The Universe Speaks

First of all, Thank you to all of my followers and friends for your amazing patience, and lovely presence you all bring when you visit.. Most who know me by now know I take time out every now and again..

I needed some time to refresh and disconnect for a time from the world of Technology. So I feel another Story about to be born. Many thanks for all of your wonderful comments, and I also just want to say welcome to all the new subscribers who clicked follow during my absence.. So nice to see so many new faces.

We Push through what ever load is piled on top

We Push through what ever load is piled on top

Part One.

The woman knew from the feelings within her body that it was time to change her energy.. The constant days of relentless rain and the feelings of being hemmed in encouraged her to seek alternative pastimes.

She picked up Knitting, that went wrong, she painted, but her heart wasn’t in it. Books she picked up and put down..  The tiredness enveloped her mood as she flitted from one project to another.

Follow the Signs along the way

Follow the Signs along the way

She wanted stimulation something New to focus her energy upon. The Universe Spoke… But it took a few weeks before she understood what she was being shown. Yet the Signs were there pointing her in the right direction..

For weeks  just after Christmas the signs had been staring her in the face, as her thoughts had reached out but in the same instance she had rejected the idea that was being shown her.. She was too old to start this new adventure she thought..

Week after week she travelled the same road and time after time the Universe stopped her in her tracks to show her what it wanted her to learn..

The Road we travel

The Road we travel

And time after time she gave herself the same old excuse, she was too old to start a new venture, and she walked on by what the Universe was showing her.. Even though she lingered longer than normal to view what the Universe was showing her.

Dry stone walls built to last ~Barriers we all build~

Dry stone walls built to last ~Barriers we all build~

Some weeks past and again out the blue the Universe was now shouting at her to take Notice.. and she almost toppled and gave in to the craving inside of her.. But again she walked on by..

Defences are only obstacles to over come

Defences are only obstacles to over come

She forgot about this craving for a few weeks, and carried along her normal routines, dismissing what had been planted within her mind..

Togetherness within the family circle

Togetherness within the family circle

But the Universe was not going to take No for an answer. It had other plans for the woman.. And it was determined to make it’s self heard one way or the other..

This story is just a little appetiser and More will follow..

The above photo’s are part of more I will show you at a later date when I went into Derbyshire on Valentines Day with my Husband.. They are of Beeley Moor   And Rowsley

Have a Beautiful Weekend all of you..

Blessings Sue

‘She wanted stimulation something New to focus her energy upon.’ – This line got me hooked to the story. I can’t tell you Sue how well I can relate to it. Don’t we all need some stimulation that energizes us and keeps us going in life? Look forward to the second part.

Change is always hard. Sometimes we get little nudges along the way, and when we resist we sometimes get shoved right in! It’s something about those timeouts that seem to put us where we need to be. It’s almost as if we need to store the energy to be able to do it. Best wishes for wherever you’re headed.

    Hi Sue,
Love the photos and great to read a new entry. Is this the series you alluded to late 2015? I kept waiting for it to arrive 🙂 Your country is gorgeous I really hope to visit one day. You are an awesome story teller and inspire so many. I sense you are in a good space now and hope that continues. On some level I realize that life here ( atleast until we all enter 5D) is planned with conflicts, tests, dilemmas, hardships, etc, but it would be nice if at some point we accrued enough mileage points that we could cash them in for renewed clarity and peace. While typing this I realize that our inner knowingness is forever a resource for clarity and peace. But at times it can be difficult to access..

    love to you,
    Linda

Yes you guessed right.. as my many projects which I started waned bar the one which the Universe had ideas about. 🙂 I will link the post as I said there would be a part two didn’t I.. and I agree.. We are each of us finding a new level of finding our inner peace.. As we shed the layers and expose and peel away our emotional baggage.. 🙂 Been doing that too.. Which will come out in Barbara’s Awakening Post on the 23rd when I take part in her update for February Awakening Posts.. That has been drafted for a while.. I just added photo’s yesterday..
Hope you are feeling brighter too Linda.. and Yes.. Feeling much better within my self this week. 🙂 Sending you lots and LOADs of Love xxx 🙂 ❤

Now you have me on ‘pins and needles’ but hopefully, whatever this new venture is it will not keep you away from this site as I would hate to lose contact with you. You help to keep me ‘other directed’ but more ‘directed’ toward myself. I, too, have always been looking (for a lifetime) at what it is I need to do for myself and again, perhaps, it is so close I can touch it but the connection is never quite made. Do take care. xoxo

    Hey Sue,

Those Derbyshire High Peaks are timelessly beautiful in every sense of the word 🙂 How fortunate you are to live amongst their splendour and have time to stand atop their sumptuous crown and enjoy such panoramic perspective. How my mind raced with memories of years ago and the journeys made across their windswept wilderness. They were near perfect moments of delightful abandonment: captivated by miles of rolling form and the gentle flow of sweep and swale.

Sue, you do indeed spin a magic tale and once more I found myself back there again following your trail of blazing images and being led like the tumbling river from summit to vale. And in the process my thoughts turned to Alfred Lord Tennyson’s ‘The Brook’ as I ventured from high ‘haunts of Coot and Hern and made a sudden sally, and sparkled out amongst the fern, to wander down a valley. By thirty hills I hurried down and slipped between the ridges, by twenty thorpes, a little town, and half a hundred bridges’.

And I see from the wonderful comments already written here that I am certainly not the only reader eager to return and read the next instalment of your teasing tale! I hope you’ll not be keeping us in suspense for to long before the big reveal 🙂

Perhaps I could leave you with a short few lines of verse written to Sister Christine from New York on 6th January 1896 by Swami Vivekananda. It’s titled ‘To An Early Violet’, which I’m sure you’ll know well as an early spring flower. When it blooms in late winter, before the advent of spring proper, it has to rally against the chill, and this poem is meant to give encouragement to stay strong in heart and soul through changing circumstances. I found it most encouraging as I hope you will as well…

~ To An Early Violet ~ By ~ Swami Vivekananda ~

What though thy bed be frozen earth,
    Thy cloak the chilling blast;
What though no mate to clear thy path,
Thy sky with gloom o’ercast –
What though of love itself doth fail,
    Thy fragrance strewed in vain;
What though if bad o’er good prevail,
And vice o’er virtue reign –
Change not thy nature, gentle bloom,
    Thou violet, sweet and pure,
But ever pour thy sweet perfume
    Unasked, unstilted, sure!

All best wishes Sue as you warm with the rekindled fire of a new adventure.

Take care to dream well as you always do 🙂

    Namaste

Dear Dewin, first may I say how lovely it is to have you comment once again, and such an eloquent comment it is for sure.. Yes we are very privileged to be within short driving distance from my childhood roots and Derbyshire will always be the love of my heart.. So many memories tied up there from childhood to courting days.. And its beauty changes with the Seasons and always delights what ever time of year I go back to visit..
I know you are familiar with some of the countryside around there so I know you will understand how such natural beauty of the land holds that light within our hearts..
You couldn’t have chosen a nicer passage from Lord Tennyson’s ‘The Brook’ a favourite of my Grandfathers, whom I think my love of poetry stems from.
I had not read the The Early Violet before and it swept me away.. I have wild violets within my garden whose leaves are heart shaped, the Universe certainly knew what it was doing when it created them 🙂
Many thanks Dewin for your most wonderful comment..
      Blessings Sue

        Hey Sue,

You are most welcome, thank you 🙂

I believe Tennyson’s poem was also one of my Grandfather’s favourites and no doubt an interest originating from his own classical education and ‘Tom Brown School Days’. This Romantic Era poem is far more than a mere reaction to the consequences of the Industrial Revolution and its effect upon the beauty of the landscape. It alludes specifically to the transient nature of human beings by comparing their temporal existence with that of Nature’s eternal promise. I have always found it mesmerising, a poem that immediately pulls me back to Nature with every joyous read.

To hear you wax so lyrically and tenderly of your Derbyshire days is a gift in itself: nostalgic sentiment expressed with undoubted sincerity and wonderful treasures for carriage within your heart. Beautiful memories of time and place do most certainly radiate their own special light to always shine across our life time. I hope so much to one day return to the Peaks and revisit those high haunts once more.

So very pleased you enjoyed Vivekananda’s uplifting poem Sue. It is deeply warming 🙂

I had no idea as to the shape of the wild Violet leaves but adore the fact the Cosmic Artist signs off their own piece of art with such breath-taking flourish and panache 🙂

        Have a wonderful week. Blessings.

My Grandfather spent the whole of his adult life beneath ground within the coal mines.. In days when you dug with shovel and pick and water was up to your knees.. His escapism was his allotment and books.. Poetry.. and Cowboy books 🙂 One of his favourite poems was The Song of Hiawatha by Longfellow.. I remember thinking as a child this was not a poem but a book.. not realising its length went into chapters.. But my Granddad could recite passages off by heart and I loved listening 🙂 And pleased you discovered the shape of wild violet leaves 🙂 have a wonderful week, and thank you again for your visit..
I hope you get to visit the Peak District again 🙂 It is on par with Beautiful Wales.. 🙂

            Hey Sue,

You’ve such loving memories of your Grandfather and speak of him with fond warmth and affection. I imagine he cherished you and his time spent making you smile as much as you did listening to his recitation and storytelling. It also seems that you have inherited several of his passions as well: books, poetry, the allotment, Nature and of course, your interest in the Native tribes of American history.

Thousands of people like your Grandfather really did have to make huge compromises and untold sacrifices to facilitate our transition towards industrialisation, and I think it of immense importance that their history, and our social history, is never forgotten or ever under appreciated. They really were the soldiers of industry who fought the earth, sea and sky with pick and spade to bring fire to the hearth.

Sincere thanks for the Longfellow reference…his name has curiously surfaced several times recently since my initial introduction to him just before Christmas 2015, and as a consequence I shall pursue his work further with greater interest and earnest intent. Of course, I had to have a quick cursory look before replying to your comment and came away with a rather interesting little factoid to share with you. It ties in most readily with the main theme of your post. This extract is taken from: http://www.theotherpages.org/poems/hiawatha.html

’[…] Much of Longfellow’s work was based on The Myth of Hiawatha compiled by Jane and Henry Rowe Schoolcraft. […] Jane was an Ojibway Indian whose name translated into English as ‘The Woman of the Sound Which the Stars Make Rushing Through the Sky’. Is this yet another synchronous link to your thoughts on listening when the Universe speaks? Oh how your Grandfather must be smiling right now and sharing in your happiness! 🙂

The shapes of wild Violet leaves are indeed a creation of wonder and your generous factoid sated both my pragmatic and idealist appetite very nicely, thank you Sue 😉

The Welsh landscape is both striking and serene and there are many places I have already visited that are so beautiful one can hear Angels sing, and I shall return to those places and venture to discover others equally as magical as well. Derbyshire and the Peaks will always remain a joyous memory because it was a special time in my life and a major turning point in so many ways. Indeed, I left there to come to Wales, trading one area of outstanding natural beauty for another of equal merit just waiting to be explored.

Thank you for the exchange of ideas and fascinating discussion. Looking forward to your next post and forthcoming reveal!

Have an inspired and fruitful week.

            Take care.

We hibernate each night, unlike our cousins who take time out for a whole season. In this time when our part of the planet decides to rest and recuperate we find it hard, with our inherent urge to be doing, to take note of the lessons she hands out to us with each breath and every step we take, especially when it seems that confusion reigns as the blossoms bloom before spring has sprung!

Dearest heart, I feel what you have been going through. It seemed as though I had slipped into the well and looking for a way out once again. I’ve started reading some inspirational books to get me moving and see if there is still a chapter left for me. Getting the creative juices flowing in a way that makes me feel alive again. I’m anxious to see what you come up with here. Maybe it will help me as well. Blessings and hugs.

I think dear Marlene.. since I retired, I had lost a little of that spark.. you know that ignites us to feel of use, and even my knitting and crafts no longer were creating that spark.. So this unusual direction is definitely keeping keeping my vibrational juices flowing 🙂 and I am Loving it 🙂 haha.. I am once again like that 5 yr old 🙂 xxx 😀

Ooh… looking forward to the next part, Sue. I love how the Universe tries again and again to get messages through to us – if only we could take notice sooner.
Hope you’re having a good weekend, Sue!

We are so much a part of this universe and the energy that keeps moving from one form to other, from one state to the other and life is a connected phenomena with nature and the way we nurture our senses. Life is a flow and it keeps taking us in different directions depending what it faces and how it manages to wade away the hurdles. Change in inevitable and change is the harbinger of new energy and new vigor in life and but all change has its different flavor and treatment is different and it is an art to embrace change without getting fluttered and flustered with the impact of change.

Yes Sue, there are moments in life where we desperately look for the change and there are occasions where things demand change, we keep getting signals and we keep getting signs that warns us and that keep us on watch and that tell us it is time change course and many times we miss the indications and fail to follow the path of change that is taking us to newer places and opening better opportunities.

Deeply profound thoughts captured in such lucidity in this post and it has deeper meaning to interpret. I am trying decipher the layers within the words. Yes, we need that break to make our mind to take the thoughts, the disconnect from technology is the break that gives us the connection with self.

Sue, it is always a pleasure being here and learning so much from you, you keep motivating, inspiring and give the direction when I get distracted with the digital distraction.
    Have a lovely week ahead.

And it is always a deep pleasure dear Nihar to read your thoughts you leave me here.. We learn from each other, and I think our Universe is always nudging us to get in line with the energy flow.. But we are often distracted to see.. or perhaps we can be stubborn in our ways and caught within the ruts we dig ourselves into.. So very often change is simply a matter of trying something different.. Yet so many are stuck within their ways..
So learning to listen when the Universe Speaks, is also an art.. Often we are too busy talking to stop to listen to what our true ‘inner-higher’ selves are trying to show us.. When we do.. well, we see there is much joy still to be had in learning to follow a new adventure, for there is still so much we can learn.. 🙂
Blessings my friend and I hope to be visiting you soon 🙂

Indeed Sue, so much true we have stopped listening to our own voice. It is so much noise, the cacophony keeps has disconnected with self. We have stopped living with the nature and have also stopped understating the signs and signals given by nature, they speaks so much and we don’t listen and complaint about the disaster and the destruction inflicted by nature, they do so when we stop hearing their pain. There’s a limit and there is a space beyond which we need to control and take stoke of things in life…
Change is inevitbale and change is what makes life beautiful but we have ceased to see that aspect of life and we have made life more mechanical and not decipher the patterns in the mechanics of life and living.
So nice to hear from you and its been relatively long and I can understand, you had your lovely break and so much to catch up, not easy…
        take care…
Sue, have a lovely week ahead…

Sometimes we just refuse to listen. It’s funny how the universe will give us what we need. Even if we can’t see it at the time. Great post Sue!

A great appetizer Sue, I hope the woman can find her way back to the beauty of the Universe. I was in a definite pothole on my journey through life, enthusiasm had waned as well as appreciation of what Nature was showing me. My eyes opened wide when I saw firsthand natures wonders in Chile. Hope you will enjoy my pictures in my future posts.
    Keep smiling Girl.

Wow! It would be so nice to live in an area that wasn’t filled with concrete and brick buildings. I’ve been a little restless lately and can’t quite put my finger on what it is I’m wanting to do. I suppose I need to pay attention.

Hi, Sue, this is the first time I’m visiting your blog and, I’m really happy to land here.

The universe is linked with us, I believe so. With our every endeavour, every effort, the universe is playing its role silently. As Coelho has said, “the universe always conspired to help the dreamer”. If we dream of a change earnestly, that would happen for sure…

Wonderful pictures and profound thoughts here, Sue. I’ll wait for more of the story…:-)

Many the voices of our universe, they are steadily repeated since ancient times, but there are moments in our life that we can hear nothing,or other moments that we hear everything but we are unable to interpret;they are like foreign languages to us.I can very well hear the roaring surge in your soul though, which is ready to come out to surface and make Sue narrate her journeys on the less travelled road.Loved your symbolic road photo with the sideways perspective, the vanishing point doesn’t clearly show, the turning point must be very revealing,I suspect. All the best to you, dear friend Sue 🙂 xxx

There are so many comments on your blog, Sue, I often wonder how you find time to read and answer one more, but you always do and I am grateful for that. Yes, the universe is shouting at me right now and yet, I too feel like I am too old for such an adventure, but who knows, one day soon it may all come tumbling forth 🙂

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
