Autumns Dance

Spirit of Autumn, My interpretation of the Magic of Autumn Gold.

Spirit of Autumn, My interpretation of the Magic of Autumn Gold.

The Winds Dance

From where does the wind gain her mighty strength?

How long is her trail, her width and her length?

From whence does a breeze grow into a gale?

As she shrieks and blusters bringing down hail

~~

And how does her anger in tornadoes twirl

Calm to the silence in the eye of a storm

And when does her shout fall to whispers and calm

That caressers the skin in the light of the dawn

~~

She flirts with the leaves to twist them and prance

Lifting them up to have their last dance

Her friend is the rain as he falls from the sky

Pelting the ground as he matches her sighs

~~

She finds every nook and the cracks to creep in

Howling laments as she shrieks out her din

The trees bow their heads in respect to her might

Those who resist are snapped in their fight

~~

She whips up the oceans creating great swells

And blows in the mountains, valleys and dells

She blows up the snow that drifts on the ground

She’s gentle and silent then violent and loud

~~

Never underestimate Nature with all of her sides

She’s stronger than Man despite all of his strides

Respect ALL the elements, to not is to fall

Because Nature is Mother, Listen to her call

My thoughts are sent out to those in the path of any forthcoming storms around the world..

I wrote this poem some time ago when we were experiencing High winds..

The above artwork I did a couple of years ago.. As I tried to capture the Golden Magic of Autumn and the glitter of Frost upon the fallen leaves..

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful week as I leave you with this poem.

Blessings and thank you for reading and Welcome to all who are newly subscribed to Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary I hope you enjoy your browsing experience.

Joe so lovely of you to visit and comment, And you say just the right things my friend.. 🙂 We take the breeze and the wind for granted, She moves the elements around the earth that brings us our weather be it Spring Summer Fall or Winter… Mostly she caresses our skin with her gentleness, but sometimes she needs us to stand up and take stock of her voice.. We the Human Race often forget Mother Nature’s Power, as we think ourselves invincible.. But when Mother Nature and her Wind shouts, we have to sit up and listen..
Bless you Joe, and many thanks for being here.. 🙂

Yes, Sue, today is much dryer and a bit quieter, so far anyway. Great atmosphere for hearing the lament that autumn brings.

I love this time of year when the storms are frequent and the daylight recedes.

Yes Mother Nature is both Kind and Cruel.. depending how we view her actions given the circumstances we are in.. But then Mother Nature was here first.. We build our flimsy structures and position them on her shores and near her volcanoes and along her fault lines.. She is just doing what she has always done… Evolving, Moving, Growing, and Progressing… We Humans think we are so mighty, until we come up against her strength… Then we bemoan and ask Why? .. Learning to respect her and all her elements is wise… For she shows no favouritism 🙂

Lovely to see you here Deb, and I so thank you for your lovely comment 🙂

A hush has come over me, as these words flow so humbly. These mightly winds teach us all, to not to bend makes us fall. Yesterday the winds did howl, but today all is so quiet. Your words flowed with images of the Winds, Sue, and as I read them my Spirit became Wind. Thank you. Love, Amy

And in the small town where I live we have a Windfest! Thanks for visiting my blog today and commenting. We do agree on some things! Peace and joy to you and yours!

I hadnt read this writing before Sue, and its a great writing, your descriptive poem really brings the winds to life, you describe her as a visual being and expose her power beautifully in your words, my next writing on my outback journey touches on the power of the winds, and your words exactly portray my meaning, may I have permission to include your poem in my posting on Trees in my next blog, due credit given of course.

What a beautiful portrait sue , capturing the spirit of autumn , and the poem depicting many facets of the wind… just recently there was cyclone hud-hud lashing vizag , the port city in the eastern region of india , wreaking enormous havoc. fortunately the number of fatalities was limited , thanks to advance climate warning systems . without doubt , we must live in greater harmony with nature for longer term sustainability…

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love...
