Putting Life Into Perspective.

It was snowing when we travelled up to Scotland

It was snowing when we travelled up to Scotland

Have you ever stopped to think how fortunate we are?

As you walk in your shoes, or drive in your car

Did you ever consider what a privilege it’s been

To travel and enjoy the places you have seen.

~~

Have you ever given thanks for precious gifts of life?

Like a healthy New-born child and a path without much strife

We take many things for granted in our modern world today

Surrounded by our gadgets in our homes that we display

~~

Have we got lost upon our ‘Earth Journey’ here?

Locked into screens of pixels, updating every year

Education at our fingertips, we travel in mega-bites

Each searching from our engines as we take in the sights.

~~

Have you noticed the World is changing and it’s letting us all know?

There is more to life than possessions; it’s time for us to grow

As we ‘Wake-Up’ to the facts, long hidden from our view

The ‘Material’ is being taken, Waking up Me and You

~~

So every loss we feel, is another important part

Every ‘Letting Go’ is a chance for a new start

Each thing removed, is pushing the ‘Great Shift’

As we alter our Perspective, so the Energies can lift..

There is always something that puts life into perspective for us.. I wrote this poem the other evening after shutting down my PC in frustration.. The weather here is lovely today, so I have been busy in the allotments, So lots to share soon on my Gardening blog.. Time is beating me, but then time is but an illusion.. Smile

I am working my way slowly around all of you.. So if I haven’t arrived yet, those who have left me comments I am working my way through to you one by one..  I will arrive when I am meant to Open-mouthed smile

In the mean time enjoy a few more photo’s of Scotland.. And there will be a scheduled post for Saturday in the conclusion to The Vision Quest..

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

There will be more to pictures of Scotland I am sure in the future 🙂 Here is the Wallace Monument Link as it didn’t appear in the slide show. http://www.nationalwallacemonument.com/

Along with one for Stirling Castle

Have A Wonderful Day..

I think I just caught a bug that’s going around in this area Sue. I’m surprised it took this long for it to catch up to me, because everyone I know has it or has had it. It was just a matter of time. Brings up the age old question of why sick people don’t stay home while they are contagious, and pass on that particular need they all have to spread the misery to as many of the rest of us they can find. Stay well Sue, and have a great weekend. Hugs. Angie <3.

Yes it is Suzi… What we visualise internally transfers to out there .. So its important to radiate Gratitude and love and hopefully one day enough of us will help create it ‘out there’ too.. .. In the mean time lets keep hold of the joy within. xx and spread it when we can.. xxx

Love your poem! And reminds me that when I get caught up in “achievement” and “success” (which is all too easy working in a university environment), I must think of Mother Earth who is telling us that we’re not build for gadgets and looking at screens all day long. We’re supposed to connect and share energy, rejuvenate and love…sending you hugs this day! xo

I am sure dear Cyndi that you do give Mother Earth more than enough thoughts.. Along with your creative side.. You share lots of natural energy with us, And gadgets are part of our progression as we evolve.. I just hope we do not forget that we are part of Nature or forget that Nature keeps us alive..

Lovely thoughts. It occurred to me that many feel chaotic these days – like time is speeding up. But if we note the dramatic and rapid changes in the planet, does it not follow that our bodies are having an evolutionary challenge keeping up with it all? Imagine the earth’s body! Aloha, Sue. Enjoy the day ❤

Thank you for a very beautiful share Sue, poem and photo’s! 🙂
And a little bit extra, after backing everything up on your computer, maybe a reload of the entire operating system may do the trick, unless of course (like me a while back), after doing that the culprit raised its head. My hard drive was losing the plot and ‘going to the great disk in the sky’ 😀
New drive and I was off again 🙂
Oh, and if you can get rid of that Vista, it is an atrocious thing to use (mind you, I do understand finally being comfortable with using something), but if you put the word out, you may be able to find a copy of Windows 7 somewhere (not Windows 8 or 10, it is too big a jump, and personally, an atrocious waste of time for everyday users, plus your older machine may not handle those systems). Windows 7 bypasses 40 million things that Vista gets hung up on. Very user friendly, just that getting used to things slightly different from Vista….maybe it’s time for change 😀

I love these lines: “Education at our fingertips…and also love the subtle message of loving Mother Earth. Profound thoughts! Thanks for putting many things into perspective, hope we all get the time and inclination to chew and digest them.

This such a profound thought Sue, it has given me the much needed food for thought for the weekend. I fully agree, we are unknowingly getting devoured into the daily grids and routines of life forgetting the precious gift of life that we are blessed with. Life of human being and the freedom to travel and enjoy the wonderful nature at our disposal and so much of beauty and bounty of nature that has been showered onto this mother earth.

We get swayed by the materialistic things in life, little significance but we attach undue importance when we have so much of natural treasure around us. It is an illusion and we are running behind that mirage of wealth in life. Possession is what we get stuck to and our life starts revolving in that space of accumulated wealth.

Indeed the world is changing and changing so rapidly we need to change ourselves to adapt to change around us and being smart and quick in adapting to change makes our life much more beautiful and truly meaningful. We are getting locked in the digital space and loosing the art of unlocking the true wealth hidden in the world of nature.

The perspective matters and changing our perspective comes with being open to new ideas and being ready to change and newer perspectives are the harbinger of good things in life. These chosen gallery of Scotland is a lovely reflection of how much you have engaged yourself with the nature and enjoying life in its true sense and we all love the way you love the nature around you, it is an inspiration for me and always looked forward to reading such powerful thoughts that keeps coming from your desk.

I will be completing the Vision Quest…
Have a beautiful weekend and with lots of hidden joy from the hearts of nature.

I heard the sweet voice of the “Woman” calling me and being loving and caring as always;she sweetly recited her verses close to my ears. She always speaks deep into my soul, and I never ever forget Her …
Nevertheless,my never ending c….. up syndrome struck again and kept me away from Her for a long time.I dare not roll up or down in case I see what I have missed.

I view life in a similar way that I view death. Is it the ‘going-around-in-circles’ concept that makes them so similar to me? ‘To die”, and that will be one more thing within that circle.

Your poem brought the saying stop and smell the coffee to mind. We do need to slow down. We live in a face paced world that we are moving through it too quickly. Scotland looks beautiful. I’m slowly trying to catch up on my visits too. I’m goingredients day by day until one day I will catch up to today.😆

It’s so important to change perspective. To stop thinking about what went wrong that day and be thankful for the 1000s of things that went right–down to each breath that you took and each beat of your heart. 🙂

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
