Absence and Me Time

Smiling Buddha

Summertime is here in the U.K. and Wow its so good not to miss.. As we don’t get treated often to waking up day after day to perpetual Sun.. So while it is here I have been making the most of the outdoors, our garden and of course our Granddaughter..

Work also for me during the Summer months are one of my busiest times, as I now work as a Relief Support Worker, I fill in for annual leave and illness cover.. So with that combined with the Good weather has left very little time for anything else..

VeggiesThe Allotment is reaping its rewards now, and we are on a roll with picking peas, and tomorrow after I am back from working the evening/night shift, the freezing of Peas and Broccoli will be on the go along with the making of Soup from the stalks which I am giving a go this year too..

Our Granddaughter eating Peas among the Sunflowers

The Joy has also been had in looking after our Granddaughter . Who is just loving our allotment especially the Pea-picking and eating Smile .. She is a true outdoor nature girl and to say she is just over 2 and a half years old already knows many plants and weeds..

So in-between working and gardening I have been spending lots of ME TIME just relaxing and enjoying the Summer.. I decided to give technology a miss for a time.. Hence that’s why I have not been on Word Press in a week..

I really value my followers here on Word Press and I thank you all so very much for the comments upon my last post.. I have yet to answer them all.. and repay your visits..

But at times one has to be a little selfish and put Self first  so I may be absent a little while longer on WordPress as in Summer Lantern Lightmy spare time I will be busy with harvesting and some ‘Me-Time’…

So Take care and Love to you all… I will be back Soon to see what you have all been up to..

And thank you for your continued support you are all very special friends.

Love and Blessings to you All..

~Sue Dreamwalker ~

My daughter and my granddaughter are coming to live with me for a while, from tomorrow so life is going to get busier. My granddaughter is 6 months old and can sit, crawl and just about pull herself upright. The children now are the choice generation. Enjoy your Me time and the sun.

Life will certainly get busier Beverley, with your Daughter and granddaughter.. I agree with you, those being born now are growing ever faster and far more forward than when My own children were small… They will have to be the choice generation for they will have much to contend with… Thank you … I enjoyed my selfish time 🙂

Do enjoy yourself Sue. Your certainly deserve that and I know you’re having such a sweet time with your beautiful Granddaughter too! I love her little hats and pink blouse. She is such a bright light! 🙂

I look forward to hearing about your garden, and the things you make. I’m not doing any gardening of veggies this year, as the sun is just too hot for me. I may volunteer a little more at the gardens, but I’m ready for some mountains 🙂

Sending you wishes of good health, relaxing days (although it sounds like your schedule is full, at least around the garden), and much, much Love to you!

    Peace and Blessings,

We don ‘t get this kind of weather very often Sue, and I think it’s made us all take time out from WordPress. Phew!! Thank goodness for today’s drizzle, it’s a welcome relief. As everyone is saying, me time/time out whatever we call it, gives us a chance to catch up with other important aspects of our lives. Loving the photo’s above, and a chance to catch up with you, your allotment and seeing your grandaughter. technonology can take a back seat. 🙂 love and light. xPenx

Hi Pen, yes technology took a back seat, and probably will again shortly.. But as I did all my chores, and no work today.. I thought I would catch up with everyone’s comments.. The drizzle today is welcome, and we are making the most of Sunny days.. lets face it.. We don’t usually get summers like this one.. And after last year I think we are all Sun-starved and were going rusty with all that rain!… Good to see you too have had a break for a time….
Love to you my friend.. 🙂 xxx Sue

Hi Sue! What a sweet thing she is, too. My youngest grandchild is 5yrs old now, name is Kade, and he taught me how to play ‘rock, paper, scissors’ the other day here. Guess I’m not too old to learn new things. LOL Training is finally winding down and the projects on the house as well so I can get it up for sell soon. My roommate lost her job so it has been a bit stressful all the way ’round here for the past couple months or more. She is a cancer survivor and now without insurance and looking hard for work so send some of your good energy and thoughts our way, will you? I love coming here and have missed it so as all of my energy is drained. I only post once in awhile so it has been hard as I love to write. Glad you are enjoying the outdoors and your granddaughter. Such wonderful things in life. Blessings to you always.

Laughing at Kade teaching you new tricks LOL.. they are amazing aren’t they! .. Sorry to hear about your room-mate Renee, I am sending you both.. Its so awful your system of insurance for health care.. we are so lucky here in the UK with our National Health Service NHS.. But things are getting worse even here as the pot is running dry with the explosion of people needing care..
Thank you for your compliment like wise Renee, your poems always amaze me.. I am here less, but trying to catch up in spurts as the outdoor and garden calls in our beautiful summer.. And after all last years rain we are making the most of it this year..
Sending to you and your friend.. Know all is well…… and so it is… Love Sue xoxox

The summer has been fantastic this year, days of endless sun sitting out in the garden with a book and an Ice cold beer.
Though my work time has been hard sat in the office all night and then trying to sleep through the warm summer days not so good.

Spending time in my garden its actually looking quite good at the minute……kind of odd but sometimes I sit there early evening and think woooow I actually did that…..far cry from doing the Doors……!

Glad you are enjoying the sun and your “me” time!

Glad you have taken pleasure in getting your garden nice to sit in, Nothing beats the quiet-solitude as the breeze blows and the birds chirp… We have a small pond and water feature, the sound of running water adds to the magic… So Pleased you finding time out to Chill…. and are finding You! 🙂

You and your little grand daughter are also special and the garden and the other good work you do. If our posts are not as frequent as we would like it is better to have quality posts than rushed ones. Their is far too much pressure in our modern world it is not selfish to take the time needed to calm the mind. With a calm mind we are at our best. Balance is needed go with the flow Wu-wie and may the force be with you, Sue Dreamwalker.

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love...
