A little visitor came by today,
to share some food that came his way
He crept up high
As I crept low
As I willed him to turn and say Hello
My Camera clicked and he was gone
But his belly was full as his eyes now shone..
So I turned my lens down to the ground
To see what fairies might have found
How Nature never ceases to amaze
If one take time to lower their gaze.
And open one’s eyes to the ‘Little Things’
That makes a difference, what pleasure it brings.
We first need our hearts to open wide
To discover that the secrets lie inside
And once open for the world to see
You now get the perspective of the Bee
And so in life its the ‘Little Things’
Which mean the most, what joy they bring
Its the smile and greeting, a caring thought
A helping hand when things get fraught
It matters not the money in your purse
For you can’t take it with you in your hearse
But the deeds you have done
And the memories you have made
And the Love shared
Is All that is craved.
So plant well all the Little Things in Life
For they are most cherished
Enjoy
Be Nice!
Have a beautiful weekend all of you
Blessings
Sue

Well yes, my morning was beautiful, but around noon we had a horrible earth quake here, the whole building shook and we had to run down 14 floors to get evacuated! It was difficult to run cause the building was shaking like mad. It was super scary!!! It is probably all over the news now. The epicenter was in Nepal, but we felt it very very strongly here in Kolkata. Luckily no one died in this city.

What a lovely poem, it reflects the essence of daily life and the way we live, many times we forget these small things and get swayed by the big things in life. Life, indeed is in these small aspects of our living. Smiling greeting and a caring thought, a helping hand is what makes a huge difference to our way of thinking and living. So profound are the deeds we have done and the memories we make, in my last post I was dwelling on the mystery of memories, how much we remember and why we recollect few…life without memories, perhaps would have been meaningless and full of drudgery.
Planting little things in life that can grow with you and be with you, you can nurture and you cherish those little beautiful moments…very inspiring.
Have a lovely weekend Sue.

Bees’ perspective is teeming with sweetest substance in the world called honey, profoundly indicative of the joy in little things, as the tiny flowers of different hues in your pics and the images contained in your cute little poem, Sue. Instead of investing greater efforts towards bigger feelings of occasional, few-and-far-between episodes of happiness, it may be more fulfilling to plant countless seeds of good deeds in everyday life to eventually bloom into an orchard of happiness that can be harvested several times every day of the week. That is my wish for u as well…

Dear Raj, and what a lovely wish too.. :-). Yes I have always found Raj, it is the small things in life, those thoughtful little deeds which bring the richness to our lives.. A hug and a smile are worth more than any material gifts, And I also wish dear Raj that Happiness could be sort in these type of Little things, instead of people rushing around buying the ‘Things’ they do not need and getting into debt over them.
Many thanks for the ‘Thought seeds’ you spread here my friend, they are very much appreciated 🙂 Sue

Hey Sue,
This is delightfully engaging and wonder-filled verse full of charm and enchantment, and the photographs rich and illustrative of your words…I admire the transformation of your perceptual imagination…the manner in which you temporarily ‘shift’ your awareness from an observational human-orientated perspective to one that reflects the relative intimacy of a Bee. Perhaps with further consolidation of your highly imaginative thought you could saddle up and ride on the back of that industrious and miraculous winged insect and enjoy the magical experience of the flight of the bumblebee itself. Perhaps a little orchestrated music, written by Rimsky-Korsakov, might suffice to accompany you on your fanciful journey – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QV1RGMLUKE – and of course a little poem, as always, to tuck away with your own beautifully crafted prose…
~ Honey At The Table ~ by ~ Mary Oliver
It fills you with the soft
essence of vanished flowers, it becomes
a trickle sharp as a hair that you follow
from the honey pot over the table
and out the door and over the ground,
and all the while it thickens,
grows deeper and wilder, edged
with pine boughs and wet boulders,
pawprints of bobcat and bear, until
deep in the forest you
shuffle up some tree, you rip the bark,
you float into and swallow the dripping combs,
bits of the tree, crushed bees – – – a taste
composed of everything lost, in which everything lost is found.
Have a great weekend Sue. Happy ‘pottering’ about in the garden of your heart. Take care of those tenderly green little treasures 😉

Lovely to see you here Dewin and what a beautiful comment.. I loved the flight of the Bumble Bee by the way, the music alone conjurers up magical images, and I could easily picture a fairy upon a bees back buzzing around the blossoms.. 🙂 And the poetry was new to me, but I loved every word and verse. Thank you for sharing that with me.. 🙂
Yes My weekend is most enjoyable, just popped on here for half an hour before I go out again in the garden.. Today I spied some new born lambs upon my walk this morning.. A very agreeable day.. And the shoots are all sprouting nicely in the greenhouse, some being hardened off, and the allotments are being prepared.. I think we have been busy like the bee 🙂 this week..

How cute to find a mouse at your feeder. I must have something besides birds at mine because this week the seed disappeared so quickly, but I have yet to catch who is enjoying the seed so much.
Yes, it is the little things. Yesterday I happened to glance out my kitchen window and saw the cutest black and white cat sitting in my yard just watching me and the day before we sat at the living room window watching a bird watching us back. My granddaughter inforinformed me he was waiting for us to give him more food so we headed out to check the feeder. Nature is so much fun to watch.

All these little mammals, even the rats, become food for the raptors and felines. We all know that mice and rats dwell in cities because humans invaded their land. I still would not kill a rat, but trap it and release it somewhere else. I have problems killing ants too.

Sue, I love gardening and landscaping, but I see the issues involved. For example, I couldn’t be an ornamental landscaper because I would have to literally kill all the pests that feed on the plants. I suppose you may have encountered these situations. Can you say that you get at least 80-60% of your crop? You must know so many tricks from experience.

We do not use any pesticides, We use Marigolds which we plant along side crops, and live with the pests covering with fine nets to help stop the white fly ect.. But we retain about 80% of our crops.. Last year we were hit with potato blight but we are on the last bag of our stored potatoes now from last year.. so they have lasted all winter..
The year before it was caterpillars on our cabbage and Brussels sprouts we just had to take as many leaves off as possible from the sprouts and learn to live with it… I like to think that is why we many have lots more butterflies this year.. Again we try to net early before the cabbage white butterfly lays her eggs.. same with the carrot fly.. We are trying something different this year with our carrots so will let you know as we progress with those if it worked.. Our carrots have never been successful.. But if you visit my Allotment Grow your Own updates in my header.. You will see the previous years and how our gardening has gone.. They are stacked under Grow your Own if memory serves in the header.. 🙂 Any handy tips you have found would be more than welcome Maria LOL.. 🙂 And thank you for taking an interest.. xxx Sue

This poem is so good it is ‘going straight to the poolroom’. I have not got a poolroom but I will be keeping this poem I love it and the photos.
Thank you Sue for showing us appreciation at its best. _/\_

And the memories you have made
And the Love shared
Is All that is craved”.~
Absolutely true… Beautiful verses dear Sue.

I felt the delight of watching the mouse! The little things, the tiny things… the things that come and go. I’m thinking about the mouse at the bottom of Ganesha’s feet. Lovely poetry from a truly inspired being…
May the happiness continue and your garden continue to bring you so much joy. My, the lambs! I can feel their softness, just to think of them – and very much enjoyed the pictures. ❤

Ka.. I am so pleased you enjoyed this post as much as I did creating it.. The Little mouse I have not seen in a week.. but then its not been as warm out so maybe he/she is keeping snug and dry somewhere.. He was a very brave little adventurer… Many thanks again for your lovely comment Ka.. ❤

How funny! I imagine that’s how our bird feeders drop so quickly too 🙂 A beautiful poem Sue, inspired by those mischievous fairies 🙂

We had mice when I lived in Cornwall for a while and then they disappeared, or seemed too… Who can understand mouse ways? 😉 Have a lovely week ahead x
