Six Decades and the Paradigm Shift.

Garden 1

Taking time out away from the media’s depressing clutches is advisable for anyone’s sanity. Getting back to Nature and connecting our hearts back to the pulse of life is what we should all do more of.

We should all take more deep breaths in nature.

For what Mother Nature breathes out, we breathe in –We are ONE!

It’s been a joy sitting in my garden takingBluebells in natures healing balm as I’ve watched how nature unfurls. From seeing how my bluebells (I didn’t plant) have evolved to watching the frogs and fish basking in the warmth of the Sun in my pond.

The birds have been gathering the mealworms we put on the bird table to feed their young, and they have enjoyed splashing in the bird bath to refresh their plumage.

A couple of Frogs

Nature doesn’t look back over its shoulder at its past. It worries not about tomorrow. All of her energy is about existing in the ‘NOW’ of time. It’s about survival of the fittest, growth and reproduction, it’s about evolving and adapting to the conditions of which they find themselves in.

The birds have had to adapt as hedgerows and trees are cut down making way for new houses. The hedgehog whose a friend in every garden as they eat up the grubs has had to adapt as his runs are now cut off with garden fences..

A hedgehog run Create a small gap in your fences to allow hedgehogs to go from garden to garden instead of on the roads!

People are reporting seeing more Urban Fox’s as the land on which their dens once stood have been turned into a concrete maze of houses and roads..

Change is Constant:

Our animal kingdom has to constantly adapt to the conditions we impose upon them as we cut down their forests, pollute their oceans and waterways. Mankind has been responsible in thinking he is king with no thought to the consequences of how his actions affects nature.. But Nature will always find its own balance, even though we interfere and upset it. Mother Nature learns how to adapt to change and thrive in the most difficult circumstances. Weeds in asphalt

Yet when we humans are faced with changes we hold our hands up in horror, as we cling to the past.. We like things to be consistent and run smooth… You would think we would learn from our past wouldn’t you?.. But no we seem to keep repeating our mistakes and even now resist changes which we know are destroying our very own habitat, this Planet! as we see the level of pollutions increase in our plastic throw away world of greed..

The Universe is now changing things we once thought were fixed.. Even our very DNA , Science is discovering is changeable and is being messed with, from seeds to cloning.

We all ‘Feel’ change is imminent, but often can’t quiet put into words to express what it is we are feeling. Time we know feels to be moving faster- weather patterns  are altering. People all over the world are yearning to break free and express themselves as we witness the many upheavals around our globe.

This week is a big milestone for me too.. For on May Day I enter my 6th Decade as I celebrate my own changes; my body is no longer the same one it was when I was aged 5. Its cells have constantly changed and yet I was too busy growing to notice, for change is gradual. Me age 5Change is constant!.

So too our Earth is changing as she grows and evolves, we forget we are breathing in her outward breath, for we as  a species are evolving with her. And just like the Birds  and Foxes we have to adapt to our habitat. We too have to alter our ways in order to survive.

We are witnessing a paradigm shift, and as our hearts open we become more vulnerable to emotion. We need to understand the ‘Power Within’ as we re-shape our world. We need to look beyond Fear which is being poured out by the media, and see we are also a Powerful force of Nature that holds Free-Will, and its up to us as individuals and as a collective to bring about the changes we wish to see happen.. Its no use looking to others. Change begins with each of us .. Its up to US!..

Each of us contributes to the whole!. We are now uniting our thoughts as One as we unite against oppression. As we up-cycle and recycle and Grow our Food. And as we reach out in hands of friendship across the world as we pray for Peace.

Change is happening in small steps around the world as we see corruption exposed on all levels, from Big Business to Governments.

2014 is a year which for me is a turning point as I mark my 60th Birthday on May Day.. I embrace it as I flow with more ease than ever before into my future. I am learning that no matter what chaos appears to be happening around us.. We need to keep our hearts centred on the things that are the most important in our lives.. To do that we need to reconnect with Nature and disconnect from the media. We need to ‘tune’ into ourselves and get back in touch with who we really are..

Change begins with yourself..Sitting Pretty

I know I am happier as I shift into my own New Paradigm into my 60 year old Skin..

Love and Blessings and thank you for reading..

Sue

Awww Happy belated Birthday wishes to you too Amy.. I hope you had a special Day my friend.. and no its not surprising we are both Taurean is it… 🙂 I am happy you enjoyed… Let us hope that those who do read or drop by, will take a deeper look into how Mother nature is connected to us all… So many seem disconnected as they bury their heads in their Ipods and tablets obsessing over games consoles.. I know not all young folk are like that.. Many are becoming aware.. and fighting in Mother Natures Corner for conservation issues etc….
Your own posts show just how beautiful Nature is.. And all we need do is step out into our garden or open our eyes around our communities to see how wonderful we interact .. 🙂 Love back dear Amy.. xoxox Sue

Bless you Pen.. We have spent far too many of our younger years confined to the riggers of making ends meet, providing and working our socks off.. I know I missed so many things as my own children grew… So many today are doing exactly the same.. Putting Work first, family second.. to buy the nick knacks and gadgets not really needed in our homes… Just so we can keep up with the ‘Jones’ Lol.. I know been there done it in the past..
If only they would Stop and take a deep breath.. Give their children a cuddle and some love.. and spend time nurturing them, and time in nature.. They would then feel so much better.. and maybe those who we call hoodlums who have lacked love would not be hanging around street corners searching for kicks.. Instead they would get their Kicks out of connecting back to the source of All love.. Our Mother Earth… She’s so magnificent!.. She brings tears to my eyes to think of how we have abused her resources, oceans, and animal kingdoms…
I am sure I will have a lovely day.. thank you Pen.. Bless you xox Sue

Happy birthday…almost dear Sue. What a deep and profound post. More and more I find myself connected to the animal world. Man has a very egotistical approach to rights on this planet. It doesn’t seem right and now mother nature is very angry with us as we see the weather and tectonic plates reacting. Keep up the inspired blogging, they are highlight of my reader feed!!

Aww many thanks Lisa, for that kind encouraging comment.. 🙂 Mother Nature is a great teacher and she has I think many lessons still to teach the Human pollution upon this planet..

I am sure we are like leaches upon her back, as we suck all her resources out of her.. We do I am sure irritate.. And like any itch we need to be scratched .. She is shaking her self as she moves.. But this movement has been on going for millions of years.. We who have built homes upon those tectonic plates and near volcanoes do not see its just natures way…
Now if we had kept our instincts as the animal kingdom has… ( Not many animals in the Tsunamis died ) because their instincts took them to higher ground as they feel the vibrations long before the Earthquake strikes

If we were to get back in touch with our natural instincts and become more ‘In tune’ with Mother Earth we too would ‘Feel’ and be better prepared.. Like the Aboriginals of Australia.. Who communicate with Nature and her animals..
Thank you for your well wishes.. I am sure to have a wonderful day 🙂

To be dazzled by the sunlight when I came out of the doors.. I intend to not miss the hours Spring and Summer bring this year.. Its funny but as we get older Val we begin to see the important things that matter.. Dear Sue,

First, may I take this opportunity to wish you Happy Birthday. As the sun rises tomorrow, may you be blessed with lovely returns of the day.

Loved the post. Indeed , one can definitely sense an awakening, a heightened consciousness in people all over. This usually shows up as access to more information. What could be done to shift this to a greater access to an empowered future? What could we do to align people to envision a created future which they would like to live into? How could we generate a higher consciousness of the need to align our being and acting today in a manner that the envisioned future occurs?

My dear Shakti.. “What could be done to shift this into greater access to an empowered future?”.. What needs to happen is that we need to shift our thinking Shakti.. Its no good us thinking the OLD ways will come back. or that the weather will settle back in its old pattern.. The damage is done or maybe not damage.. for all is as it should be.. But the future needs to be thought of.. In NEW ways..

I read an article recently on when President JF Kennedy spoke saying He was going to fly and land men on the moon..
Now once he had voiced this.. then the components that were all ready created were mobilised and transformed and put to make a rocket ship which was capable of such..

He set the idea… and others worked towards that goal..
We should all work towards that goal .. We have within our grasps the technology of cleaner energy we have the resources.. But we need to start thinking beyond today into tomorrow as climate patterns alter.. To build sustainable housing.. to live more self sufficient.. To live in harmony with nature.. using Natures remedies.. not chemical drugs.. We have lost our way in so many avenues.. its hard to know where to begin.. This is another reason why so many today seem to struggle.. For they are becoming overwhelmed with technology and the fast pace everything is changing… We are not focused .. We are burying our heads…
Nature is already pre-warning us to prepare… As storms get larger and more furious in strength…

We have to THINK our way into the future… and create it into being.. 🙂

Love and Blessings dear Shakti, many thanks for your well wishes.. I am having a beautiful Day… xox

I don’t know when may day is over there and if you are a Gemini or Taurus, but my B’day is on memorial day (may 30) so perhaps we are both curious Gemini’s…That would be fun to share together….Be well friend and know you are loved….VK xxoo

Wonderful post Sue! It is so true that nature changes and adapts in its “natural” way…no matter what we humans do to mess with it…and it goes on and thrives. We humans balk and rail at change, thus making it harder on ourselves.

But you have a lovely change coming up…and I wish you Many Blessings and Magical Times on your birthday, a magnificent milestone. May you be Blessed with many more years to share your wisdom, as we are Blessed to have in our lives. Peace and Love!

What a beautiful post Sue. I love how you included the animals that even when they are adapting, are also paying the price for our reckless urbanisation and deforestation. Many of them are called the ‘mesopredators’, and you can read about it more here: http://bit.ly/1rGckR4 They are the ones that multiply because the top predators have diminished. So they are the ones that are ‘invading’ backyards and urban areas. Yes, these poor animals are now paying the price for reckless urbanisation. The Coyote is one of them. Is being shot by the thousands in the U.S.. Happy Birthday, and thanks for such informative post. And yes, I feel One with nature, inseparable, and at communion every day.

Yes its so sad that our interferences have upset the balance and their habitats.. The Coyote is like our fox who is treated as vermin.. Yet its they that keep the rodents, rabbits etc down… Nature already has everything finely balanced.. so when we cull the foxes, we get an increase in rabbits, rats etc.. All is interconnected..
In Africa, they are now having problems as poachers are poisoning the vultures, as they fly over head giving away their Kill points to the authorities.. Now they are having nothing to clean up the dead carcass’s so flies are laying eggs and swarms of flies are now causing disease too..
Every thing in Nature has purpose.. The only thing I can see Nature can do without is MAN.. So he had better take care… or Mother Nature may well do her own culling spree! xx Many thanks for you comment and I will take a look at your link now xox Hugs Sue

I would indorse all the wisdom in this post.
The wonderful advise to tune into ourselves and get with Mother Nature.
Those Blue Bells, in 1990 I remember a magic morning walk into a valley in Darbyshire.
Three colourful hot-air balloons drifted in the sky and at my feet were Blue Bells.
Your the photo in your post brought back that memory.

Aww thank you Jack… Those Bluebells I had not planted…. But several years ago I did try but in another part of the garden, they never grew.. Last year everytime I saw bluebells I would catch myself saying I wish I had some bluebells, and then dismiss the thought ..
So imagine my surprise when I spotted them growing.. Its even more amazing as this bed is raised and has a weed cover below the grit as its where we sunk our pond.. We have to cut into the liner to plant flower roots…. So maybe I have fairies at the bottom of my garden who listened to my wish..
Wow now what a coincidence Jack on you being in Derbyshire.. … I was lived in Derbyshire until I got married.. in a village next to the Plague village of Eyam.. Called Stoney Middleton.. You can find out more in a post on May Day last year..

Enjoy if you have not already seen it Jack.. Thank you so much…. Blessings Sue xox

I have had the pleasure of living in Alaska, throughout Canada, everywhere it seems in the states and now reside in the heart of Mexico. The one truly remarkable commonality has been the oneness of nature. You’ll love the sixties, I did.

A happy 60th personal year Sue! 🙂 I love your thoughts on nature and Change. I was walking through the Forest this Autumn, a little more than a year after the early death of my father, and it struck me how un-tragic and un-scary death in Nature is… it is so much a part of the natural cycle… it was really healing to see the decaying trees give shelter to all sorts of life and feed the next generations… to reconnect with Nature is healing indeed1 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your blog and I look forward to reading more! ❤

Many thanks for sharing that poignant memory with me .. Yes we so fear death and yet it is only the natural progression of our own natural state of transformation.. Just like the Butterfly who transforms, so we too spread our wings in another dimension as we free ourselves from our mortal shell…
Speaking as I have done with my friends Spirit side, Death is viewed as a celebration as our loved ones are welcomed back home..
Once we learn to be happy for their home coming, and we let go of our own grieving process ( which is only natural ) We allow our Loved ones to move more freely to their new surroundings..
Many thanks for your lovely comment and I thank you so much for your well wishes. .. And I too look forward to exploring your posts 🙂
      Love and Blessings Sue

Nature always seems to finds its way, even when it’s driven out. The photo of the plant growing through the road made me laugh, I am in the process of laying a new patio area and wondering how best to prevent weeds growing through, I guess they will do that no mater what I do!
I have been playing (well replaying) this game on my playstaion, “the last of us” a world after this ended, loving the way nature just takes her world back……and how the ugly nightmare we create if enhanced and ripped apart just by the pure strength of the natural world, while we may think as humans we are kind…..not a chance…..nature always there…..pushing back…..warning us……I kind of like that.

Lovely to have you here again Duma, and yes you are right Nature is strong, her will is to continue despite what we humans do to her. And I am sure her warnings will get stronger also as we bury our heads and close our ears to those warnings…
Big smiles to the laying of a new patio.. 🙂 a good membrane beneath what ever you are laying will help. but as i discovered in a wall my hubby build around a built up pond.. Even the tiniest crack and a seed got in.. I now have a new rockery plant growing there much to my surprise and joy. 🙂
      Where’s there’s a will there is a way.. 🙂
I will be around to read about those Dreams too later today 🙂 Its good to see you posting again 🙂

How wonderful! Happy new decade to you my friend! 60 is an excellent number, and is just more ramping up of power and inner strength to share your love and light in the world. I love how Maya Angelou shared in an interview that she felt her 60’s were great but then her 70’s were even more awesome and now in her 80’s it’s the best decade of all! And recently I rewatched the Louise Hay DVD of You Can Heal Your Life and she shares the same thing: having just turned 80 she’s decided THIS is going to be her greatest decade yet! So we’re just spring chickens! Big happy celebratory hugs to you! You are a blessing Sue, and I am so grateful for you. xo Gina

Apologies, Sue, for two reasons: One, for being away for so long (I didn’t realise JUST how long!!) and two, for missing your birthday. Belated birthday wishes from me – I was going to say I hope you had a great day, but from the previous post with the flowers (I’m travelling backwards through your world right now!) I can see that you did anyway! Enjoy your changes Sue!
