Melting Hearts of Ice..

Each snowflake is unique, so too are we..

Hold your own crystal Lights steady, if you are experiencing a storm in life.. Know as we send and give out our love, we will eventually melt those hearts which are encased in ice..

And  that  United ~ We  Are One..

Snow Garden

Silently falling stars of light,

Covering colour in blankets of white

Whipped up and spun they form into drifts

Each snowflake unique from heaven a gift

~~

We bemoan the winter with icy blasts

And forget how nature her winter chill casts

As snow falls deep disrupting man’s plans

Nature is chieftain of all of man’s clans

Candles on a sand sculpture are seen during commemorations on the the tenth anniversary of the 2004 tsunami at Patong beach in Phuket province on December 26, 2014. In the morning of December 26, 2004 a 9.3-magnitude earthquake off Indonesia's western coast generated a series of massive waves that killed more than 220,000 people across 14 countries as far apart as Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Somalia. We forget her might that’s held in the flood

Her power and strength to uproot everything that stood

In tornado’s terror and deadly sting

Nature is indiscriminate –Nature is King

So as I look out the window at soft flakes of snow

Drifting swiftly uniting below

Stopping Man in his tracks as his machines slips and slide

While each flake falls softly to lay side by side

Motorists stranded in snow Sheffield UK

One Flake on its own soon fades and melts

Yet when joined with others a blizzard is felt

I can’t help but wonder why man feels alone

As he feels himself separate from Natures Zone

~~

If he would but look how nature navigates

Strength comes in unity, and co-operates

Trees shed their leaves, while berries feed the birds

Animals Hibernate while others grow fur

wallpaper, cute, snow, bird, winter, branch, berries

And after the fury of Nature’s Might

She brings forth Unity as we hold each other tight

She brings us together to rebuild communities torn

As neighbours unite forgetting to scorn.

Ray Baughman hugs his family outside after the storm destroyed his home in Pekin, Il.

So whatever the storm that passes you by

Remember the snowflake unique from on high

Its strength comes in numbers as it sticks together

And so man must learn, as he lives through all weathers

~~

United we stand and divided we fall

Hold love in your hearts and heed its call

For tomorrow the storms may sweep through your life

So stick together, steer clear of Fear’s strife

And remember we are One in that all affects the whole

And our judgements that condemn affect all of our souls

So I bid you Good cheer as you melt hearts of ice

What the world needs now is PEACE…So please be nice.

Good one DW….Praying hard this new year brings an end to the slavery and freedom is flying free. It is going to be a great time of storms ahead I fear, but we must all stay awake and together. It is only when we are sucked into the lies and grow weak with fear that we will loose the battle. We cannot do that! Hoping your time ahead is warm and melting and filled with peace within…Love ya…VK ❤

What a lovely poem…one couldn’t have put it any better. The choice of words and power of the message is craftily blended and it flows swiftly and so subtly that it touches deep within.

The rhymes of light & white, drifts & gifts, might & tight, fall & call, whole & souls, ice & nice…so magical the meaning just resounds.

The power of nature and the way nature has nurtured us and have made the world a place for us to dwell and be well. Nature doesn’t discriminate and yes, nature can be called queen…it is only when we disrespect and disconnect ourselves from the nature, it reacts and reacts with vengeance. Yes, when we are united we are one, we realize the power of one…

Happy Holidays and a wonderful year ahead, let 2015 be the harbinger of lots of fun and pleasant surprises for you…

I wish more would understand we are all interrelated as ONE and that One affects the WHOLE..Meaning the whole World.. 🙂
Many thanks again Nihar for your excellent reply.. Wishing you a Very Happy New Year and I hope we can exchange more thoughts throughout 2015..

A timely, cautionary yet optimistic article Sue, admonishing us to hold at the still point of equanimity and connectedness that itself lies between the extremes of complacency and the world-weary sense of alienation so many feel.

      Thank you dear Hariod…
Optimistic, I try to be… but I am always I think, as no doubt you have seen now, trying to push home how fortunate we are even when some feel their lives are insignificant, they are far from being so..

For we are all held within the this family called the Human Race… Even if at times we question some of Humanity and their actions.. it brings about a greater understanding of love, humility and compassion..
Thank you dear Hariod for your wonderful words.. Always spot on with what I hoped to achieved and you understood its message perfectly..

So love your poem. It must be snowing LOTS where you are. 🙂 And you know, you made me think of a great analogy when talking to people who don’t think humans are making an impact on the planet:
We ARE like snowflakes. Each one unique and when multiplied but hundreds, thousands and millions, you see how the earth changes!

It is no longer snowing, but it did snow lots over a 24 hour period.. Yes that is what I was trying to convey… We are each like those snowflakes, each individual and perfect.. Even though some pure drops can cause havoc in black Ice. .. But pooling our thoughts and intentions together can I know bring about positive Changes within the world.. So pleased you understood it perfectly Cyndi.. 🙂 xxx

It is very easy to get depressed when you look at the big picture but I think the way that we find happiness in this big picture is to pull back, to take bite sized mouthfuls and to deal with them. I have a blogging friend who recently told me that she very rarely enjoys Christmas. This year she started a Free Economy Facebook page where people pay things forward and help others out and this year, a friend/neighbour of hers asked her if she would like a few things for her page to give away. The same friend came back a week or so later and said that they had managed to sell their house but had to move in a very short period of time and so they had a LOT of things that they would like to donate. My friend took it all even though it was a BIG pain to do so and it was all sorted out, packaged up and along with the generous donations of more gift wrapped gifts and assistance, they managed to help a LOT of families who wouldn’t have had Christmas presents under the tree this year. She said that this was the most tiring but the very BEST Christmas that she has ever had and she is going to do it again next year. The way to be happy is to share what you have, to help other people, to find a spark inside you that ignites and to learn the true value of what matters. If we all forge community, spend a bit of time caring about the environment, our neighbours wellbeing, other people’s hopes and dreams as much as we do our own and we step off the treadmill of commercialism and “success”, simple, but most glorious happiness is completely within our reach. Happy New Year Sue and here’s to 2015 being a magnificent tangle of opportunities and adventures we take good advantage of 🙂

You see, this poem is brilliant, and it summarizes all of my beliefs. The images also matched the meanings so well. I always think that Nature has the last word. When you say:

“Its strength comes in numbers as it sticks together

And so man must learn, as he lives through all weathers”

I think of that as being the lesson from natural disasters and catastrophies.

As the weather is the new talking point in the media at the moment, I thought to re-post this poem called ‘Melting Hearts of Ice’ It was first published in 2014.

May we remember there are always those who are worse off than ourselves . It’s always good to reach out a helping hand to help another through their storms in life if possible.

It doesn’t cost anything to be kind and respectful, or to help someone through their own storms in life, and remember that one day, we too may need that helping hand..

Keep safe all of you who are facing either Natures Storms of the Storms life throws our way.

Wow! Sue, I’m so glad you directed our attention to this poem. It is wonderfully powerful and from the first image of a single snow flake❄️ you take in the whole of humanity uniting, how true that our strength lies in us together, a whole working with love and care.

‘So whatever the storm that passes you by

Remember the snowflake unique from on high

Its strength comes in numbers as it sticks together

And so man must learn, as he lives through all weathers.’

Your words are more relevant and needed than ever … on a community level it is heartwarming to see how everyone pulls together, but often not for long.

I love this poem, thoughts and images, some tragic, many mesmerising and others uplifting.

Hope you’re having a good weekend and not struggling with any snow. As for us, what snow?! Just the odd flurry.

    Snowflakes:
I watched a program on BBC1. 04.07.16 called ‘Forces Of Nature With Brian Cox’.
TV blurb: Prof Brian takes us on a global journey to see how underlying forces affect our planet, and how these determine such things as why the sky is blue, why the Earth is round, and even the shapes of snowflakes.
And how the Earth’s beauty is created by just a handful of forces.

There’s more to Heaven than meets the eye, my indomitable SPIRIT wonders why, I’m not pious, or cynical, (believing it’s true) as Cosmic facts and fiction (that heady brew) brings me down to Earth with a little bang.

For the last couple of years:
Here came the floods, as well as the snow. Though the Government promised help, despairing victims know that flood warnings are useless without action’s defenses. As the Government weighs-up Lamentations’ expenses, the waters keep rising until reigning sea. There’s no denying global warming’s ministry.

Lots of Love and RESPECT for your Ministry

As it is snowing here as I type this comment, I think your reshare of the snow-filled thoughts in this poem are well timed Sue xo Have a beautiful weekend ahead.

The poem holds true even in 2019. Thanks for reblogging it, Sue. We still need to spread love and peace all over the world. More so when others are suffering.

    Have a lovely weekend ❤ ❤

This post highlights the journey of the snowflake which collects with others to form snow and by and large in our unity we gather into a force like nature. Let us be for good, and as you say, melt hearts of ice. Quite powerful what you said here,” It doesn’t cost anything to be kind and respectful, or to help someone through their own storms in life, and remember that one day, we too may need that helping hand..“. I loved your poem! Thank you for your gracious visit this morning! Have a wonderful weekend, Sue! Lots of love to you!
We have it so good here in Southern California near Mexico, yet it’s more unpredictable with climate change. I never imagined I’d live in such a temperate place but here I am. Keep warm, Spring is near! Again love love, Ka

Cannot wait for Spring to arrive dear Ka, and I am pleased you live in such a temperate place, and that you enjoyed reading my poem of the snow flake.. Each of us are unique like each snow flake, I hope we can whip up a blizzard of illumination and unity for what is to come. ❤
Love and Blessings dear Ka.. Take care of yourself my friend 🙏💙

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
