Teach them Peace.

Happiness .. A painting by my Granddaughter

Happiness .. A painting by my Granddaughter who was 5 when she painted this.

…I see so much, yet dare not tell

Shaking away dreams, I must not dwell.

So for now I freeze this moment in space

Sending out prayers for the Human Race.

These children whose laughter echoes in my ears

Are our future and hopes for all we hold dear.

So teach them to live, to love, and be free

We each play our part, meaning you and me.

Teach them to follow what lies in their heart

For material possessions we shall soon part

The values of life are not kept in the bank

For soon they will know, to the depth man has sank.

Disarm them with kindness, make them aware

That the future is in their hands, we need to share.

Let them know this Earth needs to heal

That All things Are possible, where nothing is real.

Help heal our world, Let our children grow

With knowledge of Love.. Let hatred go.

Tomorrow comes around, to those who wait

Help Our Children, Let’s not leave till too late.

 Sue Dreamwalker

The above is part of a poem I wrote, you can read the original  version here

It’s odd how what we wrote years ago are sadly still applicable to today! I hope when we move so far forwards none of these things are like to day at all. Regardless, great poem…Powerful words. And the incredible picture by your granddaughter! Very interesting features. Love the lavender color. No legs needed. 🙂 Great imagination….Have a happy weekend…VK

Unfortunately the kids today see only what they want regardless of the harm they do to others. 😦

Unfortunately Prenin you have experienced at first hand some of the turbulence some youths do when they have not had much respect taught in their lives..
I always think beyond their acts of selfish acts and violent behaviours and what mainly they lack is Love… Most do things for attention.. then it goes one step too far..
Thankfully Not all are tarred with the same brush.. xxx
Sending hugs your way Prenin.. and hope you do not get too much snow tomorrow! 😉 xxx Hugs Sue

Love, yes. More like ‘attention,’ too, as you mention – everyone seems in such a rush to go and do heaven knows what. So I’m mystified why such people have children, who require loads of focus and attention. And smartphones and tablets are some kind of nightmare, in my opinion, with regards to anybody listening and learning that we all have humanity in common. Developing empathy and/or compassion requires focused listening and our full attention to our world and its inhabitants. Cheers, Sue.

Yes I agree Bela, I have seen children in pushchairs with tablets.. to keep them quiet.. So many of our young children are just crying out for attention, from the very people who should be giving it them.. Their parents.. xxx Many thanks Bela for your most welcome thoughts.. xxx love Sue x

Yes, each of us can fight this terror Mary as you say, by simply not bowing down to Fear, and we can help even further by holding steadfast within ourselves to Love and Harmony.. Sending out the vibration of Love, not hate.. We help by teaching our children, and stop promoting games that enhance ‘Killing’ So many do not see, we are priming our younger generation with violent behaviours.. They see it all around them, In cartoons. films, TV, Computer Games, Everything is about destroying..

We need to get them out into Nature and allow them to plant seeds to nurture our environment.. May we be mindful of the seeds we plant in their minds.. For they learn so quickly from us adults..
Many thanks Mary for your thoughts xxx ❤

    Hi Sue,

This is a beautiful, heart-touching poem! I have shared similar thoughts, as I often wonder how some persons become so insensitive that they pick up arms. The cause lies within our homes. Here are few lines of my poem, you can read more at :
    https://plus.google.com/u/0/+BalroopSinghsrao/posts

My heart also bleeds for those
Who are born in those homes
    Where tenderness is taboo
    Where faith is tutored
    Where dogma is deeply didactic
    Where minds are indoctrinated
    Where thoughts are planted…

    Stay blessed and keep inspiring.

Dear Balroop, thank you so much.. Your own poem is also very touching, and I will be visiting it to read in full, Yes, the causes do lie within our homes.. We bring up our children everyday in the world of destroying, be it in video games, watching TV, and the toys we buy them.. Is it any wonder we are reaping what we have sown..
We can only keep on Keeping on trying within our own small way to send out our ripples of Peace and Awareness..I am ever grateful knowing there are many who light the way out there, cultivating peace by planting seeds of Truth by bringing mindfulness about how we treat others..
Love and Blessings my friend.. Sue x

Hi Sue, Thanks a ton for visiting and taking out time to read my poem. Since my blog focuses more on positivity, I didn’t share it there and it is quite a controversial theme. Truth is often bitter but we have to face it. Real culprits continue to thrive and innocents get killed…but that has been the way of the world for times immemorial. Yes, we do contribute in our own minuscule way.
Love and hugs back to you dear friend.

So poignant and thoughtful a poem, dearest Sue!Going through your verses and listening to the sweet melodies and the lyrics of the video clip,I wonder who has the right to shape children’s future with misery and pain.Who has the right to turn their smiles into tears and bring chaos into their carefree lives. As for bringing them up,I reckon that nurture is stronger than nature, they are like soft dough in our hands, like clay, and we,parents, teachers,or skillful sculptors, will give them the final form, the final shape. How beautiful the fascinating painting of the little Princess is!I embrace your Didactic Poetry,Her Delightful Painting and join you to build up a better tomorrow,a better world for our future “leaders”.They will govern or direct the world, everything will be in their hands and they will give what they take … Through their innocent eyes life is decent;let’s not disappoint them.Sending Love & Peace your way!Happy weekend,my lovely one 🙂 ❤ ,Doda xxx

Yes such a sad fact that many children grow up in fear, and are traumatised not only by events such as war, but within what should be their safe haven, their home.. My heart bleeds for them… We owe it to them to build a brighter future.. I can not stop wars, I can not stop peoples prejudices and anger, All I can do is bring awareness at what it does..
I know I need not explain to you dear friend. That what we give out comes back around.. Energy is just that be it positive or Negative..
If we keep feeding our children Anger, Hatred, and Fear.. We breed into them more of the same…
I can only hope we wake up to what we are doing to ourselves and our children.. May we teach them Peace, so that they can one day begin to Live in Peace.. xx ❤ Love and Hugs

Yes dear Cat.. so many have within them ingrained within them the FEAR of Sharing, what was given to them.. Greed has overtaken many of our ways of being.. Fear of there not being enough to go around.. Fear of not having enough food, housing,..
What Happened to having enough CARE .. Where on earth did Humanities CARING go Cat?… You and I care…. But so many now care only for themselves, and to keeping what they have…
I love that Song you keep posting on your blog.. and I wish I knew the story of it.

Love and Blessings dear Cat… and it was lovely to have you visit again.. xx

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
