Reconnecting to Self

You know I have to smile at how this Universe is working within my world right now.

Last week I was all set to return to the World of Blog. But events and emotions made me reluctant to switch on the internet and my new computer that I had treated myself to on the 13th June. As I attempted to block out the world for a time. Even films on TV, I found myself not being able to stay in the room. I would have to take myself away from their vibration.

When I did switch on my new PC I then spent time adding in the new software which I had bought, as yes, this game of Microsoft upgrades becomes expensive! Imagine my dismay as my new computer then began to have technical problem that it needed to be returned, resulting in me purchasing a different model. The good news is the Store installed all my recently bought new software free of charge on my new PC.

So I thought, O.K. Universe, I am listening, I need to withdraw from the world for a while, so and I spent time reading, revisiting old books, I practiced more on my guitar, and I spent quality time in the garden. Meditating and listening to my inner voice. Looking up at the Moon when visible from clouds, shedding the need to be anywhere other than present within my own skin.

I spent time enjoying moments such as our 5-year-old Granddaughters Dance presentation. Playing games in our garden as our imagination knew no bounds, as I became a Sea Witch and my granddaughter was the Mermaid Princess as we swam amid the Sea Kelp which was the sheets and towels hung out to dry on my washing lines. We ate from shells and we created Magic as we became invisible. As the Sea Witch was defeated by the invisible Prince of the Sea.  We jumped through plastic hula-hoops which were entrances to caves, and we swung on the swing that was our transport though a portal into another realm. One that was laced with beauty as we put flowers in our hair as we chose more to press and dry for later.

We laughed as we dribbled ice-cream down our chins as we saw who could push their ice-cream to the bottom of the cone first as we nibbled it to the end.

And Grandma became the child as she abandoned her adult shell as she morphed into her own 5 yrs old self again.

Sometimes it’s good to Step back  and reconnect with Self..

I shall be reconnecting Very Soon..

Love to you ALL

~Sue~

Great adventure you two went on…Reconnecting joyfully to the child within can be so healing. It is not often unfortunately that we let ourselves go so far as to re-enter childhood. We resist and pull away when all along we truly need it. Glad you had such a delightful journey and you are embracing your quiet time, your talents and your desires…Keep on keeping on DW 🙂 Much love….VK ❤

I recently had an enforced absence from the internet, dear Sue, and I must say it was such a pleasing contrast, and also a highly productive time. As a grandparent myself, I can totally appreciate the delight in becoming a carefree five year-old again. Have you tried doing some baking with yours and surprising them with cracking a raw egg over their little head? They just love it – a firm recommendation! H ❤

With all due respect, Hariod, I do not think its a good idea to surprise a child by cracking an egg over its head.
      1) raw eggs have salmonella on them, frequently.
      2) it can give the massage that the child is “an egghead”
      3) the child could become injured when the egg cracks, by falling (due to the surprise), have some of the raw egg land in the child’s eye, etc.
      4) it’s an assumption that the child likes eggs, many children don’t like the taste of eggs, they may have a disposition that is Vegan.
      5) I can’t see how cracking an egg on a child’s head without asking — and then warning them — is not a form of assault.

I am sure I knew Hariod would not be putting her grandchildren in Jeopardy dear Genie.. And I took Hariod’s
comment in the Spirit it was given.. In humour..

Thank you dear Genie for your wonderful concern.. But I am sure no child or animal were injured during this exchange of eggs my friend..
Much love to you sweet friend.

Seems dear Hariod the energies are enforcing many of us here at WP to take an enforced Break.
I smile at your egg breaking.. we have done a few egg breaks on the floor but not over heads :-).. I started baking with her when she was 3.. I remember her tears as I encouraged her efforts to break an egg in the bowl and it went on the floor instead..
She can now master making a Yorkshire Pudding herself.. by mixing the ingredients .. And many a Happy Hour is spent in the Kitchen.
Good to see you Hariod.. ❤ xxx

Watching the BBC right now. Forgive me for taking the liberty to pen my thoughts on an event bound to have far-reaching consequences. Really sad, Sue, to see Brexit taking effect. Apart from damage it is causing to stock markets worldwide, I am extremely saddened to see liberal values taking a beating. It looks like more and more people are increasingly confining into their own turf, slanting towards self-interest, and xenophobia. Eventually folks will realise that the drift towards secessionism will only weaken economies by shutting out free flow of talent, investments, free interaction between peoples, stimulation of demand and competition. I know you are a liberalist at heart. Good luck to Britain…

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
