiful when you see perfection in all things

The way is through the heart, open yours, let love sing.

The poem I wrote last week, and the above photo’s are ones I have previously shared here on my posts. You may have noted I have not been as active in the last last week here on WordPress, this is because I have been busy creating. I swapped my keyboard clicking, for the clicking of needles.. So until I have finished my latest project.. I may be a while in catching up with some of your posts..

Sometimes we have to follow our own particular roads, and at times I need to find that creative space and become the weaving woman.. It stills my mind, And each stitch, each step we take is creating The Way..

Learn to follow your own hearts, open them up to your own creativity, bring that Joy back into your lives, doing what You love doing..  Have a wonderful rest of the week and I will see you in a click or two..

Finding our Hearts.

 Finding our Hearts

Photo taken at Rufford Abbey UK.

Seeking, Searching, where do we begin?

Life times of debris beneath our skin

Digging, Delving, opening up old wounds

Peeling away shadows, expelling old fumes,

~~

Life times of hauntings, the nightmares that cling

Each layer we peel is not without its sting

Yet the deeper we go, the higher we rise

As we tare off the masks, revealing our true prize

~~

For when you find your centre, your true self

Its priceless, and more precious, this is true wealth

Life becomes so simple, and your head becomes so clear

When you let go of Lack, and release all of your fears

~~

Searching means exploring the power from within

Letting go of conditioning that began with original sin

The feminine is rising as the compassion and love expands

Embrace your brothers and sisters, extend a helping hand

~~

For the pain we see reflected are the revealing layers

Set to ignite Compassion through Unity and Prayers

So don’t let the Fear Divide us, for it weakens and controls

Reach deep into your hearts, Let Love be our Goal.

A Time of Gathering.

Autumn colours as I walked yesterday

Walking out in Mother Nature is a gift I treasure, watching the changing seasons, absorbing each one with all her different merits, from Spring, through to Summer. Now Autumn is truly here, and its that time of harvest, of ‘gathering in.’

The heather shows us her colours~ What colours do we show the world I wonder.

As I walked, I thought about how I love harvest time.. I love reaping in our harvest. And we all reap that which we have sown.

Yesterday we harvested some of our first carrots.. A success story, as we often do battle with the  carrot fly, and pests, as we do not use any kind of chemical pesticides, So the carrot fly  has in the past rendered our carrots inedible.  This year with forethought and planing, we set them late, in a separate bed, covered them with a fine-mesh and left them be… Yesterday we lifted our first bunch of the season, they were perfect once the soil was scrubbed from them.

Freshly picked yesterday

I wonder what forethought we put into our lives.. How well do we prepare our own Beds? And how often  do we allow those pests, those negative thoughts to gnaw and eat us away?

Each of us are unique individuals. Each different, yet we all belong to the same family.

Nature provides, and Nature takes.. Working close to nature gets you to see this fine balance that is working all the time.. Some years things will thrive, others not so. You get to see close up those spiders and their webs, I avoided some very large spiders yesterday as I picked Dahlias, they had weaved them between and only a trained eye spots them. And I have been caught out a time or two and received a nasty bite, that I had destroyed their web.  So I am mindful of them, and respectful as I can be, of the amount of effort that goes into weaving them..

We humans forget the power of Nature until she reminds us  with the might of her storms, as she bites into the fabric of our own homes, and wipes away all that we spend our time and energy in putting together.. We think we are all powerful, yet she can in seconds reduce us to rubble, reminding us she is never more dangerous than when we fail to respect her Power and  Might.

While out walking, seeing the berries for the birds to harvest, and nuts for the squirrels, in between the blackberries, I spied something that at first glance looked pretty..

Deadly Nightshade more can be found about this plant here

But in fact the above plant is pretty deadly, and their single berries should NOT be eaten.. It  can often be found growing along side Wild Blackberry bushes, so care should be taken when harvesting, though their Single cherry like berries are easily distinguished..

Life holds both shades of light and darkness..  Both grow side by side… Learning to discern and differentiate is what sets us apart.  But if we did not have the dark we would not then know the light..

Learning to bridge our differences~ Railway bridge.

We are living in a world where we travel across Time Lines, visiting far away countries we see cultures that can be very different from our own.  Yet within each nation, no matter what culture, people experience both Joy and Sorrow, learning to overcome obstacles just as we do.  We are all of the same family, the Human Race.

We need now more than ever to build bridges instead of walls that divide us. We do not need to wait until Spring to sow seeds.. We sow our seeds daily, in how our thoughts go out into the world.. We sow them with our compassion and with our love..

Gaia gives us daily our breath, our food and water.. She shows us how intricate we are weaved together.  She is also showing us how through our fragility we can Unify and grow together. She shows us how to reach out to each other, stretching a helping hand, as she brings us through her disasters, to help one another..

Her own time lines are altering, shifting, evolving as are we.  We can hear her rumbles..

When we gather together, and we align our hearts, when we each generate out Light and Love from our hearts. Those thought patterns  go out into Nature and into our communities we are sowing that which we each would like to reap. May we understand all is experience within our Human Heart Grid. The Web is what we weave around the Earth.

I hope as we each begin to understand, we are all of us co-creators upon our Earth plane. That we gather our strength in our Oneness, Our Unity Consciousness. Sow that which we want to reap. Then may we gather in the harvest that we sow.

May you all safely Gather in

Love and Light

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
