Cleansing~ Energising and Listening to your Heart

I have over the last few days just gone with the flow of my inner guide to follow what I have been inspired to do.  This has taken me out on walks, weeding in the allotments and experimenting with recipes from produce from our wonderful abundance of crops this year, to having cleaning sprees, along  with creative days.

Local Park

Local Park

Most of us were born and raised in cultures that value the head over the heart and, as a result, we place our own hearts below our heads in a sort of inner hierarchy of which we may not be always be conscious of doing.  Which means we often tend to listen to our heads rather than our hearts. The Ego of logic is ingrained within us as we try to live in order as we structure our daily activities and lives.. Often we allow ourselves to become stressed and that’s when we allow imbalance to creep in which can then result in our feeling ill.

Read Admiral in Oct on the allotments .

Transformation~ Red Admiral Butterfly in October on the allotments .

This last week I had some welcome time off work, so I made no plans but each day just went with the flow of feeling. When we listen from our hearts then our logical brain tends to listen, and as it softens it helps us to perceive how interconnected we all are…As I walked about our local town, it made me see how separate we have become, and yet how we are ALL One.. Each person so busy rushing here and there as I wondered upon their busy schedules and lives.. I caught conversations of peoples stressed lives as they exchanged views on Energy bills reach record highs as job prospects plummet ever lower.. Shops increasingly becoming vacant, and a once thriving town near empty as those Big Boy Super Markets on the outskirts of town provided all under one roof.

The cities we reside in have souls. Our cities  evolve, create, consume, and breathe much in the same way Mother Nature does….. And yet the town felt empty, as if its heart had gone out of it… The once full square of market stalls was now diminished to just a handful of faithful stall holders. Walking among the town I absorbed its peoples energy and I had to shake off that feeling of oppression as the negativity seemed to weigh me down attaching itself around my aura as I had also been subject to its weight via my day job..Showing me how we pick up Energy from others.. No wonder as we watch those daily news bulletins how we all soon succumb to the negative vibration as Fear is spread via its wave-length.

So out in Nature I had to go as I shook off the energy I had unintentionally collected around me.

New Earth

New Earth

If  where you live presently feels oppressive or robs you of your  energy, consider nurturing yourself more. To cope with the stress of working and playing in an environment you have an aversion to, first ask yourself how the city or your job  makes you feel. Then take steps to cleanse your home, your work spaces, and your life of the energy that is dragging you down.  For me I needed Space to ground myself back in nature, I needed to be outside connected to Mother Earth.  So I walked and worked with the soil.  So if your home needs that uplift why not try smudging your personal and professional spaces with sage or sweetgrass to dispel negativity.

Herbs drying

I tend to wear various crystals most of the time.. I wear what I am intuitively drawn too, This last week has been Amethyst, Kyanite and Tourmaline Click the links to find out their healing properties or go to my Crystal and Things Page on the top  header..

I am lucky in that I have one necklet piece which contains all three.   If you do not have jewellery  why not put a tumbled stone in your pocket or keep near your person. That way you can ensure that there is always positive, loving energy nearby that you can draw from when you feel affected by environment and you can do your part to promote widespread good energy by sending love and white light from your heart out into your neighbourhood each day.

Thank you for all of your own wonderful Energies which you have given in commenting upon my posts..

Coming up shortly I hope to post more upon the recipes I have done and on the awards recently given me…. Stay well and Live from your Hearts as the times to follow them is here…

Thank you for reading~ Love and Blessings

Sue

I haven’t yet got my own life. I am still the mother-hen and trying to do, (yes DO) what others need me to do. But the time is coming when there will be space to breath and heal.

Great post Sue. I hope you’re feeling better. I’ve been wearing turquoise and amethyst, needing a clear quartz pyramid and rose quartz beside my bed. I’ve just had a big tooth pulled out and I know of two other people who have also had teeth taken out and generally had an energy draining week. Thanks for the tips and have a lovely weekend. Xxx

What an enlightening post, Sue. I also use gems [amethyst and white topaz] but mainly Rudraksha beads [http://www.rudraksha-ratna.com/] to balance chakras. But as you say, the most important part is [really] listening to and opening your heart!

You know Sue in places supposed to be so spiritual like say Glastonbury they actually attract all sorts and when I go there it all hits me, the good and the not so good so I have to cleanse and having worked closely with crystals in the remote past there is no need for me to revisit the same energies again so for me it is now just a personal purge. Great post as usual. Love, David

Yes portals such as Glastonbury will no doubt bring sensitive people and with the energies its no wonder as a sensitive you pick up on peoples vibrations… Cleansing ones aura, and the use of crystals has been part of me now for such a long while, and yet I know at times I leave myself wide open and exposed to picking up debris of a negative kind…. Hence the clearing and grounding work… You would think I would learn…..but I am still learning and passing on knowledge via my own mistakes, such is how we learn LOL….

It is good to be at one with nature, feel the energies of life thrust within us and keep a positive edge to our psyche, in a world that has so many negarives swirling around us it makes sense to breathe, and to inhale positivity and optimism.

I have enjoyed reading your posting Sue it makes a lot of sense and also the mention of crystals and herbs is another reminder that we need to step back from all the stressful imagery around us.

Do have a wondrously enjoyable weekend Sue and be well, I know that you are a caring and beautiful person, that always thinks of others with such a positive glow.

Thoughtful post Sue. I agree with how the environment can weigh us down…but only because we weigh it down with our own fears! It’s like a vicious cycle isn’t it??
My sister got me a salt lamp for my room and then she got one for each of the rooms in the house and the hall too. It’s supposed to help clear the space.
I carry a black tourmaline and a bronzite with me to work…I didn’t last night, thought I’d give my buddies a break, but I think I got hit by some weird thingy…felt ill and weird…then again my wonderful nemesis “self doubt” says it was probably nothing…:P

This post however leads me to think that maybe there is something to it!! 🙂

I agree with you Shree, Humanity is picking up only that which we give out.. Salt is a good tool to protect from negativity.. I was once bombarded with much of this negative energy at one point in my life and so I physically filled small egg cups with salt and placed upon my windows in every room……. Do you cleanse your crystals Shree? .. I have a medicine pouch of various stones, and swear I was protected by these stones one day when in Austria, walking along a side street where construction was being done..Workmen we stringing a heavy electric cable across the road ( no barriers to stop us walking, as we were ushered underneath.. ) For some reason that walk I just stopped to turn around and speak to my hubby just as the cable was dropped and missed me by inches, if I had kept on walking who knows! ….I was on holiday at the time and had gone back for my stone pouch to change to another bag, as I call them my talisman of protection stones… 🙂

You may have picked up a negative thought form attachment Shree.. I hope shook it off and did a few cleansing exercises 🙂

That certainly was a close call Sue!
I do clean my crystals. Give them a bath and then put them out in the sun..but not as often…about a few months once. The salt lamp in my room actually faces the crystal table I have…so they are getting some nice cleansing rays from that too..hehe.

I always go to work with my little pouch of black tourmaline and bronzite..well at least almost always. When I forget them then I get stuff like that happening..lol.

My other crystals chill on the table and I think they enjoy that..hehe.

A wonderfull post Sue. I love in the weekend to just muck around, walking dreaming
Sometimes I feel guilty as I feel I have to do something useful but usually that feeling looses.
About energy I am a highly sensitive person which means that I pick up energy very easily and I have to retreat often as negative energy hits me hard. Now I am older I learned to deal with it a bit more but I still need solitude or walk with my husband in nature. I must find some sage or sweet grass . My husband might know them he is the gardener. I don’t know much about crystals either I am attracted to amethyst. My favourite necklace has one. Ahoranui (lots of love) marja

Hi Marja, that is what weekends are for ‘Mucking around in’ lol, and amethyst is a good crystal to have…. I think many now are becoming more sensitive to subtle energy changes as we get more in-tune with nature and our environment.. If only we could see the energy exchanges we would see how its being thrown backwards and forwards all the time between people as we mingle and walk among others… We if we are open or at a low ebb can soon absorb another’s negative traits and thoughts… I often have to ask myself ‘Is this MY feeling? or am I picking it up?’ Love and Blessings ~Sue xxx

To add a positive note here 🙂 I well relate to your comments about town centre shops etch but round here were are finally starting to see town centres returning to life with brand new shops replacing the long standing empty ones. Granted they are mostly hi-class coffee shops but they are very popular and it has to be said very attractive shops with character and individuality. So it does happen 🙂 On the other hand we are somewhat overrun with them and they are very expensive so I’m disinclined to use them! But still, they do create a nice cosy atmosphere 🙂

Crystals have always fascinated me…it’s a shame that the time when I decided to pursue my interest in depth, the family I was living with at that point had to demand and bully their way into the books and materials being handed over to their daughter who had immediately expressed an interest when she saw them. At the time I believed them when they told me how stupid and immature I was being wishing to learn more of these matters and that I was indeed very selfish and uncaring to wish to educate myself when their daughter wanted the materials for herself. It proved a very humiliating and crushing sort of experience, mentally and emotionally and from then I wrote off any chances of pursuing not only my increasingly keen interest in crystals but also on any future hopes and aspirations.I guess this suited them very nicely as it gave them more complete control…but I am free of them now and following my hopes and aspirations… now I am daring to think of crystals again…but that particular humiliation is I fear perhaps a little too engrained to go back on 🙂

Maybe Wolfie, it has appeared right now, because its the time to let go of that Fear… We are within a gateway of renewal, and I have found life throws up those fears so that we can confront them and put them behind us… Should you wish to learn more about certain crystals, then look on my crystal and things page in top header… I would think you would work well with your intuition to being guided as to which to choose to help you in gaining your confidence in over coming this particular bad memory attachment…

What a wonderful post and as much as I know all of these things to be so, my job sitting at a computer all day trying to work on a new system has me struggling just to get from day to day. As you know, Fibromyalgia causes chronic fatigue and the system overload of newly learned information has not helped. Next August I will be 62yrs old and am contemplating retiring early. Here we can collect Social Security, which is not much, but with my retirement money such as it will be it might be okay. I would find a parttime job doing something to cover the cost of some medical insurance but it would be something I want to do, rather than something to pay bills. Well, I ramble on, but I love your post as it is something I know I should do but am mostly too exhausted to move forward doing it. Take care and keep those lovely photos coming. I feel better just in reading this. xoxox

Hi Renee, Yes the computer can drain you as it emits various types of energy that can be draining, To help neutralize it you might try some Black Tourmaline or Hematite.. I have a bracelet which contains these stones, If you can not find these try some smoky quartz crystals to put at the side of you computer as you work, and if you can try to carry some of them around in a small pouch to keep on your person… They really DO help… in healing also… To find out more about what stones you can use near your PC.. I found this link for you to take a look at when time allows… Take care and you never ramble Renee, I love hearing your news.. 🙂 my friend ~Sue

Sue, I hope you have shaken the negativity now. How sad your community has traded the small businesses for the big box, some here have done the same, but our down town is still thriving. I enjoy my ventures through town as it gives me the opportunity to converse with so many wonderful people.

Btw, I too have a collection of rocks I like to pick up and hold. I can feel their energy each one unique.

And as much as I love the Rain to have almost a week now of constant rain day and night.. its sometimes dampens our spirits… So I set too and made some Home made tomato soup… I included in my recipe pages.. So easy and Yummy and heart warming..
Yes the town feels sad…… and yet people still do not see how the Big Supermarkets are crushing society as no one now communicates much as they rush to do their shopping with strangers in an atmosphere of much negativity..
I hope your town never allows it to happen Lois…

Sue, I too am feeling the effects of the diminishing amount of sun as we move into the autumn. Unlike you, I tend to sleep more this time of year.

I will have to take some time and look over all the recipes you have added recently, I’m sure there are one or two that would make a lovely addition to Christmas dinner…. Yes I am already planning what to make as I have limited cooking appliances. 🙂

WalMart has taken over a good amount of the local business, but there is still enough to support the independent small businesses in the town. I also believe the local university helps to keep them going as our businesses are very unique. We have one store that while I never recall the whole name of it, the word oddities is in there. And that’s what I like about the store. The owner has filled the store with odd things he finds at estate sales. You never know what you will find. 🙂 Now if only WalMart would leave 😦

I love the oddities store. I can’t get inside anymore because of the stairs, but enjoy window browsing and will from time to time do business with the owner from outside. He’s wonderful, will bring things to me to see and do our transactions right there on the front walkway. 🙂

Not only do the big stores drain the life from the towns, but the connections I get to make and the service is so much friendlier and fun when shopping the small stores.
