That’s good! The weather’s been rather changeable here so we’ve just lit the fire. I must get out my paints again once I’ve finished my next upholstery project. Painting is for the spring and summer months.

I’ve still got three box cushions to complete. I could post a couple of shots of the first seat cushion and the seat of the bergere sofa. It’s been hard because I haven’t done any sewing since the age of 16! I was pleased with it though..

I promised to create some art. Not yet. No paints on hand but I have 2 boxes of trusty crayons and paper, mandalas in an adult? coloring book 🙂 so I am all set. The painting will happen, when the resources are in place. thanks for reminding me.

Pastel has a special quality in the right hands producing beautiful pictures.
Merlin looks real enough to pat but that is not a good idea with pastel.

I agree Jack.. Not a good idea at all with pastel.. I learnt a trick.. Spray the finished picture with hairspray. 🙂 it acts just as good as the sealants from the art shops at half the cost :-).. So nice to see you back from your walk-about! 🙂 _/\_

Well, I have pictures somewhere. He is a mean sucker though. He was traumatized during the return from Singapore, now he has PSTD. Strange that one. Though he still interacts on a weird level, he is simply mean to most and not to be trusted.

A great pastel version of Merlin Sue, you are a Spirit of many talents.
We recently were given a beautiful pastel when in Chile, and any artist that can use pastel in their creations are definitely way up in the Artistic Masters league.

Though I can also say I have not always had success 🙂 I remember one drawing where I couldn’t get the eye right and rubbed a hole in the paper. 🙂 teaches you to let go of your creations…. 🙂 reminded me of the Mandala’s and how long they take to create in sand.. to be swept away 🙂 Mine was crumpled up in the paper bin 🙂
