On one rainy afternoon I wanted to paint, yet as reached up into the top of my cupboard for a new canvas, out popped among them was this old painting I did when I was messing about one day quite a few years ago now.
I had never really liked the painting, and have never hung it, but I had hidden it away among my new canvas’ thinking one day I would paint over it.
Rainbow Angel.. Some of my more abstract art I did several years ago
I looked hard at it and thought well today is the day to rework it.. And as I painted I jotted down my thoughts as different feelings raced through my mind as I altered it to become the finished new painting you see below at the bottom of this post..
Here are the words that came to me while painting and when I had finished it.. They speak of the returning feminine energies, and how each of us hold these energies whether we are female or male… So I give you..
The Woman
The Woman with closed eyes sits in the circle of dancing light
She breathes in her femininity as she let go of all material form
Naked, she pulls around her energy cloak of rainbows as she prepares her Earth Song
She holds out her hands softly at her sides.
As she rocks gently back and forth, listening to her beating heart.
It matches its rhythm with that of her Earth Mother.
Generations before her have awaited
this time, when the feminine will rise again.
Their Compassion, love and strength will bring back the light from the shadows of the past

The Woman focuses her inner vision upon the Stars, and her low hum begins to fill the vortex of space surrounding her Aura.
With Dancing spectrum’s that spin in a Kaleidoscope of changing hues. Mixing and blending, the Woman weaves each thread with the notes of Love.
Each Chord a blend of forgiveness to each deed against the feminine energies. Her face is still, almost translucent as she let go of Anger, bitterness and sorrow.
The woman is no longer tied to the Earth but becomes detached from All Fear
Replenishing her emotions only with Love , Acceptance and Gratitude
The Vortex spins ever faster as time slips away, She gives thanks for all she has been and to all she is yet to become.
Knowing infinity will hold her forever in the moment of Now..

Thank you Brad.. I was trying too hard in the first painting to recreate another angel painting which is much much larger. So it didn’t live up to my inner image of what i wanted so I guess that is why I did not feel so connected to it.. 🙂 the image I am referring to is this painting that I did

Sometimes things get better when you wait a bit. It’s timing was right this time. I have often wished I could paint Angels. The one I saw comes closest to the large one you put in the comments. How do you paint pure white light? That’s been the holdup. Yours are absolutely wonderful.

Yes how does one paint pure white light that glows into an angelic form that only half resembles a human form.. For that is how my minds eye sees them.. I liked your first painting, Sue, but it did appear slightly unfinished. It does have an Angelic feel to it, but the energies don’t appear to be strong… or too strong – I can’t make my mind up. I waffle. I blame the heat!
Your new version is much better, however. I like the stars and the changes you have made to the woman, and you have painted in more energy and intention. It is more focused, I feel, with an eye on the infinity. And I love looking out to the stars!

And the heat we are not used to in the degrees it has been reaching.. I melted into a puddle and hardly slept the other night.. Even with fans blowing… 🙂
But must not grumble… As we wish for good summers and mild winters and that is what we have got.. 🙂

Dear dear Somali, you could not have described that better. For when I first painted some years ago.. I had wanted to convey something,within my minds eye, yet it would not fully come together.. Within the second make over painting I just allowed what I painted to flow naturally and it worked..
I think in the first instance, I was trying too hard..
The words I jotted down as they came while painting the make-over.. And I am pleased now I have published them.. For so many of you can see and ‘Feel’ them..

Thank you VK. the weekend was a great one with family visiting etc.. And yesterday Hubbies Big birthday, so all in all a great week.. 🙂 Many thanks for the compliments VK.. And yes you are right.. I feel ‘In the zone’ lol right now if there is such a zone.. but more content, despite all that is going off in the world.. And I am happy for at last hubby is seeing the News for what it and has been tuning out of the news this week, which he had to admit made him feel more peaceful and less stressed.. So there is hope.. I like them both very well, the first one and how you re-painted it. Your words to go with are wonderfully written. I am just back from visiting my son in Eastern WA. Quite a trip but worth it. Drove over 5hrs there last Thursday and 6hrs back yesterday…all dependent on weather and traffic. You are so gifted my friend in both art and writing. So pleased you got o visit your Son Renee, Wow, that was one Long drive.. When we go up to Scotland it can take over 7 hours in traffic. with a few breaks in between.. So know how those long drives can be..

It was quite a nice visit. They bought a house, which if you apply for it here can be on what they call the Historical Register. It was built turn of the century and has a huge front porch that I sat on quite a bit. The house is very large and on a very large piece of land (would not call it acreage) but very nice. They live an hour out of Spokane in a town called Ritzville. If you go on line you can see it if you like. Very quaint where everyone knows everyone sort of thing. A long drive to Scotland but to be so close…nice. I will never see these countries so it is so nice that some of my blogging friends can and show me photos as you do. Have a clinic appt today to see if my INR is behaving. It has been off for awhile now. Enjoy your garden for me, would you? I will picture myself there by your side. xoxo 🙂

My INR is slowly going down to where it should be and I am getting some rest. On Saturday I will go a short distance to the city of Olympia (the state capitol) to see my 8yr old grandson play baseball. He was chosen for the All Star Team. The weather should be nice. ♥ 🙂

So nice to be here at your place. A line especially stuck out for me, “Each Chord a blend of forgiveness to each deed against the feminine energies.” So important, yet so hard. I can be in forgiveness in the “big picture,” but if I look at the news on the computer, it is a harder task. This is a beautiful piece, Sue, the painting as well as your wise words. Yes it is a harder task to detach and be impartial.. For we embrace our humanness and our parental conditioning that have been passed down throughout time.. So we judge as we put on our labels and we find it hard to separate our preconceived ideas which have been indoctrinated into us from birth.. We fail to let go of judgements and so our views are coloured as we often take sides, in our human conditioning of right and wrong,
The woman spoke of all the injustices, and letting them go as she embraced her true self.. As she emptied herself of all that was, and filled herself up with all that there is.. LOVE..
When we all can do that dear Mary, I feel the world will indeed have ascended.. But it will take a giant leap in consciousness for us to manifest such a Shift.. But it is not impossible.. And to that end I keep Faith with keeping on keeping on.. 🙂

Your words struck deep chords within me, Sue, and they bring to mind a conversation I heard the other day. A young man, a hair stylist, was talking about his garden and how he loves loves flowers. Within what he was saying he explained that there was no way he could just throw out flowers or plants when he thinned out in his gardens and so told his friends about what he was doing so they could take the thinnings to plant in their garden to “share the Love” …. his words exactly. To hear those words from a man made my heart leap for joy and my face break out in a smile. YES!! Understanding is happening NOW! Gorgeous painting, gorgeous words, gorgeous woman (you). Feminine energy is one of the most powerful forces on earth but unfortunately it is also the most undermined power…most of the women are unaware and oblivious of the potent power of femininity. Ironically, the femininity power has been lost in journey towards woman empowerment. We all talk on woman empowerment but on ground we haven’t walked the distance, long way to go and squarely our fault, we all have to blame ourselves on the way we have dealt with the subject of femininity and female empowerment. Empowerment is great and freedom is such a wonderful part of our life and living, it is equally applicable to both gender and in disguise of protection, tradition and religion we propagate the discrimination and undermine the true essence of woman’s feelings and emotion that becomes the real reflection of life.
Rainbow of thoughts and the radiance of colour that comes out of the rainbow angel of your canvas is simply magical and there is that subtle mystery of life that can only be depicted in the words of femininity and energy around the feminine power that creates life and defines our living. Yes, with time we change the way we look at any art form and the way our outlook undergoes a change, and it is precisely how you have captured that transition of thoughts in life through the canvas and one can see the difference how the art takes different shapes and how the art navigates it ways to converge with our words…you have always mastered the art of words and images through your artistic canvas and the poems that you pen jells so well, there is a chord in the accord and it can only produce a symphony of thoughts and melody of music.

you know I always so love your comments, Well my friend, I cannot even begin to describe how truly magically you managed to capture in your words here, just the transformation I so felt..
You are so right.. Female empowerment is not the same as femininity for both genders hold the feminine as we do the masculine. But the feminine is now I feel coming forward even more.. We see this now even more often within the male gender especially as many are now coming to embrace their feminine side more openly.
But the feminine is deeper as you say, for the feminine is held deep within All of nature and now I feel her sensitivity, she no longer needs to just show her power, but her softer side which has always been there, but guarded is now emerging, like a bud in springtime slowly opening ..
Almost like the feminine in both species of male and female have been afraid to really let go of their emotional side.. I feel now this true deeper power of the feminine is emerging stronger, forcing both sexes to take deeper steps into seeing their true selves.. The release of letting go of unwanted baggage and the need to no longer hold onto karma or blame for the aeons of evolution of suppression and dominance, by both sexes..

Yes Sue, there has been definite shift in the outlook. Letting go one’s emotional side and true deeper power of the feminine emerging and one could see the change and a change for good. The baggage and the karma has long anchored us from being free and being our own self and the historically subjugation and the long period of unwarranted discrimination has been the major factor that keep us haunting.
With digital technology and with more mobility and economic freedom, things have transformed around us and the society is changing the rules of engagement and acceptance. New norms are taking ground but lot needs to be done to bring the semblance of order between the feminine and masculine forces of these world where the later has taken undue advantage and the suffering of the former has been a drag for the betterment of our society.
I agree this WP friends and space has been a wonderful invention and a beautiful discovery by all of us where we are cherishing our true freedom and also building the human engagement in its true sense without any bias, prejudices and filters and frames in between us, it is the thoughts and the topic that is common between us gets the focus that it deserves.

Oh, Sue! I’m sorry I’m late over here – but the transformation between then and now – it’s *so* symbolic, too! How beautiful and powerful and packed full of feminine energy. WOW! It’s symbolic of how we change in our lives – there she was in one form, and then emerged as another – more powerful, more in tune with what was needed and she brings with her all the lessons of her past and present.
But, yes, she leaves her form behind (as you say in the poem) and you know, now that I have watched a lot of those spirit science videos, I can see your words in a different light – the feminine energy, Atlanteans, and the hidden history – your beautiful words made me think of that. I’ve been using my amethyst crystals for awhile, but after watching the one on crystals, I now use more – and it’s all related – it comes back to your words here and the feminine energy, the connectedness…what you are saying here takes on a whole, new, deeper meaning for me. Sue, first my apologies. I had not seen any updates from your blogs except the one about the garden show on the garden one. I only came here because I got suspicious that something was amiss. I’m sorry that I missed so much! That out of the way….wow! Wow! Wow! I love it. When I saw the first photo I was relieved you didnt trash it, then dismayed you would paint over it, so scrolled quickly down and was again relieved that you elaborated on it:) I wonder if you always take notes as you create? Is that a part of your spiritual work or for your work on poetry or both? I’m very intrigued.

And updates are going a little haywire I think as I get some in my reader now, while others I have to back track to their blogs and not updates come in.. So its a bit hit and miss at my end too..
To answer your Q.. No not usually do I make notes while painting.. Except when I feel the urge.. Its not something I do automatically.. When I painted the Elder series, then my note book was handy.. And I felt inspired to note my thoughts as I transformed this painting… The words sort of wrote themselves, which often happens if I know I am being inspired by something ‘Higher’ 😉
So I was happy with what came.. as I felt I was merging with the feminine to what she is to become, as she let go of all that had gone before, in terms of her suffering.. So delighted you have discovered her.. And So pleased to see you 🙂 dear Linda.. xxx

Both the first and the new painting are beautiful in their own way..and I may be mistaken but the first one looks a lot younger while the new one…a lot “older” and wiser..and to me that makes perfect sense!. I also do love the words that came to you…it felt very powerful!

Lovely reworking Sue 😀 Can relate to this approach as I frequently archive stuff digitally (in the recycling bin lol 😇) and occasionally when it’s hauled out for a last review before deleting forever, can be transformed into a masterpiece of creativity!! Not very often mind you! Unlike your works of art mine usually end up dispatched back to the bin in double quick time!
