Connecting back with Nature

Travelling through the Trossachs in Scotland

Travelling through the Trossachs in Scotland

How quickly a week has flown, and yet so much got packed into one week I am still only just coming down to earth after our much needed break away in Scotland.

This visit we chose to visit the Isles so we travelled out to explore the Isle’s of Mull, Iona and Bute.  Each Isle had its own special surprises and I hope to share a little in the next few posts about each one of them. Lots more photo’s will be posted soon..

In the mean time I will leave you with a video I found today, and it explains better than I why all of us should spend more time out in Nature.. Absorbing her beauty and respecting her..

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and enjoy the words of Gary Turk.

Love and Blessings

Sue

I hope your time in Scotland was wonderful, Sue! Normally I do enjoy nature but at the moment we are bracing for a storm here on Canada’s west coast ((Mother Nature is expressing herself here today!)) ♥

Bee-A-U-Tiful! I hope to get to Scotland – someday – 🙂 – for now, I content myself with the ground in my backyard, the local fauna and flora that like living where I do (even the introduced selfish folks that don’t play nice – and say a lil, “Sorry, not here, buddy, but sure you are strong and will find somewhere else to call home – -) – Wonder what weeding sins I’ll have to pay for, in addition to “oops! you needed more (water, compost, protection from wind…) etc. deaths I have caused over the years? 🙂 I surely have many to answer for – on the other hand – I figure my ashes can re-mineralize the soil that I took so much from – why make it wait to break down the pricey casket, I ask? 🙂 I’m okay and not planning departure anytime soon, but I do think about such things, and this post reminded me why I do – thank you! 🙂

Tamrah, Always love to hear your thoughts, and I am sure Mother Nature has had more helping handouts from you than hindrances .. As for the weeding sins.. I should get the first prize on that one.. LOL.. I lost count of the ‘Sorry Wonderful weed, you will have to go’ I have said.. Telling them they should not be so good at growing EVERYWHERE, then I would not have to pull up so many.. 🙂 And I am pleased you are for this Earth for much time to come yet Tamrah.. You have much more irrigation to do around your home.. Yes I said irrigation not ‘irritation’ and know as you are smiling now… LOL.. Sending Lots of HUGS your way dear friend, we do not touch base often but we always speak the same language when we do. Love and Hugs xxx Sue xx

Sue, it is a beautiful video, thanks for sharing. It is such a refreshing feeling to see and cherish the beauty of nature, we take it for granted and we overlook the power of nature that can change us, life us and though the very nature of human beings is to break free and be with the nature, but with the gadgets around and the invasion of the virtual world, we have virtually cut off from the core of the nature…we have become chained and have created the cage around us.

These all are having involuntarily and we have stopped reflecting and have become prisoners of our own making. So nicely captured in the video the thoughts that matter and how we should be consciously moving towards embracing the change, the change within us and by temporarily boycotting virtual space and creating our rightful place in the physical nature…though we should be controlling our animal instincts but the basic instincts of being part of the nature should be allowed to grow and gain its momentum to make us feel better and brighter with things we deal and dwell…

Good to hear about your lovely visit to Scotland and you must have loads of good memories and beautiful experience to share with us and we are eagerly waiting to see the wonderful world of nature through your beautiful lens.

    Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you dear Nihar, good to have you visit my friend.. And yes a wonderful time and many memories to keep.. Mother Nature holds the greatest power of all, and we often forget just how much power she has until she lashes us with her super storms.. Thankfully here we are not in the path of such great storms, but my heart goes out to all who were in her path and have suffered..
Some photo’s will be posted this week Nihar so hopefully you will catch them.
      Sending my thoughts your way

I am so happy for you that you had another nice break…looking forward to hearing all those special connections with Nature. 🙂
Mother Nature has been so kind with us though she set one of her friends, wind a little loose but she sent us rain…a much needed blessing for this part of the globe.

He found me! … Wierd how “destiny” … ? Works! I had joined Facebook by suggestion of another “British” well known Esoc worker, then after ca. 6 years of unsuccessful waiting … no result, I even wrote to some who from I wasn’t sure … being in Canada – USA or otherwise spread out over the globe, then I decided to get out of Facebook… I later rejoined, then due to work … ( change in position) I was suggested that I should Not be in “Social networks” I let it idel… then again after my wife suggested that I put in a photo of myself ( which I did … the one with a buzzard on my arm taken at my wife’s working place ( old folks home ) ) In the shortest of time … he wrote to me on Facebook and asked if it was me! Strange… destiny?

I often have found myself using the word idle … some people have the impression that it means … lazy … it’s not … the best way to describe the word is to use it in quoting Einstein … The idle man does not know what it is to enjoy rest. Sorry Sue … I wasn’t sure if you are in UK or USA! With all those followers! I have had at the most 6 for caring. 3 years … then in the last 4 months … something happened .. what? I’m not sure. It started going up … now I’m at 86! Just before I decide to no longer have “followers” but only “friends” if I may call them that ? Ever asked yourself what or who REAL Friends are… or do ? How do we categorise a person we know well as a Friend? I was confused at the beginning … but now it’s clear … FRIENDS… are those persons that remain and help one when everyone else leaves you.

Rick Warren once said … Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can’t make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you’ll never get back. Your time is your life. That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.
It is not enough to just say relationships are important; we must prove it by investing time in them. Words alone are worthless. “My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.” Relationships take time and effort, and the best way to spell love is “T-I-M-E.

I can’t live without exploring nature every day, however some people don’t open their hearts , eyes, ears and noses to appreciate their natural surroundings and can be quite rude and negative. It’s very sad. A beautiful video. Enjoy your trip. :-).

We did LG.. and had a wonderful time.. And yes I know what you mean.. Some people never look up from their phones to appreciate what is around them.. And I some times wonder why they are out for a walk.. I do take my phone just as security but its firmly switched Off.. For emergencies only xx . The Isles were wonderful and good weather to see them too.. Glad you enjoyed the video too xx Hugs

Hey sweetie – glad you got away to Scotland! I’m just returning from some time in the Irish countryside – didn’t want to say anything ahead of time, don’t like people knowing when I’m away ’til I’m home 😉 Great time of year for it, hope you, too enjoyed the chill in the air and the peace of open spaces. And we got sunshine every day! 😀 ❤

OMigoodness, Sue. Just what I needed this Saturday early afternoon. I so love and appreciate when I can still “get outdoors” with my imagination and living vicariously through you. Thank you for this lovely video and message. I look forward to catching up with your wonderful adventures in Scotland and the British Isles. After all, often times I reflect myself there and I wonder why. Now I know. Thanks you for sharing your beautiful heart. I was actually busy at work on my other items, when I came across a reply that I had written to you and saved “offline,” and so here I am. Who can be away for too long, and who has never left? Many blessings during this gorgeous Autumn. Xo Ka

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
